The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

MissH - so sorry you are going through it again. Can't imagine how you must be feeling. Agree with the others re attending on Monday, if you can brave it. At my local EPU, they do these appointments first thing in the morning, so you don't have to sit in the same waiting room.

HollyBen - don't feel bad about thinking like that. Getting past your due date is really tough & its ok to feel that way, at least for a while Wink

LaceyLee · 05/04/2014 17:24

So sorry missH. Such a horrible time, do take it easy you poor thing Confused

Penguin13 · 05/04/2014 17:11

MissH I am so very sorry you and your OH are going through this again Sad Life is so bloody unfair. Sending you love and hugs.

HollyBen · 05/04/2014 16:42

I am such a cowbag. On the bus and saw a v preggers woman walking down the street. Was sat there thinking that should be me (due date in 11 days sigh) Founf myself giving her evilsSad wtf is that about. Gave myself to stern talking to.
On thd upside. I am off to see Justin Timberlake tonight. Wouldn't be doing that if I was due soon would I

MissHobart · 05/04/2014 15:31

EPU Say to wait for my scan on Monday unless I feel ill Hmm

Had a nap, drinking coffee, I'll be ok, just devastated Sad

Thanks for all the support ladies! Smile Thanks

BobaFetaCheese · 05/04/2014 15:07

Thanks for MissH, thinking of you. So sorry for your loss, hope it's not too physically painful x

HollyBen · 05/04/2014 14:02

Oh no missh I have everything crossed that it is not another MC. Might be worth a call to your local EPU see what they say? I can understand why you wouldn't want to go in and see all the happily unaware upduffers. It seems variable where you need to wait. In Edinburgh you have to go in to the hospital by the same door but they have a separate waiting and scanning rooms for the EPU. Take care of yourself. Big hugs x

Justonemoretime · 05/04/2014 13:29

bloody predictive text... things... St Marys OR Liverpool...Blush

Justonemoretime · 05/04/2014 13:22

MissH Sad so sorry for you. Welcome to the RMC club; the one no one want to be a member of. Thinks to do now, grim as it is, catch and save anything that you pass. take it to the epu asap. If you take it to a&e, be clear that they are NOT to store it in formaldehyde. This will render it useless for testing. Genetic testing is an important part of your journey to diagnosis. I know its horrid, but any information you can get will help you later. Insist on getting a referral to St Marys of Liverpool for immunology and clotting and perhaps self refer to Coventry if you can for Prof Quenby's clinic for diagnosis of any implantation issues. That costs £360. I'd complain about your midwife, insensitive so and so. Keep any appointments you have, best to have any scans you can as they can get an idea of any immediate issues and order tests on the 'products' (sorry). Also, a big bleed doesn't always mean mc, and you'll want to confirm that. Thinking of you and wishing you well, under the circumstances. x

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 05/04/2014 12:31

Thanks *MissH same to you!

That actually really made me laugh, which I definitely needed so Thanks

Hope your next few days pass as well as they can in the circumstances and you get the support you need

sebsmummy1 · 05/04/2014 12:29

MissH I am so so sorry Sad

Littlelady33 · 05/04/2014 12:27

MissH I'm so very very sorry. Nothing much more I can really say but hope that you get the best treatment possible today.

Carly6971 · 05/04/2014 12:06

MissH I am so sorry. Can't begin to imagine how your feeling. I am actually sat here having a little cry for you :( it's like you guys have all become my friends. I can't get why bad things happen to such good people?! I hope your as ok as anyone ever can be, thinking of you xxx

MissHobart · 05/04/2014 10:44

Wait - All mine have been between 4+5 and 5+5. Each one has lasted a little longer than the one before, at this rate I'll be 90 before one reaches term Hmm

Welcome! But hope you fuck off soon! Wink

IhavetowaitHOWlong · 05/04/2014 10:33

Thanks for the welcome guys, though I still wish I wasn't here, no offense intended of course!

MissH sorry to hear your news. Want to hold hands? I was 5+3 when my mc started on Thursday, so this little bean lasted four days longer than my last one. I'm really not finding the "just look at is as a late period and try not to dwell" attitude helpful, especially when I feel so physically awful this time. Glad you're getting good support from your GP. I'm now wondering if I should have contacted GP rather than midwife who basically told me "EPU wouldn't see you before seven weeks anyway so we can't do anything. Let us know the outcome, but we're not concerned until you've had three in a row". Oh good, I'm so glad its not causing you any distress, I'll try not to trouble you further Hmm

Huge congratulations to those with BFPs. Sending sticky wishes your way!

MissHobart · 05/04/2014 10:14

OH is here, we're just staring at the telly my phone EPU will refer me to rmc clinic, nowhere near London but happy to trust in my local fertility clinic at the moment

The cramps have just begun Sad

Metalhead · 05/04/2014 10:14

So sorry MissH, sometimes it is hard to believe life can be so cruel. Agree with others that you should keep your scan appt if you can face it, they will be able to check whether the mc is complete. Thanks

Welcome to the newbies, I hope you won't be here for long but in the meantime I'm sure you'll find some great moral support and advice on here just like I have.

TeaRex · 05/04/2014 09:02

missH I'm so so sorry :( I know there's nothing I can say to make it any better but we're all here for you and I'm glad you've got such a good gp too

Triplespin · 05/04/2014 08:57

Oh missh I am so sorry. Do you have a local EPU open on Saturdays? If you are in London then UCH and St. George are open in Saturday mornings if you wish to go. The wait till Monday will be agonising.

If it isn't good news then you should definitely ask for a referral. Having done a lot of research the two places you should try to get a referral to are: St Mary (London) and Prof Quenby (Coventry). Still hope that it doesn't come to that.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 05/04/2014 08:55

Oh MissH, I'm so so sorry too. I can't add anything that the girls haven't already said. I just hope you have lots of support at home. I really hope that they can figure out why this is happening for you. Sending you lots of love and hugs

tannyLoo · 05/04/2014 08:47

Oh MissH I'm so sorry to hear that. It's really shit.

I have kept scan appts in the past when I've been miscarrying, I did with my last one. They can check you out, and see how it's progressing. Your body is important too.

Sending you big hugs and hoping you are ok.Thanks

Viperama · 05/04/2014 08:46

MissH I'm so sorry! Sad
When I mc I went straight to hospital and the epu saw me to scan and check for a heartbeat, I was 5 and something (prefer not to work out the exact stage now for obv reasons). They said they should be able to pick up something and there was no heart beat, just a sac. They saved images and booked a follow up for 1 week later and compared images to confirm I had mc completely. If I were you I'd go for the early scan on Monday, or maybe call them today and see if you can bring Mondays forward today. At least you can feel you're doing something in this time you've no control over. Big hug from me

healthyhippo · 05/04/2014 08:34

MissH, so sorry that its happening to you again Thanks
Wait, I'm also feeling guilty for making DH wait so long, I'm also 37. He is so lovely and supportive and just wants me to be better after the mcs. I just feel terrible about my age.

MissHobart · 05/04/2014 08:10

I'm seeing GP again on Thursday so will get the next ball rolling. I'll cancel my midwife appointment which was on the 15th.

IT IS SO UNFAIR!!!!!!

Waiting for OH to wake up to tell him, it was his birthday last Tuesday, I'm just glad it stuck about till after that Sad

MissHobart · 05/04/2014 08:08

My GP is fucking amazing, I've already had every possible blood test for fertility and rmc, all fine, I'm booked in for an early scan on Monday, not sure what to do, might call them, I'm assuming my early scan would be done in the same place as the pregnant people, not sure I could cope with that but they'd be able to check everything has gone no? Or do they scan somewhere else for that? It's booked with EPU.

The only thing left for my GP to do is refer me to the rmc clinic and they'll do scans for lining etc I assume. OH will have to actually get his tests done now.
