As the title says really. I know it doesn't happen for everyone straight away but just wanted to hear how long it took to get bfp. I'm currently on cycle 3 ttc#1. Thanks :)

#1 1 cycle but mmc
#2 8 cycles and still ttc

weebairn · 22/03/2014 07:40

I have some friends who took 2.5 years with their first and 1 month with their second.

weebairn · 22/03/2014 07:40

DC1 - 4 months after coming off pill
DC2 - 1st cycle after taking coil out

I feel very fortunate.

DramaAlpaca · 21/03/2014 22:48

#1 10 cycles
#2 1 cycle
#3 3 cycles

No idea why it was so quick the second & third times Confused.

A friend of mine tried for 15 years with not even a hint of a bfp. Much to her shock she got pg at 44 & again at 46 so now has 2 DC she thought she'd never have.

Hope everyone trying gets a bfp soon.

naty1 · 20/03/2014 21:07

Thesimplethings - were you unexplained infertility?

Thesimplethings · 20/03/2014 20:48

Dc1 took 8 years and two failed Ivf treatments before I finally fell pregnant the cycle after our last failed Ivf.

Dc2 was a surprise when dc1 was 6 months old.

7.... Felt like 107 Confused

RandomInternetStranger · 20/03/2014 20:29

First time round it was 5 years so, what... say 50? 55?

Second time round 1. Shock (Different father though and much as my ex made out it was my fault & stupidly I bought it, I'm starting to think it wasn't - I never did see his sperm test results which he just said were all fine... Hmm)

eurochick · 20/03/2014 20:14

To post from the other end of the spectrum:

pg#1 (mc) - cycle 28 of ttc
pg#2 (still going as far as I know) - cycle 38 of ttc

Both were IVF. We are "unexplained" - no test has ever shown any reason why we were not getting pregnant.

2kidsintow · 20/03/2014 18:45

pg1 - 1 month
pg2 - 1 month
pg3 - 2 months
DD1 - 1 month
DD2 - 2 months

MyNameIsKenAdams · 20/03/2014 18:44

Dd - two cycles
Preg #2 - (unsuccessful) - 4 cycles
This preg - 1 cycle. Dtd twice that month two. Must have just happened to be the right days.

RPopz · 20/03/2014 18:40

6th cycle and counting ttc #1. Not sure if that's a long time or not but the statistic "majority conceive in 3 months" really panics me :-( I'm 28 and DH is 33

Tranquilitybaby · 20/03/2014 16:40

1st cycle for both, so very fortunate I know. Hoping no. 3 will be as stress free but we're 10 years down the line now. X
