Anyone want to join me?

I'm 36 yo, ttc #1 and very excited about it. It's something I have wanted to do for a long time but it took me a while to find mr right!

l know I am no spring chick so I have some anxieties around that but I am trying to do everything right (eating well, exercising, cutting out alcohol/caffeine etc) and I want to start off optimistic :) am a seasoned pessimist/worrier!

Have been tracking my cycle for a good while. My periods are pretty regular and I thought I could feel my ovary twinging (strongly) when it wad supposed to. This has synched with positive opks so I guess I will soon be starting my first 2ww.

hi everyone. sympathies to those who haven't been lucky with a sticky bean... TTC is such an emotional roller coaster i never imagined it would be like this.

i am on cycle 4, CD22. Highly doubt we're going to be lucky this month as DH works away and I think we only got in 1 baby making day together over the right timing - maybe we'll get lucky but who knows. Definitely not feeling it and in fact been partying a bit despite being in TWW. My last three cycles i've been teetotal in TWW "just in case" but feeling a bit despondent about it now.

que sera sera .... whatever will be will be...

Hi Lk265
Nice to hear from you sorry to hear about AF. I found the first few months harder as a lot of expectations. Hope your ok xx

Lk265 · 16/05/2014 09:43

LadesC so sorry to hear that, hope you're okay.... am sure you must be really sad and turned upside down by the whole thing.

my AF came today after what I was really hoping was our month! So am sad and I know it's only month 2 but kinda feel like this is never gonna happen. Sad

impatientlywaiting14 · 12/05/2014 17:50

LadesC Im so sorry to hear that. It sounds awful. Glad to hear you have a little ray of light and have the go ahead to try after your next cycle. It means you can start again when you feel ready. Hope things look up for you really soon sending lots of hugs and Flowers

Phryn · 11/05/2014 20:18

LadesC - so sorry to hear that. Really glad that you're heading out the otherside and have the go ahead to try again. You survived the crapstorm (great phrase) and your body can still do amazing things in the future. Hoping you can heal quicky and keep holding onto hope xx

LadesC · 11/05/2014 20:09

Well its been a bit of a crapstorm. Ended up in theatre last nite for suspected ectopic. Thankfully it wasnt and they did a d and c whilst i was under. I wont bore you with the details as prob not appropriate on this thread but ive been given go ahead to try again after next period so ill be back. Has been a hellish few days but hopefully comin out the other side x

bakingmad83 · 10/05/2014 14:08

So sorry to hear that LadesC, hope you are taking it easy and being well looked after x

impatientlywaiting14 · 10/05/2014 12:43

LadesC I'm So sorry :( how are you today xxxx Flowers

patienceisvirtuous · 09/05/2014 14:56

Lades I'm sorry. I had heavy bleeding and awful cramps but no faintness - however I often feel faint during a heavy period. It could be stress/cramps.

But I would keep an eye and go to walk-in or docs if you don't feel any better.

Hugs and take good care of yourself. Do you have anyone with you?

We can commiserate together - but it's a really good sign we got a BFP xxx

LadesC · 09/05/2014 14:24

Hi ladies. Am now bleeding heavily with cramps n feelin a bit light headed. So its defo game over sadly. Is it normal do you think to feel a bit faint??

impatientlywaiting14 · 09/05/2014 13:06

ok good to hear baking xx

Hugs to you patience xx

Hoping for positive news for you LadesC As patience and baking said maybe your dates are a little out xx

bakingmad83 · 09/05/2014 08:12

Thanks impatientlywaiting, so far so good, but still early days x

Hopefully your dates are out a little LadesC. I know one of my friends was about 10 days behind where she thought she was when she had her first scan x

patienceisvirtuous · 09/05/2014 07:39

Aw no Lades.

Could it be your dates are just a little out so nothing can be seen on scan yet?

I will keep my fingers X for the weekend for you xx

OP posts:
impatientlywaiting14 · 09/05/2014 07:01

I hope you are ok LadesC keeping fingers and toes crossed for you xxxx

impatientlywaiting14 · 09/05/2014 06:59

Your welcome Baking its only as i was looking things up last night on the nhs site and see the page about not changing the cats tray that (as i have cats) i read that about the parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. I wasn't aware before that x hope your well

bakingmad83 · 09/05/2014 06:38

Hopefully there will be some positive news for you at the weekend LadesC.

Thanks for the reminder impatientlywaiting, though I'm already really careful when out in the garden as our neighbours have cats who it seems aren't litter trained. My husband always picks up after them though.

impatientlywaiting14 · 08/05/2014 21:28

I have seen on here a few have mentioned gardening. I have read that there can be toxins in soil left from cat feces so please take care when gardening, wear gloves and wash hands thoroughly . Hope everyone is ok xxxx

impatientlywaiting14 · 08/05/2014 21:14

Ladesc so sorry to hear that. there is still hope yet though keeping my fingers crossed. I really hope your ok Thanks

LadesC · 08/05/2014 19:44

Looks like bad news in my camp too. Should be 6 plus 2 but had my scan and there isnt even a gestation sac. Am positive about my dates and my hcg is high ish so could be ectopic or failed preg altho Im shitting myself on the ectopic front. Surely Id have had more bleeding with clots if i was miscarrying at 6weeks which makes me think ectopic altho nothing was seen so far on scan. More blood tests on sat and prob a scan on sun so time will tell i guess. Sad

impatientlywaiting14 · 08/05/2014 15:44

Hi thamrin yes they are arn't they, hope your well xx

thamrin · 08/05/2014 07:54

Patient and Impatient... funny nicknames you two.... I'm definitely on the impatient side of things Hmm

Good to hear from you patience you can only try to pick the positives from these things: happened early, conceived quickly etc... you're doing great.

i think these early mc/chemical pregnancies are more common than we know as most people dont discuss them out there in the open do they. well we always have these threads to support each other's celebrations, commiserations, disappointments & heartache.

Cake Brew hugs to you and be strong.

impatientlywaiting14 · 07/05/2014 22:47

Hi patience so nice to hear from you, hope you are feeling a little better soon and looking after yourself xxxx

patienceisvirtuous · 07/05/2014 22:35

Thanks ladies. Am doing ok. Feel a bit low but trying to take a couple of positives from it all - that it didn't happen further down the line - and I got pregnant quickly so no reason why I won't conceive again (hopefully soon :) )

How are you all doing?

impatientlywaiting14 · 07/05/2014 20:52

Wondering how patience is doing and wanting to send Thanks Thanks xxxx
