Anyone want to join me?

I'm 36 yo, ttc #1 and very excited about it. It's something I have wanted to do for a long time but it took me a while to find mr right!

l know I am no spring chick so I have some anxieties around that but I am trying to do everything right (eating well, exercising, cutting out alcohol/caffeine etc) and I want to start off optimistic :) am a seasoned pessimist/worrier!

Have been tracking my cycle for a good while. My periods are pretty regular and I thought I could feel my ovary twinging (strongly) when it wad supposed to. This has synched with positive opks so I guess I will soon be starting my first 2ww.

My boobs are killing. Even keeping me awake (along with MN of course).

The 'saliva thing' is more saliva than usual, with a possibly imaginary strange taste? Of course I may have just read about this as a possible pregnancy symptom and internalised it. I seem to have slightly lost touch with reality this month! Thought it better join in to vent here as I'm generally considered quite normal in real life...

patienceisvirtuous · 18/03/2014 00:01

Welcome Moo :)

What saliva thing?? Oo sounds quite promising.

I am symptom spotting too - my boobs are sore (altho could be due to ov) and I am feeling pmt rage of epic proportions even tho it's too early for pmt.

Um, hello. Can I join in? 33yo, TTC #1. Currently in my first ever TWW. About 10dpo, I think. No great hopes for this month as I think our timing was off (DH works away). Thought I was treating it as a practice run. And yet the symptom spotting has begun in earnest... Despite being off pill for ages I obviously took no notice of what was going on as I can't honestly remember whether my boobs are normally this sore. And this weird saliva thing? Does that normally happen? Argh.

Semi will be great for you to deliver the news and surprise everyone :)

We are the same in that I think friends have assumed I may not be interested in having any. I always have been, it's just I never said and they never asked - probably because until now I haven't been in a committed relationship. My family know how much it means to me though so they will be delighted if all goes to plan :)

Hi this is my 2nd cycle ttc I am on day 5 of my cycle so will start using my sticks end of next week. I am a 32 day cycle so have a bit of time to wait. Hope won't be too long for an bfp xx

Semirural · 16/03/2014 20:23

Odd thing is acknowledging that we are ttc. No one in real life knows and if we are lucky enough to get a bfp, it'll be a surprise to friends / family (I do 'professional career women' well!)

patienceisvirtuous · 16/03/2014 20:12

A *good :)

Oh yes, I can while away many an hour on here!!

OP posts:
Semirural · 16/03/2014 20:04

Of course you can ithink, more the merrier :)

Congratulations on the upcoming nuptials Catface, how exciting!! Yes ttc is trying to conceive. You might get a honeymoon baby :)

OP posts:
CatFaceCrayola · 16/03/2014 16:31

Completely new to mumsnet and a little confused by it all.
Me and my man shape are getting married in 25 days :) I came off the pill just over a month ago and we're making a start at ttc (I'm assuming that means trying to concieve?)

It's all rather exciting

ithinkineedahug · 16/03/2014 15:49

Can I join? not quite ttc yet but implant us being removed next week. been on contraception for 10 years so I'm looking forward to getting my periods and tracking them. OPKs bought to help too :) DH keeps mentioning more that he is getting broody ..very excited!

bakingmad83 · 16/03/2014 14:01

I know someone whose allergies were a lot better with pregnancy, so you might be lucky too patience.

Fingers crossed for you MsFB!

patienceisvirtuous · 16/03/2014 13:50

Yeah baking I think so. The only problem with ttc now for me is if I do conceive quickly my hayfever will be a bugger to contend with without my usual meds!

Hi MsFB! Welcome and good luck :)

msfatbooty · 16/03/2014 13:42

Hi everyone! Just started ttc too (just last night!)
AF due at the end of the month... so nervous and excited!
It's taken a while to get DP on board, so I really hope all goes smoothly.
Good luck everyone!
xxx

Sounds like a lovely vision patience and probably more comfortable to be in the later stages of pregnancy in winter than the height of summer if it's hot.
