Morning!

Sounding really promising there Hazel. Loads of people seem to say sore boobs is one of their first signs they're pregnant don't they! Are you going to wait again until weekend to test? I'll keep everything crossed for you!

Lolly nothing to report from me really. Still dtd, no idea when AF is due. Have no idea when I'll test if she doesn't show up either. Doctor said to start testing from 5th week, but I have no idea, might just have to wait and see how I feel at the time. I've given up on the OPKs, really didn't like peeing in a cup so regularly and like you said, seeing the negatives just kept stressing me out. It's highly likely I would miss the surge as well, so decided to sack it off and just see what happens. Things can't get any worse than last month (I really hope this is the case anyway) so just thought I'll have to wait it out. I am temping though, but I don't think that really shows you too much until you've done it for a few months!

I think moisturising your skin seems like a good idea. Can't hurt can it!

Hazelbrowneyes · 31/03/2014 11:07

AF due on Friday.

I won’t test again Lolly and I wasn’t too disappointed, I just have a load of ICs and decided one test on Mother’s Day can’t hurt Grin

I’ve been taking folic acid, vitamin D and vitamin C since November Lolly and haven’t noticed luminous yellow wee?! What brand are you using?

Mind firmly being taken off the 2ww by work…it’s absolutely manic here today.

Lolly84 · 31/03/2014 10:45

Hope its time for your BFP Hazel. You must be about 4-5 days away from AF? I would highly recommend (obvs don't listen to me if you don't want to hehe) that you wait until your late to test again. Seeing BFN's will possibly make you disappointed. When I used opk for the first time I was getting stressed that I hadn't ovulated yet. This is the time to sit back and relax and let your body do what it needs to do. So much goes on in the 2ww as you know.

So I have tried to work out my due date, I think it may be the 2nd of dec eek. Going to phone the doc at some point today. The thing that is delaying it is not believing I am pregnant. Best call soon as work is hectic and need to fit in an appointment. Done all my folic acid which is good, still using the ones that make your wee illuminous yellow. Def not buying them again when I run out. My sis told me to start moisturing around loads stomach to get used to it before skin stretches, are any of you pg ladies doing it?

Helen how you doing? X

misskgb · 31/03/2014 10:26

When's af due hazel?

Hazelbrowneyes · 31/03/2014 08:48

Morning, I hope you all had fab weekends Smile

I tested yesterday and of course, it was a BFN. I was only 9 or 10dpo though so I guessed it would be Grin

I am, of course, symptom spotting. Breasts are unbelievably sore. I’m not having the same stretchy cramps I’ve had the last few months at this time either. Oh and I am exhausted. I fell asleep on the sofa at 9pm last night and then slept right through until 7.30 this morning. I could easily go back to bed now.

Err, that’s it Grin but it’s different from the last few months so I’m holding onto everything I’ve got. I’m a little freaked that a BFP this month would mean I’d be due on my birthday but then I quickly have a word with myself to remind me that I want a baby and wouldn’t stop TTC for anything. I am wishing I’d used OPKs a bit earlier though!

Ladymillion · 29/03/2014 14:17

Haha indeed Helen! Wink

I will deffo be straight on here to let you all know what the outcome is. Eeekkk so nerve-racking! I did panic a bit yesterday actually cuz I couldn't find this thread haha! It just vanished from my list Shock

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 11:27

P.s. I'd never forget you because you're my hope that you can have long cycles and irregular periods and still get pregnant :)

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 11:16

Sorry, I did remember you about 2 minutes later! Just because we've not heard from you in a while :) exciting news about the scan. Let us know how you get on!!

Ladymillion · 29/03/2014 10:52

Congrats Lolly!! Thanks great news

Yes Helen you forgot big old me haha, hi everyone, taking a quick 5 minutes outta work! Work is soooo tedious these days! Anyway I'm 7+3 today I think and I have booked an early 'reassurance scan' which is on Tuesday morning. The anxiety is eating me up girls! Fingers crossed all is well and I can breathe a bit!

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 10:33

Haha yeah, honestly I wasn't going for a 'woe is me' style post, just a tiny keyboard that's hard to operate when laid down!!!

Yeah we're looking in to when we can get away and what we can do to relax a little bit. Sooooo many people say the month they got their BFP was the month they were the most relaxed about it, my sister included, so there has to be some truth in it!

misskgb · 29/03/2014 10:05

Yes lolly 400mg. Bought a twin pack of tests. The line on Sunday afternoon was definitely there but feint so used the other on the mon morn n much stronger. Went dox that day just coz they have open surgery n I can be late to work on a Monday morning. They booked my 8 week appt straight away. Its on Tuesday n im stupidly excited by it!!

Woe helen?! That made me chuckle! :-)

Yay! Excellent news, Lolly! It took ages to sink in for me, so just sit back and let it happen. As weebairn said, take the folic acid supplements because when you see your GP they will ask if you're already taking them, and if not you will be told to take them from now onwards. You can get folic acid on its own, or as part of a multivitamin - it really depends on personal preference which you go for.

Try and avoid Googling - it actually only leads to stress! I've found having two pregnancy related books has helped enormously because then I can read all of the general information without getting distracted by horror stories, and also it means you can skip over anything you're not quite ready to read about....unlike on the internet where I'm sure you just end up being ambushed by information you weren't even looking for!

The lucky thread strikes again. Fingers still crossed for you Helen, and Hazel!

Hope you all have something nice planned for the weekend

Lolly84 · 29/03/2014 09:29

Ah thanks ladies. You really have been such a support. I know I wasn't there rom the beginning but have watched the thread from early on.

Helen and Hazel I have everything crossed for you. The relaxed approach wasn't intentional from my part and think it would be pretty hard to do. I found out from opk's when I ovulated. The day of my smiley face we dtd and then hubby had a lot on at work so we didn't dtd again so thought I was out. Felt that would be a bit of a mind break and then carried on like not ttc with drinking at weekends. I was super relaxed. Only noticed my boobs sore and then missed period.

I really do recommend a wee cheeky weekend away as it leads to natural dtd than organised dtd.

With my family history I really thought it would take ages and must be honest I thought I would be at doc in a years time. A lot of women in my family have had their children with IVF.

So I have started to google stuff, so much info on what can go wrong. Trying to dodge that at this stage. Is it 400mg of folic acid weebairn?

And I said I would be quiet lol xx

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 08:52

Lady is the 7th!!!! Sorry I missed you :)

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 08:50

Definitely Hazel. H power!!!!xx

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 08:49

Am I right with 7?! Kiki, mrsb, weebairn, misskgb, Gennz, Lolly.... hmm that's 6. Have I missed someone?!

Hazelbrowneyes · 29/03/2014 08:48

Hahaha, great minds, H! Grin

Hazelbrowneyes · 29/03/2014 08:48

Congrats Lolly!

You and me next, H Grin x

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 08:47

Haha no idea what happened there, bloody phone!

Congratulations Lolly. Such amazing news and so happy for you :) You've really made me feel like the relaxed approach is definitely the way to go! Don't blame you for feeling like you do, must be such a surreal experience when you see that bfp!!

I was thinking that weebairn. 7 out of the 9 of us who write on here have their bfps. Just me and Hazel to go!

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 08:43

Woe

mrshjb · 29/03/2014 08:43

Woe

weebairn · 29/03/2014 07:27

Congratulations Lolly! Thanks

It's absolutely fine to be a bit overwhelmed and take some time to process! There's nothing you really need to do immediately anyway, except take folic acid.

There have been an extraordinary amount of BFPs on this thread, it's great. We've only been going a couple of months!

Lolly84 · 28/03/2014 23:11

Thanks Misskgb, I know thought symptoms would be more obv and you have been very on point about just relaxing and dtd. Only dtd twice but at right time with help from opk. I just can't believe it happened as other 2 months I had been obsessed. That weekend away was priceless. Yeh it's a funny feeling as thought I would be bouncing off the walls. Decided to test tonight before DH came in so I could get my own answer of yes or no. Then thought if it's a bfn I have the weekend to sort my head out. Did you continue to test Misskgb?

misskgb · 28/03/2014 22:35

Yes lolly!! See-those 'not pg symptoms' actually were!! So happy for u :-) yep all very strange when u find out n also a bit strange that ure not dancing off the wall with the news. Thats normal so don't worry-just rake your time n take it all in xx

Hey ladies, I just wanted to drop by quickly and share that I have tested today and have a BFP. I spoke to my sis and she helped loads and said she felt exact same before she tested. It wasn't questionable and knew from how regular I am that something was going on. Can't quite believe it. I am not prepared whatsoever for what happens next so need to do a bit of research. DH is in shock, let's hope all goes well. Might be a bit quiet for a few days, very strange feeling xx
