Sorry to hear that patch. I also started period today. I am NEVER going to test again until at least a week late.

I actually feel like a weight has lifted off my shoulders. To go from faint lines to nothing really worried me.

I've been at the docs today for an unrelated(?) dizzy head thing and I mentioned the late period and lack of pregnancy over 5 years of no contraception. Told him we were waiting to see if anything would happen and it hasn't. Also said I'm not too bothered because I have a son. Why did I say that? I am bothered! Think I'm so used to telling everyone who asks that we are happy with one. He's taken blood tests so we'll see if anything is going on with me.

Definition not pregnant. Very heavy bleed, feel as though my insides are falling out (sorry tmi)

Hi. I wasn't tracking AF, but know for certain in I'm at least 4 days late now. cycles range from 24-28 days and never been longer. I tend to have a short luteal phase too. I've been unwell though so it's also possible my body is just messing around. Hey ho, it'll all come out in the wash I suppose!

Needtochillax · 11/03/2014 18:22

Sorry you keep getting bfn :-( How late are you now, have you ever been this late before?

Sorry you feel disappointed, I do too.

bettergetamoveon · 11/03/2014 11:38

I tried the First Response - negative also.

On thinking this all over, I actually think perhaps those very faint early tests did show I was actually pregnant. Now that there's no trace of another line at all, I think it's all over for me and AF will start soon.

I am so disappointed Sad

bettergetamoveon · 11/03/2014 10:42

So I went out and bought one First Response mega early test and also a pack of 3 in the pound shop. Thought I'd try the pound shop one first and there's nothing there. I poured my pee away (TMI!) so will probably just have to wait until later to test on the fancy one. it was £8 and I'm skint so maybe I should wait until the morning to use it.

The annoying thing is I can still see a faint line on those first cheap pound shop tests from days ago. Yes, I know, that's manky keeping them! They took ages to come up though but they don't look like evaporation lines.

Trying not to get disheartened.

Choccywoccydodah · 11/03/2014 07:59

Just sticking my 2pence worth in.
I was getting negatives with FRER and only positives with ic sticks.
Finally got a very faint line on a FRER this morning after getting a line on IC sticks from 3 days ago.
I was getting positives in the afternoon versus the morning (very common apparently)
Please don't get disheartened just yet ladies x

misstiggiwinkle · 11/03/2014 07:56

I tested every day with ic's and the once I got a line I upgraded to a french pharmacy one (I'm on holiday) home on Wednesday so will clear blue it when I'm back but I think it's conclusive, however still v faint lines, thought they would be darker by now. Good luck!

patch77 · 10/03/2014 21:37

Still no sign of af. Still bfn.

Get on with life and hopefully af will appear. Just not this weekend as its my birthday.

bettergetamoveon · 10/03/2014 20:54

Congratulations misstiggiwinkle, at long last! Can I ask, did you test every day and also what hpt you used?

misstiggiwinkle · 10/03/2014 19:56

So at 7 days late I have finally got a BFP! It's faint but its definitely there. Hold strong ladies, I'd pretty much given up all hope but the non appearance of af meant that something was definitely array....and low and behold, faint but def a line

Needtochillax · 10/03/2014 17:08

Thank you. I have kept positive and have bought a pack of cheap ovulation strips on ebay. No point dtd unnecessarily next month Wink
Hopefully that will help us on our way.

bettergetamoveon · 10/03/2014 16:31

Aw I was rooting for you Needtochillax, so sorry to hear your disappointing news. It's just horrible our bodies can play tricks on us Sad

artylady - if nothing happen today then I'll pop out tomorrow and buy once of those fancy tests. Congratulations to you! Let's hope I'm joining you (although I don't feel positive).

artylady14 · 10/03/2014 15:35

I think I am on the same day as you (17dpo?) and I used First Response early result at 13dpo and then confirmed pregnancy with ClearBlue Digital at 14dpo. The cheapo test strip only started to have a faint line today. It may be too soon depending on the tests you are using although I don't know the Boots one. Maybe try one of the two I mentioned again and you may get a different result. Good luck.

Needtochillax · 10/03/2014 15:32

Didn't need to get a test when I got to the supermarket as I came on instead. Fuck. Came home with sanitary products instead of a pt :-( keep me posted on your progress bettergetamoveon, I hope at least one of us gets some good news

bettergetamoveon · 10/03/2014 08:08

BFN Sad
I'm definitely not testing for ages now. There wasn't even the faintest line and I'm now at least 3 days late. It's apparently a Boots 99% accurate one that you can use early. The last time I was pregnant I knew before I tested that I was and I got a positive 4 days before AF due.

Will keep you updated. Hope you have better results when you test.

Needtochillax · 10/03/2014 00:05

You're right, it is torture. I'm going to leave it a couple of days before I test. Although I am off to the supermarket tomorrow so may not be able to resist temptation. Trying not to get my hopes up either. Been ttc for just under a year. Let me know what the results are in the morning, its nice sharing this stuff with someone! Fingers crossed :-)

bettergetamoveon · 09/03/2014 22:51

Sorry, meant to say the Boots ones are also the traditional type.

bettergetamoveon · 09/03/2014 22:50

chillax - the faint lines were all on traditional tests and showed up AGES later. I have another Boots test that I'll do in the morning. I'm so used to being disappointed that I'm really not trying to get my hopes up.

Hope you have some good news tomorrow - do you think you'll test?

This is torture!

Needtochillax · 09/03/2014 22:08

Hi bettergetamoveon,

If there is a faint line maybe you are?? I can remember the line with my first and I did not see it, my husband had to point it out to me! During my evenings of googling I've also read that digital pregnancy tests are not as good as traditional tests at detecting early pregnancies. Was the boots test a digital one? Just wondering :-)

bettergetamoveon · 09/03/2014 20:11

I'm in the same boat as you Needtochillax. I'm normally between 24-28 day cycle, but I'm now at day 30 (at least). I've never went past a 28 day cycle. 2 cheap pound shop tests showed the faintest of positive lines, but I had to squint and wonder if those were evaporation lines. A Boots test today was a BFN - no faint line at all.

Was unwell for 3 weeks since just after last months AF (headaches and dizziness) so am wondering if this is why I'm late. My MIL had said at the time that perhaps I'm going through the Menopause. I'm 38 - cheers for that!

We've not used any contraception since our ds was born 5 years ago. I would love another child, but I feel that if I was actually to get pregnant it'll be a miracle. So annoyed at my body playing tricks on me and anxious that I could be going through the early change of life Sad

Needtochillax · 09/03/2014 16:40

Hey ladies. Can I join! I'm 2 days late and am normally as regular as clock work. Have taken 3 pt all of which have come up as bfn :( have been trying ttc #2

I've used first response and clear blue as tesco's own is always sold out. Must be a popular month ;-)

I guess I am going to have to wait a few more days and hope af doesn't show up. She is being very mean this month!

I'm also symptom spotting like mad. My boobs are a different kind of sore and I am getting a lot of discharge, which I read could be am early sign of pregnancy but once again is it just wishful thinking?

It was so easy first time round :(

patch77 · 08/03/2014 13:58

Not this time bfn :(

OP posts:
bellaboo88 · 08/03/2014 09:18

Have you taken vits or been trying long? My cycles gone from 28to 32/33 lately due to b6 in vits finally kicking in giving me a longer LP.

Did you ovulate later than normal? X

cookielove · 07/03/2014 22:10

First response is a good one to use!

I have only used a clear blue when I already knew I was pregnant just to see the words Blush
