Exciting stuff Writer!

I seriously hope no baby is ever 13lb! Flipping heck, that would be a painful labour!

Glad to hear you're feeling better kurama. Would be great if you got a positive result out of all your pain (I.e. A BFP)

Wellllllll, my ICs might have arrived in the post this morning...omg it is sooooo tempting to pee on one! I have HPTs and OPKs, obviously no need for the OPKs just yet (I'm tempting fate and saving them for next cycle) but I am soooo tempted to pee in a hpt. I'm not due on until Saturday (or possibly tomorrow if I mis-counted my days) and I'm trying to resist, but having a bag full of them is soooooooo tempting! Luckily the postie arrived too late for today's fmu, but I can't guarantee that tomorrow's won't end up on a stick!

With regards to POAS/PIAC - if I have a stick then I pee on it. It's not very pretty but I just keep my hand out of the way and then it doesn't matter if my aim is a little rubbish. I'm another from the all gone down below camp. Can't honestly say that it has made a whole lot of difference though...I think I was just as bad before I got rid of it all! With my new ICs, I'll be PIAC. I was wondering the other day about what to use...would something that used to hold something else (yoghurt pot, tablets tub etc) contaminate the result? I'm guessing that as long as it's washed well then it won't matter what the 'cup' is. I've solved my problem now though by finding a plastic kids beaker (the type you'd use for a picnic/camping trip) and that seems to work quite well didn't practice yesterday. It's narrow enough to 'fit' comfortably but deep enough for me to hold to ridge and pee into it without getting wet fingers!

Whilst we're on the topic - has anyone else been surprised by how much they pee? I didn't think I lost that much fluid in one go, but I found I had to move the cup so it didn't overflow! (Tmi? Sorry!)

kurama · 05/03/2014 15:52

I think the new nhs helpline is 111. im going back to hospital for day 21 bloods in morn and a check up to see how im doing before going back to work. pain is now bearable and its not really sore to touch my stomach anymore so im happy Smile just holding out in the tww till 15th Grin

lindamagoo · 05/03/2014 15:43

I agree, think you should ring NHS helpline for advice Lemon

missmrsmummy · 05/03/2014 15:34

Lemon Could you ring that NHS helpline (if it still exits) to get advice?

LemonDrizzler · 05/03/2014 15:30

Gosh Linda that sounds scary. Glad he was ok after a scary start!

No I don't know when results will be back. I am meant to be going overseas with work tomorrow and I don't know what to do. Started worrying if it is ectopic and that's why bleeding I assume an 8 hr flight is not a good idea. Really stuck on what to do.

lindamagoo · 05/03/2014 15:18

Lemon did they give you any idea when your bloods would be back? You must be so confused.

lindamagoo · 05/03/2014 15:17

Couldn't believe how big I was, I could hardly move and when my waters broke it was terrifying, it wouldn't stop, ds was born with fluid on the lungs and hypothermia because of it, which I'm actually grateful for as I'd been told he may be brain damaged but he was perfect. But I missed out on feeling and seeing him kick and move cause there was too much fluid between him and I Hmm

Writerwannabe83 · 05/03/2014 15:06

Sounds horrendous all these massive bumps!!! - mine is quite small actually and I find it annoying enough Smile I must have the opposite of that condition as my bump is only slightly above average size for the stage I'm at but I'm all baby and little fluid, Grin Bump is rock hard all the time because all you can feel is baby's body Smile

katecupoftea · 05/03/2014 15:02

I'm dreading next week having to do my OPKs at school and carrying it round the corridor! Even though they're IC OPKs I might break the rules and pee directly on it. What's the worst that can happen?

I have a temping question - when do you do it? And how? I have the thermometer and hoping I don't have to shove it up my bum.

LemonDrizzler · 05/03/2014 14:47

Sorry aenor Thanks

Linda yes and another positive but trying to see if it is getting more faint. Definitely not darker anyway. :(

missmrsmummy · 05/03/2014 14:45

How exciting Writer! My friend also had polyhydramnios linda and was huge when pg. Her baby wasn't as big as anticipated when he arrived thankfully! It was all fluid.

Sorry about AF aenor fx for you next time Smile

aenor · 05/03/2014 14:25

AF has arrived for me, so I'm out for this round. Was kind of expecting it as I wasn't feeling lucky this month and had no symptoms (other than increased CM, which appears to mean nothing!).

Will be lurking on this thread till the April bus starts. Good luck to all the ladies still on the bus. FX that you get your BFPs!

sazzlehopes · 05/03/2014 14:20

Great discussion ladies! I too had a large jam jar with wide neck for no missing...but i agree yeo valley pots are a particularly good 'lady shape'!!

Writer - oh wow so exciting! love that you keep us posted...good luck over the next 2 weeks then! x

lindamagoo · 05/03/2014 14:15

Writer I had a condition called polyhydramnious (something like that) when pregnant with ds2, lots of extra fluid that made me measure full term at 32 wks, the specialist said I'd have him by 34 weeks and he'd be about 13lb, had him at 38 + 4 and he was only 7lb 11ozs, thank god, lol Smile

Hazelbrowneyes · 05/03/2014 14:14

I'm going to buy a special plastic cup I think. I can keep it in the bathroom.

Mango male urine does deter foxes. DH is constantly being reminded to go outside Grin

Exciting news Writer!

lindamagoo · 05/03/2014 14:11

Lemon did you do another test this morning?

LemonDrizzler · 05/03/2014 14:10

Just had my blood taken and guess what was on the radio? Ace of base "all that she wants is another baby"! Haha. Ironic or cruel - we'll see!

Writerwannabe83 · 05/03/2014 13:34

I'm hoping he will come on the 16th as that date will also be mine and DH's first Wedding Anniversary Smile It would be lovely!!

When his current weight was calculated based on his scan last week he was just below 7lbs Smile The MW had to go and check my previous scan reports because of how big his measurements were coming out at, but she soon realised he was just a 'generously sized' boy. Between the time scale of my last two scans he has put on over 2lbs in 3 weeks. He is above the 100th percentile line on his growth chart now Smile My MW said even if I didn't have my health concerns they'd be questioning whether I'd need a CS anyway because of how big he is getting, lol Grin

LemonDrizzler · 05/03/2014 13:29

Hehe this conversation is so funny! I use a hair mousse lid. Or if at work the water cooler cups - have had the odd strange look at me putting them in my handbag!

Exciting writer! Hope the last few days go well and you aren't uncomfortable. X

CagedMango · 05/03/2014 13:28

Hazel I've got hens too and also a fox problem. I was told that my husband's wee would deter the fox so I've had him pee in a bottle while I've been piac! Luckily he isn't disgusted by it all (he refused to "water" the garden directly). I just use a plastic cup that I rinse and leave to drain in the bathroom-DH has never commented but I'm sure he knows what it is as I've left it full on the side before!

EnglishGirlAbroad · 05/03/2014 13:25

Wow writer! How exciting!! Albeit a little scary!! And sounds like you have a little bruiser in there! Keep us posted and pop a pic up when he's here!! Smile

gennibugs · 05/03/2014 13:25

writer that is so exciting Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 05/03/2014 13:21

We aren't 100% ready as I'm not technically 'due' for over another 3 weeks. today's appointment has spurred me into acti0on though and this afternoon I plan to do all the washing of baby's clothes and bedding. My MW also thinks baby is even bigger than what the scans are suggesting Shock She gave my bump a good feel and said she's not surprised I'm swearing/nearly in tears whenever baby moves - he's just SO cramped in there and my rib cage is taking the brunt. I've got another appointment with her in 2 weeks but she's pretty convinced baby will be here before then Smile

I have always wondered if I was a little bit further along then they thought as when I tested with a CB Digi, which was on the day my period was due, it said I was already 2-3 weeks pregnant.

Cineraria · 05/03/2014 13:15

I've been a bit strapped for cash since our wedding earlier this year. I was commenting on it to DH and he replied "It can't be that bad. There's no way you can tell me you don't have a pot to pee in because I've seen them stacked up in the bathroom!"

MrsExtraOrdinary · 05/03/2014 13:13

Writer that's ever so exciting! Are you all sorted and ready for the off? Clearly that's 10 days of massages, pedicures and rest in preparation! Wink
