Thanks natty, I got that impression from other peoples' messages. Seems strange they haven't mentioned him and have sent referral?! How long did you wait for the appointment?

Natty1806 · 11/08/2006 17:55

Think they like to test the man before, my DP was tested before we were referred.

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2006 17:38

Exactly! Bloody buggers! Hope you something back from them soon.x

ccpink · 11/08/2006 17:38

Hi
sorry to just jump in mid way through a conversation. We've been kind of trying for over a year but my periods are very irregular. The GP gave me a drug to start them after the pill, which worked but now all over the place. I've just been referred to the gyn't for more of the same and possibly Clomid. I just wondered if anyone knew if they give Clomid before testing the man? Or will this hod us back another few months?

wannaBe1974 · 11/08/2006 17:00

well it's not going to get me pregnant but at least i can shout at someone about it. And if don't hear from them I will contact trading standards and poss the police as well?

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2006 16:58

Excellent message. I think that makes it clear!

Natty1806 · 11/08/2006 16:51

very good e-mail and too bloody right.

wannaBe1974 · 11/08/2006 16:44

have sent them the following email

I placed an order with yourselves on 3 August for Fertility plus for men, the order number is 68006029.
The money was taken from my account on 4 August, however, to date I have not received the order. Numerous efforts to contact you on the various telephone
numbers provided, both in emails and via your website, have resulted in me speaking to various other companies who appear to bear no relation to yourselves.
Could you please advise me when this order is going to be delivered to me.
I am now seriously beginning to wonder if your company actually exists or whether it is just a scam to obtain money by deception.
If I do not hear from you by close of play on Monday, I shall be contacting Trading Standards with a view to having your site closed down for breaching
the trade descriptions act.

wannaBe1974 · 11/08/2006 16:34

the place I bought it from was

here

haven't tried emailing yet but def don't hold out much hope of a solution.

Once I've found out they're definitely fake though I will speak to trading standards and hopefully get the site shut down, plus will put warnings all over this site.

coggy · 11/08/2006 16:05

That's terrible wannaBe.....is their website still there...can we all send them emails for you or anything?

Natty1806 · 11/08/2006 15:34

You must be very when i was searching the web the other day i did find a site that tests you hair and can tell you what you are lacking in vits etc and what you should be eating more off - thought this might be of interest to you but can see why you would be wary now.

You can buy zinc and seline (sp?) tablets in most supermarkets, maybe CAT booboo to see if she can help you on what he needs to eat etc to improve.

Keep trying don't think that it is a sign or anything, it will happen for you i am sure of it.

wannaBe1974 · 11/08/2006 15:21

hiya all

Have just been on to the company where I "bought" the fertility plus for men to find out why I haven't received my order despite the fact they have taken my money. It appears I've been ripped off as the numbers given are not those of the company on the email. One is a business supplies company, one is some agency that is moving offices and although they given an alternative number for this company the man answering was answering his personal phone not in a company name. The company is called natural alternative discoveries - do not order anything from them.

It was the only place I could find fertility plus for sale, and besides I'd already forked out £29 for a supply which I haven't received. So that was that idea - now I really am starting to think it just isn't meant to be.

Babymad4num3 · 11/08/2006 15:09

Two Very good kids

But want three very good kids

pendulum · 11/08/2006 14:29

Some of the girls on here use grapefruit juice to thin cervical mucus and special sperm-friendly lubricants (pre-seed) but I haven't done any of that yet. Only on month 2 though so shall probably be trying everything over the next few months!

One of the reasons I started temping is that apparently if you go to doc with fertility prob the first thing they tell you is to go away & do 3 months' charts. So I thought I might as well do them in case I am still having no joy later this year.

BTW how do you manage to lie in until 8 with 2 kids?

Babymad4num3 · 11/08/2006 14:03

Thanks pendulum you've been very helpful, i've been setting my alarm for the same time every morning for taking temp. I've only started doing it this week but needed more info i dont know nothing about any of this.
I've been doing is lots off BDing and ov-test's, but i want to try something else as i've not got anywhere in the last 13mths.

Is there anything else i should be doing?

coggy · 11/08/2006 13:56

LOL SOL!!!
wannaBe...how nice to have an excuse for eating yummy things!!

If AF comes later I will find it really hard not to have a glass of wine or three....that's how I usually console myself!!!!

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2006 13:50

Peeing on sticks is actually listed as one of my hobbies on my CV!!!!

wannaBe1974 · 11/08/2006 13:49

coggy im not doing to bad, went shopping this morning and resisted the urge to go into boots and buy a test - keep telling myself that it's the diet/exercise making my periods much lighter and that if I keep all that up I'll just spot lightly for a couple of days rather than heavy period, might test over the weekend if no proper sign but if bfn then will resign myself.

Have ILs coming at weekend - imagine my joy. And after I've been sooo good on my diet have too cook up chocolate mousse/carrot cate... I shall try to not let it all go out the window lol.

pendulum · 11/08/2006 13:44

Hi Babymad, I am coming to thed of my first month of temps and have read an awful lot about it in the last few weeks!

It doesn't matter if you go back to sleep as long you take the temp at the same time and after at least 3 consecutive hours sleep.

Increments of 0.1 degree C in your thermometer is accurate enough, mine goes to hundredths but I round up or down.

As for variations in the time, as MrsMac says you can adjust the temp for this (I think its +0.1 perhalf hour late, -0.1 per half hour early). But if possible I would recommend being strict and setting your alarm to do it at the same time every day. I have been a bit sloppy this month (maximum 1 hour late a few mornings) and ended up with a confusing chart that doesn't tell me whether or not I ovulated. It's quite frustrating as don't feel I have any particulalry valuable data so I will be much more scientific next month.

HTH

coggy · 11/08/2006 13:38

Makes you feel better to wee on something sometimes tho doesn't it??!!!

Sexonlegs · 11/08/2006 13:34

Oh Wannabe, your post brought tears to my eyes - beautifully written.
So Mrs McJnr, not long until you test eh! Fingers crossed for you.
Coggy, still staying with parents - now into week 3! Could be here a lot longer!!
Had a panic today thinking that I was ov'ing as had ov pains, but peed on a stick and nothing. I say I paniced (sp?), in that dh is away all weekend so no chance of any action. Also ov sticks did actually say I was oving last weekend . What a bloody waste of a wee stick!
Hope everyone is ok. See ya later!

Babymad4num3 · 11/08/2006 13:06

My dig-thom go's up in 10's dose it matter? also i wake up at 8am take temp, sometimes i go back to sleep is this okay?

coggy · 11/08/2006 12:52

Any news from you today?
How are you feeling?

coggy · 11/08/2006 12:51

wannaBe...you made me cry....thank you.

MrsMc...yes...knickers are fitting better...although they are coming up and down a lot today as I keep checking!!
Got bad AF cramps this morning so we'll see.....

MrsMcJnr · 11/08/2006 12:13

Sounds like it to me BabyMad it is meant to be the very first thing you do but it is ok to sleep in sometimes as long as you take account of that in the figs (for example, the software recalculates your temp if it is 30 mins before or after your normally time by dropping it .5 if you are early or .5 up if you are late). Hope that helps!
