thanks mrsmcjnr. why does the human body have to be so complicated i used to dread my af coming an now i cant wait for one!

Tili · 08/08/2006 12:07

does that sound stupid? or selfish?

Tili · 08/08/2006 12:06

wannabe my dd will be 4 at the end of sept. me and dh didnt want this big of an age gap either but we wanted to wait until we were secure enough financially to afford another one.to be honest we still arent exactly were we want to be but we can make it work.
I gave up my job to raise my dd and dream of having a career 1 day so we have decided to go for baby number 2 now I know that may sound a bit silly but im nearly 27 so i want to have a secure future and need to get out there. but i need my kids!

MrsMcJnr · 08/08/2006 12:03

Good morning ladies, throat is a bit better today but I am still totally choked. I think it is a really slim chance that I could be pregnant but I have not taken any remedies just in case. Also, because I was feeling lousy, I had no wine for the first time in ages last night and I see this evening going the same way. Terrible I know.

Feeling the pressure from family at the mo, even though we told everyone we know that we were not going to TTC until next year because we couldn?t afford to, to give us some breathing space, people keep dropping hints all the time. We have two cars, a two seater and a normal car and we?ve decided to sell the two seater to release some cash that we really need but you can just imagine what that is being interpreted as!

Wannabe ? feeling for you. I have 2 sisters, one is 2 years younger and the other 9 years younger and we get on really well but I appreciate the issues for you are more than the age gap and that sanity comes into it too.

Natty ? strange thing to say on a Positive thread but I hope AF arrives soon so you can get started on the clomid.

Coggy ? what a great DH you have, mine would point blank refuse to eat a whole meal without any meat! Sounds like things could be looking good for you too. I think I might have to try that preseed stuff next month.

SOL ? Another great DH, mine squirms when I even mention the word ?cycle?.

Wantababynow ? Sorry to hear you are down, hope letting it all out helps. We are all here to listen. I don?t know why we ever grew up to complain that things aren?t fair, there is so much out there that is really so unfair isn?t there? Again, seems an odd thing to say on a Positive thread but I hope AF arrives soon so you can get started on the clomid.

Tili ? I read that blood in your discharge can happen when you ovulate. I think my body is still a bit shell shocked from the pill too. Only been off since the end of June. I have been charting my temps etc and although the temps seem to be ?normal? I did not have the EWCM I was looking for, it never changed from the creamy stuff, sorry TMI. Fingers crossed and good luck just in case.

Aprilmeadow ? I know exactly how you feel.

Hope the move goes well Bellie and the stress does not mess with your cycle.

Sounding good DD1, fingers crossed!

Hello Angsthase and everyone else.

DH was out last night and I watched some Daddy Boot Camp programme on Living. It was hilarious, set in the US with these guys wanting to know the ins and outs of everything. One thing that made me laugh was when the midwife was telling the men that when their women ovulate they will be desperate for sex and the bonus for the men is that the women won?t even be interested in foreplay!

Sexonlegs · 08/08/2006 11:58

Coggy, lol re your BBB! My dh is a bit like that. He is so grateful for anything I cook him! Just as well!!
Angsthase, will bd for you as requested! Although dh is away tonight himself, so no action for me. Quite looking forward to going to bed with a good book!

Angsthase · 08/08/2006 11:48

Wannabe - sorry you're pee'd off. AF's just suck don't they. But re the age gap thing, there's 6 & 8 years between me and sisters and we're all really close, so no reason to stop if the age gap is your only reason.

Wantab - it's always crap when you're confronted with people who just take it all for granted and don't give a sh*t what they do to their bodies while they're pg. I have a friend who has smoked, drunk and eaten all the crap stuff all the way through her pg , and it all just seems so unfair. Our day WILL come.

SOL - Can you BD once or twice for me too

Natty1806 · 08/08/2006 11:12

Not sure what to say Wannabe sorry AF arrived but not sure what to say about giving up. hugs x

coggy · 08/08/2006 10:50

for you wannaBe.....you will move onto Sept thread though won't you?
I'll probably see you there on Thursday!!!

Wanta....it's good to come on here and have a moan...can't easily do it anywhere else and we have all been in that position once or twice (or many more times actually) don't worry about winging...I reckon it's good for you!!

SOL...go girl with your Bding - do try to keep up with your fantastically keen DH!!!
My bbb was horrible although my dh said he really enjoyed it!! (How sweet he is!!)
It was not just a bbb...it was a diet recipe too...shan't bother with that again and I'll take my vege family down the local instead!!!!!

Sexonlegs · 08/08/2006 10:39

Oh Wannabe, I am so sorry to hear af arrived. You sound so down. I don't know what to say other than sending you lots of hugs. xx

wannaBe1974 · 08/08/2006 10:32

hiya all

Wantababy so sorry to hear you're feeling down. But the script for chlomid is a step in the right direction now, your baby will happen, stay positive

Well I'm departing from this thread now because my af arrived this morning. Not surprising really given dh's results earlier last week, I'm no longer surprised or even disappointed when af arrives, because I expect it to happen now. So that's 16 months of trying now - I'm running out of time now really as more than a 5 year gap is just too much imo and as ds will be 4 in November that doesn't give me much more time to fall pregnant. I think I have to set myself that goal for stopping ttc, or I'll never give up and it will all become too much really. I know deep down I can't have another one, I just can't let it go somehow.

Sexonlegs · 08/08/2006 10:29

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.
CD18 today. Usually ov CD19/20, but according to the opk ov'd early this month which I guess is no bad thing. Dh is soooo keen to bd - he keeps saying "we must, you are ov'ing!!" and I'm like " do we have to!". But we did - again - at my parents house. It is quite exciting I have to say!!
How was your butter bean bake Coggy - sounds really nice.
DD1, any news from you today?
Wantababynow, sorry to hear you are a bit hacked off at the mo - it is frustrating isn't it when everyone if getting pg all around!
Positive thoughts to everyone.
xx

Natty1806 · 08/08/2006 10:09

Oh sweetie - let it all out, i can understand totally how you feel, my docs did say though if i have not had a period after 42 days they will give me something to bring a bleed on so i can start clomid, not sure whether to lie or not when i go in next week and say i am on CD28 when i will only be on CD21. I know you have to do a preg test just incase as they can't give it to you otherwise. So might buy some cheap ones of ebay this week so time.

Just think though, once you do come on you can start clomid and fingers crossed you will become a mummy and a good one at that so take a few deep breaths and think positive thoughts.

P.S Always here if you need a whinge. x

WantAbabyNOW · 08/08/2006 09:55

I will be quiet now... I promise!

Breathe in.......... breathe out..........

WantAbabyNOW · 08/08/2006 09:54

And does not know who father is.

WantAbabyNOW · 08/08/2006 09:54

And another 2 kids in my class announced they are expecting a brother or sister today too. That is now a total of 4 expected siblings in my class only.

Also have to attend baby shower this weekend for friend of family. Not feeling like attending a party for someone who is a bit of a drug addict and part time lesbian who had no plans for this child at all and can not even look after herself.

We are all happy campers here tonight .......not

WantAbabyNOW · 08/08/2006 09:51

I meant me.. whinge...lol

WantAbabyNOW · 08/08/2006 09:50

Hi everyone,

Well Natty you and I are in the same boat I think. Will be waiting for af to grace me with her presence and now have script for clomid. Have a very losw dose though- I think its 25mg. Also given maxoline (sounds like a really bad name for a girl) to stop vomiting and told to take full 500mg tablet of metformin.

Am planning on starting that on the weekend as I do not fancy throwing up in class.

So annoyed cause no AF but really hoping that pains from the other day and possible ov will result in a munchkin. Whilst clinic was not overly hopeful I did see a different doctor today and she was not a sympathetic. Also had a student doctor there which was odd. Think will ask for other doc next time.

Lower abdomen is still a bit tender and had to sleep in foetal (is that how you spell it) position last night as felt sore. Temp has also dropped from 36.8, 36.75 etc down to 36.5 today so I think maybe ov.

Told not to bother checking microscope to look for ov or anything. Will have 21 day bloods done if af shows up.

On day 73 too.

Anyway, not really sure what to make of all this and feel incredibly stupid for some reason.

Thanks for listening to be whinge everyone

Tili · 08/08/2006 09:42

hi ladies.
Havent posted for a bit.Is everything ok with you all today?
my hopes of a positive august have completely gone. I still havent had af and im now 5 days late but tested this morning and its a bfn.It looks like coming off the pill has completely knocked me all out of whack! I wondered is it possible that the slight bleeding in my discharge that i had earlier was my af? or can you only count it as af when its in full flow so to speak?

Natty1806 · 08/08/2006 09:10

Don't worry it is hard keeping up with everyone's progress etc.

Yeah think it is my body trying to ovulate but doesn't manage it. x

coggy · 08/08/2006 08:20

Oh sorry Natty....I forgot.
Do you not ov at all?

Some people have had low blood results which indicated no ov and then fell pg anyway!!

The clomid'll sort that out.

Maybe the pains are your body trying to do it?

Natty1806 · 08/08/2006 07:36

Hi coggy i don't ovulate at the moment so no idea what these cramps are. Oh well should start clomid when AF arrives so think i am the only one wishing she would arrive early. LOL
