How much should it go up by if you have ovulated?

Also is the coverline drawn above the last 6 temps.

Am on CD10 today.

the dip usally occurs on the day of ovulation its the result of high levels of estronen pushing your temp down, i thought you would understand this better, so lets hope you get your rise tomorrow, and i want to know in the morning too

trace2 · 08/08/2006 16:23

put your temps up ill have a look

trace2 · 08/08/2006 16:21

pendulum lol i wish?

some ladys get dips befor a rise, so again try not to worry yet, if youve had any stress to this can delay ovulation too but would make you cycle longer, even thought you had cm, it still can be delayed, but lets see what tomorrow brings, the dip just might be ovulation.

pendulum · 08/08/2006 16:05

Thanks v much Trace (have you thought of setting yourself up in business as a consultant? )

My temp actually dipped by 0.4 Celsius this morning! As I said there is quite a bit of movement up & down but the majority of temps have been around the 36.2 mark, however this morning it was 35.8. I thought that dips were evidence of incorrect temp taking but have done exactly the same each morning and took it twice this morning to check.Still quite a bit of CM too (sorry if TMI....)

Weird, huh? Maybe it will all become clearer after a few months of charting- but not too many I hope!

How are you getting on?

trace2 · 08/08/2006 08:29

pendulum yes, temping and checking cm works together, but like i said earlier, some have an
anovulaory cycle , but there is still time to get a temp rise as its after ovulation you get this. you usally get cm a few days befoe a temp rise, that way you know to bding ! and as its your first month of temping you still got time to learn how your body works,
hope this helped did your temp rise this monrning?

pendulum · 07/08/2006 20:50

Hi there, can I add a question?

This is my first month temping and the temps aeem a bit random- have not yet observed a shift and am on CD19 (of 33-ish). But I have also been observing CM and cervical position and according to those, I would have expected to see the shift eitehr over the last few days or-at a push- tomorrow.

Question is- if your BBT says no ovulatory shift, but your CM etc follow the correct pattern, which is the better indicator of ovulation having occurred or not?

Thanks in advance!

Natty1806 · 04/08/2006 21:10

Good thinking. Yeah think i will ring next week, well off to watch bb now -even though i have missed most of it.

thanks for all you help on this, sure i will be asking more questions in the future.

i would ring gp on moday for the clomid, my gygny gave me one months them phoned gp for repeat,

i would carry on teming then you will see a diffrence when on clomid, yes thay can give you some thing to make af, if after 35 days you not got af tell gp its 42 then he will give you it.

Natty1806 · 04/08/2006 20:57

Thanks Trace, they said they are going to give me clomid and gave me the information of when to take it etc but no clomid prescription, they mention writting a letter, think this was going to my gp. Who gave you your clomid? Am going to see gp hopefully nect monday and see what he says, because the nurse did say if i went over 42 day they will give me something to start a period so that i can get started on clomid.

Should i continue to temp or wait until i start clomid?

OP posts:
trace2 · 04/08/2006 20:49

natty this was very much like mine i did it for months because i thought i was wrong too, i had about 7 months of this only diffrance is i was 24 days every monbth! this is what i went to gp with its called anovulaory cycle , but you could still be ovulating it could be you are one a small percenage of women that dont show a thermal shift, so you need to have bloods and an iltrsound to see if you have progesterone, or an hormal imbalace. my blood said i was not ovulating so i took (waiting to see gygny then) agnus catus up to ovulation, and after two months got a rise in my temp was very excited! then when i went to gygny he gave me clomid and had a rise since. carnt really tell this month as you only on day 10, ( but remeber you could still ovulate. i hope yopu understood all that if not just ask, what happened when you went to fertilty clinc?

Thanks Trace. Much appreciated.

trace2 · 04/08/2006 15:47

its nothing dont worry looks like you ovulated on day 17, its if it goes back down to 35.9 your cover line, you have had a three day rise now so i would say you have ovulated it could even go to 36.0 and its still above dont worry, it looks good

MrsMcJnr · 04/08/2006 15:42

Thanks Trace, this is my first chart and it is confusing! Especially as I was on the pill for 18 years and do not know my body at all well.

have you had sex last night after ovulation it can cause a dip, nothing to worry about its just your cervis is lower

trace2 · 04/08/2006 15:35

dont want to get you excited but it could be implation, put them down like this so i can check

day 1 35.7
day 2 35,8 and so on and we can work out how many days after dpo you are.

MrsMcJnr · 04/08/2006 15:28

Trace, can I be a cheeky hijacker and take advantage of your goodwill and knowledge again, hope that is ok!

I thought my temp today would be close to yesterdays if I have OV i.e @ 36.4 but it is back down to 36.1 so my chart reads 35.9 for 4 days then 35.7, 35.8 then up to 36.1 above my cover line then 36.4 then down to 36.1 - looks odd to dip like that, does that seem ok to you?

It's just niggling me as to why I did not have any EWCM if I have ovulated.

Thanks so much!

trace2 · 04/08/2006 15:26

well if free for a time, gives you time to work your chartd out, then i print mine off now do it that way but when i used it it help you if you get a rise, or explains if you have a drink and things,. well give me last months temps,,

Natty1806 · 04/08/2006 15:23

No, don't use fertility friend - should i?

On CD10 today

OP posts:
trace2 · 04/08/2006 15:14

do you use fretily friend?

trace2 · 04/08/2006 15:14

until you understand how they work takes about two months its hard to understand.

how long as this cycle been this month? i usally only do mine fron day 8 now because af can send them wappy,

Natty1806 · 04/08/2006 15:11

Will just stick to the temping then, did do it last month but they were all over the place, which suggests what i already know - that i don't ovualte.

Shall i post them as well or will the first few of this cycle be enough?

OP posts:
trace2 · 04/08/2006 15:09

natty i wouldnt use if your cycles are long could be misleading, go for temp and cervical fluid, and maybe observing your cervix

Natty1806 · 04/08/2006 15:06

Also what are the best ones to use?
