Hi, I'm guessing I'm now in the 2WW as had positive OPK yesterday and the day before. Is there anybody that has their BFP due around the 20th and that has just started their 2WW.

Would be great to talk to stop ourselves going bonkers! What have you done this month to ttc? Anything different?

I have used OPKs and have followed the smep plan. Also drinking pineapple juice which apparently makes you produce more Ewcm and I'm taking pregnacare.

I'm due the 20th too op! First positive opk was Thursday and had another yesterday. We have had a lot of sex, but for some reason this cycle I'm not hopeful, have a feeling I won't be pregnant for a long time.
A few of you I was on the jan bus with but I name changed. So this is cycle 2 and last cycle I had a week of faint pos to then bleed. Our cycles are synced I think squeaky lol. X

impatienceisavirtue · 08/02/2014 12:35

Drewswife we married last year too, dp is 13 years older and not cancer cells but I had abnormal smears and biopsies last year too, and even that worries me as to what effect it had! The docs are all adamant the man's age is irrelevant though.

It's awful isn't it - you work really hard to not get your hopes up each month and try and tell yourself you're ignoring any "symptoms" but every month when af comes it's the same story - you realise you'd been kidding yourself and you totally were conviced this was the month :(

DrewsWife · 08/02/2014 11:17

We got married last year. My Dd is 18 nearly and I had cancer cells removed 2 years ago. So I am a little reluctant to get my hopes up. Hubby is also 11 years older and has no children. He is panicking that he is a Jaffa Grin.

I'm just not hopeful. Today my boobs are itchy. Not sore. My nausea hit again last night. But I'm a night shift worker so that could be right.

I think I'm just worried about getting my hopes up Wink

impatienceisavirtue · 08/02/2014 10:49

Drewswife implantation is between 6-12 dpo and it should show up a few days after that happens, 9doo I think is average but everyone is different. I usually try and wait until 3 days before I'm due on with first responses but last month I convinced myself six days before was fibe as the box said so. Every symptom going, convinced myself it was negative as just too early to test... And then AF came three days early. Gutted and got really upset as my one hope before then had been that at least my periods were regular ha.

Ticking along ok this month so far - back to using the opks I'd sworn off ha. OVed bang on dates. Had been doing SMEP but have just had at it every day since AF finished. Going to test on 19th which incidentally as well as being three days before AF due is also the date DH is having his, er, sample tested!

I really thought it would happen straight away, which is silly. I have 3dc and dh has 2dc from previous marriage, this will be our first (and last ha ha) if it happens.

DrewsWife · 08/02/2014 09:52

I don't know. When should I test? Oh I find this all rather confusing.

tillyann2013 · 08/02/2014 08:20

Can I join too please? Af due 19th feb. Been using Cbfm and 1st peak was 3rd feb x

Squeakybeaky · 08/02/2014 07:13

Of course you can join! The more the merrier! I really hope all your symptoms will be true this month impatience!

Drewswife welcome to you too. When are you hoping to hold out to until you start testing?

DrewsWife · 08/02/2014 01:59

Can I join? I'm due 18th. Blush 6dpo I think. Hit a wall of nausea yesterday. I could just be tired. Been spotting for a couple of nights. This is 3rd month for me

I already have an 18 year old.

impatienceisavirtue · 08/02/2014 01:25

And I obsessively symptom spot every month :(

impatienceisavirtue · 08/02/2014 01:24

AF due 22nd here - so am still in fertility window and I'm already counting down days until testing... Now in about month 8 of trying I think

Squeakybeaky · 07/02/2014 21:51

Wish I could stop symptom spotting too. I'm only 3dpo today and I have sore boobs which is very weird. Mustn't think about it, lah lah lah

maeanne · 07/02/2014 12:51

Thanks Ember Smile Fingers crossed for you too!

I've been crampy too Bobo - quite pinchy cramps which is different to the usual dull ache. Don't know if that is good, bad or nothing at all! 4dpo today so still too early for implantation... Gah! Wish I could stop thinking about it!

EmberElftree · 07/02/2014 12:00

I know I've turned into a total nutter - must not symptom spot!! Thanks Squeeky and to you too x

Squeakybeaky · 07/02/2014 11:29

I am trying not to symptom spot this month and just go with it. I'm on 3dpo today so feel it would be impossible to feel anything yet anyway :) welcome emberelftree good luck to you! X

EmberElftree · 07/02/2014 11:21

Hi Squeeky & all also on my 2ww!

Positive OPK on Tues. and temp spike of 0.6c this am so let's hope it's a sticky one and temps remain high.

Feel a bit sick but also have a cold and probs reading too much into the nausea so just have to wait...

Fab weight loss Meanne congrats Grin fingers crossed for everyone x

Bobo13 · 07/02/2014 08:49

Oh I promised myself I wouldn't do anymore symptom spotting, I'd just get on with things. At DPO 4 I swear I feel like AF is about to start, feels like I'm having really mild cramps Confused. It's horrible as I know it's most likely all in my head! Anyone else getting this??
I'm sure my quest to not symptom spot will not have been aided by me spending last night deciding which prams I'd like to look at!! Lol

maeanne · 06/02/2014 15:41

Definitely Bobo! Wink

Bobo13 · 06/02/2014 14:00

I have to socialise quite a lot with work, so it's been quite difficult saying I won't drink, but since Christmas I've been making a conscious effort to cut back.

I wouldn't say I'm making too many differences to diet, as I eat fairly healthy anyway.

That's amazing weight loss...well done you!

I think the trick with SMEP will be to try and not have everything become too clinical......could be difficult! Ha ha!!

maeanne · 06/02/2014 09:34

Bobo, I don't drink much anyway (think I've had about two glasses of wine since Christmas) so no change there.

I am trying to eat sensibly but no major changes. I lost over 4st on slimming world 3 years ago though which I have (mostly!) kept off. In an ideal world I'd like to lose another stone before I get pregnant... but I want a baby more!!

What about you?

I'm tempted to try SMEP next cycle too. Not sure DH will keep up though!

Bobo13 · 06/02/2014 08:17

Oh, I try to talk myself out of feeling overly positive every month, but this month I'm fairly hopeful. Fingers crossed OPK's will do the trick, although if they don't I think I'll be doing SMEP religiously next month!!
Are any of you girls trying to change your diet or watch what you're drinking whilst TTC??

maeanne · 05/02/2014 21:09

Yep, identical cycles!

I don't know if I can stand the excitement. The next two weeks will drag so much.

I'm not feeling particularly hopeful though if I'm honest. Not sure we have done enough.

Bobo13 · 05/02/2014 20:59

Hopefully this 2ww will go quickly!! And end in bfp's for all of us! (Hi maeanne Smile)

Squeakybeaky · 05/02/2014 20:49

Hi maeanne. I think we are very similar in our cycle this month. I got my positive on Sunday too and think I ovulated yesterday too. Guess we are 2dpo tomorrow then, yay

OP posts:
maeanne · 05/02/2014 19:19

Hi! I just started the 2ww too. BFP hopefully due on the 19th. Used opks for the first time this month and got my first positive on Sunday evening. Think I ovulated yesterday.

Nice to have people to share the agonising wait! (Hi Bobo!)

Thisistheyear2014 · 05/02/2014 14:39

Hi ladies hope you don't mind if I join!

I hoping for a bfp on valentines day..I have been using opk and also ladytimer app which is brilliant! We have been trying for a around 3 months but only really just worked out when I'm ovulating and when Af is due, plus OH was very ill for the first month so don't really count that! The last few months I have been bding after getting positive OPk but this month we have done it the day before, day of and day after, hopefully this will be our month! Is this everyone's first ttc? X
