BFPs for the month of love... The February bus is on the way!

Thanks writer. No idea about waiting time as didn't think to ask as was too shocked by it all. Others have suggested its months as opposed to weeks so we're not expecting anything soon. But judging by the lack of sleep I got last night I hope it's not too long to wait or I'm going to struggle. DH is sad but very much has the attitude that we've just got to wait and see what the fertility experts say and keep trying in the meantime. Know that's right and me sobbing isn't going to help matters, but it all just feels so unfair.

Oh onelife - sorry to hear about your results. How long have you got to wait for your appointment at the clinic and how has your husband taken the news?? I really hope it is a problem that can be addressed x x

Hi all,

No phone call made I'm afraid, was too gutted by gp results received yst. We've been told my dh's sperm test has shown an issue. Count and motility all fine which is good, but the morphology (shape of sperm) not good. It has a fancy horrid sounding name 'teratozoospermia'. GP not overly helpful as couldn't tell us much more but we've been referred to a fertility clinic so got to wait and see.
Feel gutted tbh, suppose it explains why we're on cycle 9 but I'm so not ready to even think about ICSI and ivf etc. Completely fed up and feeling very hard done to at the mo. Know I just need to buck up and get on with it and others have it harder, but just feel like want to scream at the world

Been having some mild stomach pains for about 4 days now and to start with thought it might be ovulation but would that go on for this long? It's almost like a really dull ache but also feels really tight and strange at times? Hard to describe. I've never had ovulation pain before but then I've never looked out for it until ttc! I've been putting the pain down to stress but I'm a little worried. Anyone else have ovulation pain for this long or know what this might be?

Well five minutes after peeing on expensive digi and getting 'not pregnant' (horrible) AF showed up - nice. So I'm out.

Love it defo referring to them as fish sticks from now on. Can't really see any diff from opk and netdoctor says fsh can only be detected through a blood test so I think it may be an eBay scam...damn those prayin on vulnerable nutters women willing to poas whatever it detects!

Rhi I googled and it showed results for fish sticks! Lol.

Just been looking for some ic opk's on eBay and some of them come with FSH sticks too, what are these? Anyone used them?

Missed your post angelicjen - 4 announcements is just rotten, I know how you feel.... it's like extreme disappointment coupled with feeling like a bad person for not being exclusively 100% delighted by your own friends' happiness... or that's how I feel anyway. Just had 2 friends have babies so facebook is heaving with cute baby photos and although I'm really happy for them I can't help feeling disappointed every time I see one.

Housework for me too, if I'd started it instead of coming on mn I'd have been done by now. [hmmm]

I was fine right up until the woman said to me "If you had children, you'd understand" and I wanted to throttle her. Or shout at her along the lines of "if I had children I wouldn't bloody well abuse them" or something. But I didn't, I held it together until we were all finished and then went and cried in the loos. She didn't mean to be hurtful obviously, it was just bad timing.

Yesterday was crap but today is looking a lot better, resigned to being on the March bus. Is anybody else doing IUI? It just seems astonishing that a clinic can take Cream of Sperm, direct it straight into your uterus at the very moment that you ovulate, and I still can't seem to catch one!

Probably 11dpo today and bfn. Its getting close now :(

and never ever ever feel like its your fault or you've let you OH and family down. its not your fault and your sticky bean/ beautiful and healthy baby is on its way. just take each day as it comes. x

jessica - I can't be 100% sure as I wasn't tracking my ovulation but I reckon about 14/15dpo.

when is af actually due? Probably worth waiting till that day as your more likely to get an accurate result that day

Morning! Am 16dpo, cd31 & I'm pretty sure I ovulated - lots of ewcm & a positive opk. Had one test left - a clear blue digi which I did this morning & it was 'not pregnant'.
Am I wrong to still hope I might be PG? It would definitely show by now wouldn't it?
I'm sure you've all been there, but I had to hide myself away from OH this morning for a little sob - feeling pretty sad & now I have to work all weekend on top of the 60 hour week I've ALREADY done. How am I ever going to get pregnant?

I forgot to poas!!!! Will have to save it up for later or wait till tomorrow. Don't think it's going to be our month and have been busy checking out reflexologists in this area. Found one that specialises in fertility so I'm going to give her a call later

My first 'BFP' was with an OPK.

The positive result has to be a strong one though - as strong a line, or stronger than the control line.

I'd only pee'd on an OPK for a laugh and got very confused when a positive result came up. I posted on MN, asking why I was apparently ovulating even though my period was due (thinking my cycles were messed up or something) and that's when I was told OPK can detect pregnancy as the sticks can't differentiate between the ovulation hormone and the pregnancy hormone: i.e if either hormone is present in the urine then a positive result will appear.

I was gobsmacked and ran straight to my local corner shop to buy some HPTs (3 different brands)!! I pee'd on them all when I got back home and got BFPs with all of them
