Kate Yes! ME! I have just got my smiley 6 days later than usual! Hang on in there!

Thanks Kitty! I'm so relieved. Sounds like you have been busy! Wink Looking forward to our poas date!

KittyVonCatsington · 09/02/2014 13:11

Not just you katecupoftea, I didn't get a positive OPK result at all last month. Bloody things. It is highly unlikelyyou are not if you are getting AF, I should think. Just keep DTD and FX!

KittyVonCatsington · 09/02/2014 13:10

Lots of news to catch up on!

missmrsmummy - so pleased for you - very annoying when you have to wait - you'll be closer to me POAS now so will wait with you Smile

SleepingStarsMommy - As you have ovulated, I wouldn't try reflexology this cycle as it is unwise to (as told to me by my Reflexologist last week) However, if you try it next month (I hope you don't have to!) then it only hurt a little for me when she pressed on my ankles as I'm a skinny so and so and it's just bone there but that was only split second and the rest of the hour was lovely - got very tingly sensations over my whole body at times.
Some also swear by Acupuncture but I tried it for a slipped disc a few years back and a couple of the needles didn't go in properly and needless to say, I bloody well felt them!

Onelife and Regina - it is heartbreaking to read both of your news and we will try and give you all the virtual support that we can Thanks

I am officially exhausted from DTD as I am going on the advice of my sister who said I should try DTD every day from CD9 to CD20 (based on my cycle) so have kept this up (thanks hubby!) and I'm sure I have ovulated as I got pains again. However, here's a random question for you lovely ladies;
Can you ovulate from the same ovary two months in a row?

I had pains on my left side this month and last month... Positive OPK result backs up I ovulated or at least had an LH surge. Confused

katecupoftea · 09/02/2014 13:04

Does anyone else panic that they're not ovulating? No? Just me then...

SnowBells · 09/02/2014 12:19

barmy

Will try coaching DH to DTD tonight.

Poor DH - seems to be taking a bit of a toll on him, especially since work has been very stressful recently.

missmrsmummy · 09/02/2014 12:03

Sorry spinning Sad

Thanks for asking, barmy. Very up and down - felt good Fri, terrible yest and slept really badly last night, not feeling too bad now. Think I've got a long way to go unfortunately. Spending time with family and friends and of course DH so I am relaxing Smile

spinningirl10 · 09/02/2014 11:53

I remembered to poas this morning and got a bfn......I actually used 2 sticks, an ic and a frer and there was not even a hint of a line! I won't test again....af will be here tomorrow or Tuesday. Will join March bus after hols and will hopefully be in a more positive mood!!

barmybunting · 09/02/2014 11:34

That's brilliant missmrs! How have you been feeling for the last few days? I hope you've had a chance to relax and take this easy.

snow unfortunately, the cbfm does show a low on day 20 irrelevant of previous pattern. It is really annoying! How long have you been using it? I gave up with it after two cycles due to that problem and irregular af, just sticking with the smiley opk options so I can decide when I want to test, not the silly machine!

It's probably worth dtd today/tomorrow to be on the safe side.

missmrsmummy · 09/02/2014 10:56

Oh that is so annoying snow. Afraid I don't know anything about cbfm as I've been using cb digi

SnowBells · 09/02/2014 10:53

I've just read that the CBFM automatically gives you a low on the 20th day of testing.

That's stupid. Why would it ask for a test stick if it will show "low" anyway?!?!

missmrsmummy · 09/02/2014 10:40

Oops!
Thanks English

On last 2 cycles AF has been 10 days after ov so I'm updating my stats:

MissMrsMummy, TTC#1, cycle 3, BFP due 18th Feb.

Sorry to my poas buddies for 12th! That will now be way too early for me!

missmrsmummy · 09/02/2014 10:37

Tthanks

SnowBells · 09/02/2014 10:28

Aaaaaargh!!!

CBFM showed highs from CD 9 to CD 24. It's now CD 25 and it is now back on Low. NO PEAK.

Had on-and-off cramping since around Wednesday. Might have been ovulation pain.

But Wednesday was also the last time we DTD, as DH's work has been quite stressful over the last 2 weeks. Darn it.

Does anyone know what the CBFM monitor detects to go from high to low???

EnglishGirlAbroad · 09/02/2014 10:19

Yay MissMrs!! AF should be delayed. Your luteal phase doesn't generally change, so if ov is late, AF will be too. Smile

missmrsmummy · 09/02/2014 10:12

I have finally got my smiley face! CD21! Ov must've been delayed due to stress.

I wasn't going to waste another test this morning with it being so late in my cycle but I checked my cervix first and it was nowhere to be found! DH is out but I've texted him a pic of the smiley so hopefully he will pounce when he gets back!

I think that cervix checking is actually a really good method of knowing when you will ov, or at least it can help you know when to use test sticks to check.

I have no idea when AF is due now... Was supposed to be the 12th Feb but I'm only just ov'ing now. Will this mean AF will be delayed too? Otherwise I'll have the shortest 2ww ever!

Sleepingstarsmommy · 09/02/2014 10:02

Morning ladies. Haven't had chance to post over the last few days.

Congrats to those with BFPs.

Onelife and Regina so sorry about your news.

Well think I ov yesterday so now in the 2ww and wondering how long I'll be able to resist POAS and spotting imaginary symptoms.

Was thinking of trying some reflexology but have instead been talked into trying some acupuncture instead. First session next Thursday. Has anyone else tried it? Does it hurt??

spinningirl10 · 09/02/2014 08:17

Oh Onelife I'm really sorry to hear that. I would phone doc on Monday and ask how long appointment will be. My sister was referred to a fertility specialist on Dec 30th and just had her first appointment last week so didn't wait long at all. I guess it depends in location though. Big hugs to you Thanks

Treaclepie19 · 08/02/2014 21:04

Sorry to hear that onelife :(

Snuggle up with DH and if you need to talk we're always here to listen :)

onelifeonechance · 08/02/2014 20:52

Thanks sazzle x It helps to hear of success stories, gives us something to hold on to. Virtual hug gratefully accepted Smile

Thanks too pink and good luck with your 2ww

Pinkfairy88 · 08/02/2014 20:24

I'm sorry to hear that onelife :( fingers crossed for you that the fertility clinic can help you and dh.

Sazzle I'm not using opks or temping as we are trying to take a relaxed approach to start with, although it's not proving to be very relaxing at the moment :/ I was just going on the fact my last few cycles have been between 28-33 days so dtd every other day if we can in hope that we get lucky! Thought the pain may have been ovulation on first day of feeling it but not so sure anymore! I think your right though, since ttc I've been noticing every little niggle or twinge!!! I'm going to be driving poor dh crazy over the next 2 weeks!

sazzlehopes · 08/02/2014 19:33

Oh onelife I'm so sorry to hear that. Like others have said always good to know a reason, that can potentially be delt with. I was in the other thread for a more general bfp for 2014 and someone on there posted that they got their bfp after over a year of ttc with their partner having awful sperm. In one test they collected just 47 single swimmers when I think most samples start with millions and yet they did fall pregnant. I know this is so much easier for me to say, I have no idea really what you are going through but so glad you seem able to support each other.
Maybe ring Monday and check in that waiting time. Keep us posted. Sending you huge virtual hugs xxxx

sazzlehopes · 08/02/2014 19:27

Pink are you testing with opks or temping? So do you know if you have ov yet? Some women do have ov pain lasting longer than a day. I sometimes think once you start really ttc you feel EVERYTHING!!!

onelifeonechance · 08/02/2014 18:55

Know you're right, least we know more what we're dealing with now. But just feel in limbo as we've been told minimal info by GP and getting everything from google which is never good. Just feel we've been left until the appointment, and no idea when that will be! Not sure how I feel about going private, think may wait and see and if it's looking like it's taking forever then may reconsider.

I know, I would far rather the issue was with me. It's not easy, but luckily DH is excellent at talking about things, would hate it if he was a 'bottler up' as I honestly wouldn't know what to say. He's been the one comforting me, feel rotten about that, but just finding it v hard. Know I'll pick myself up soon, but thanks for the kindness ladies, it really helps Thanks

Writerwannabe83 · 08/02/2014 18:46

Well at least you have a reason now as to why it a BFP happened for you yet and the wheels have been set in motion. At least with a diagnosis comes the chance to have treatment and action plans can be put in place - you are heading in the right direction now as opposed to wandering aimlessly and simply wondering 'why aren't I getting pregnant?'.

I hope your DH is ok - it must be very hard for men when the issue is with them. I think in society we generally tend to assume the problem lies with the woman so when it actually turns out to be the opposite I imagine it takes a while to sink in.

Is there any chance you could go Private to be seen quicker??

onelifeonechance · 08/02/2014 18:39

Thanks English, we will Smile
