one. After EC you should not be alone, boiling a kettle or doing anything like making dinner. Sorry but he's been an arse and you can tell him I said so.

vallinnapod · 01/02/2014 11:45

Yay time xx

cwtching · 01/02/2014 10:13

Time this is amazing news, huge huge congratulations!

Bugs hope all goes okay today for the egg transfer

Pip look after yourself this weekend, you need spoiling.

One I'm with Bugs, your DH should be looking after you. Go on strike please. Get on that sofa and refuse to move. He's a big boy I'm sure he can make his own dinner (and yours), you have enough to cope with. I hope it's good news this morning re fertilisation and that you can speak to someone soon re the diabetes. It seems really rubbish that they are so uncontactable.

Bad this is exciting!!!!

Onelittlebugbear · 01/02/2014 09:39

I'm most cross about the state of the kitchen! Would it have killed him to put the plates in the dishwasher and the salt and pepper away? Really?!

Plus we will hopefully get the call from the embryologist this morning about fertilisation which I will now be taking on my own.
Strange considering he was the one that pushed us into ivf in the first place.

nobeer · 01/02/2014 09:11

Smile that's great news Time!

Onelittlebugbear · 01/02/2014 09:05

Grin time x x

Dh has buggered off to play golf leaving me with ds. He also has neglected to put last night's plates in the dishwasher or tidy the kitchen - I cooked last night but didn't have anything myself and went to bed. Felt bit drowsy after EC.
I'm really cross. Thank god for you lot else id drown I think.

time2deal · 01/02/2014 08:46

Thank you! Wow - what a morning. I've been up since 4, woke up needing to wee and knew I couldn't avoid testing forever.

I have a headache, backache and mild nausea, but feeling on top of the world! It's a long way from here to a baby, but it's good/amazing/unbelievable/fantastic to finally feel like I've passed the starting gate.

Pipbin · 01/02/2014 08:33

Hurrah for Time. That's wonderful news and given me such hope.

Bad sounds so exciting. When is OTD?

Reps. Thanks for asking. This weekend is going to be hard I think. I'm bleeding very heavily and I'll be at home with nothing to take my mind off it except the cat and writing reports!

One, that's hard on top of everything else. The team should have 24/7 access (at least by phone) shouldn't it? I hope it all evens out.

resipsa · 01/02/2014 08:02

Pip - how are you today?

Onelittlebugbear · 01/02/2014 08:00

Congratulations Time!

Bad I also think you'd get another darker line, ESP with fmu.

Afm I cannot get my blood sugar down. It's twice what it should be. It hasn't come down since I had the steroids yesterday. It could also be the progesterone but I've only had one so it seems more likely it is the steroid at the moment. Or both. I need to get hold of someone on my diabetes team but I've tried three times last week to no avail and they won't be in now until Monday.
God, this would be a million times easier without the diabetes. Still not easy of course but the too high / too low worry wouldn't be there.
Usually I take 18u of insulin a day. I had 33 yesterday and only ate half a piece of toast all day. Usually I'd be through the floor and incredibly low with that amount of insulin. Psychologically it's really hard to take that much insulin when usually it would cause me to be low.

starsandmoonandback · 01/02/2014 07:59

Bad, you are strong! Once I'd tested and got a feint line, I'd have to test each day til test day to make sure the line was getting darker!!!! I have everything crossed for you that by tomorrow it'll be a nice dark line Grin This thread is becoming a very bfp'ish one. Up bum, yes baby a go go!

starsandmoonandback · 01/02/2014 07:56

Time. Woohoo. You deserve this Bfp honey!! Congratulations xx

Badhairday76 · 01/02/2014 07:55

Hey Res - I'm on Q Pootle 5! Or I think that's what it's called.

I'm going to test again tomorrow, I think. You are right - am enjoying this feeling too much. I feel so much better that I know it won't be ectopic this time, whatever happens. I am much less swollen today which is great!

resipsa · 01/02/2014 07:38

Ha, Bad - I'm watching Peter Rabbit! I'd heard 5dp5dt is pretty reliable. Can you be arm twisted to test again? I wouldn't dare as I'd be loving the 'maybe' feeling too much!

OP posts:
resipsa · 01/02/2014 07:36

Time - that is fantastic. You definitely 'deserve' it; not to say someone who doesn't struggle does not but you know what I mean, I hope!

OP posts:
Badhairday76 · 01/02/2014 07:34

And well done, Time, for lasting so long to test! I tested yesterday at 4pm at 6dp5dt and got a v faint line. Am now too scared to do it again in case it has disappeared. Mind you, I have been up since 6am with my DS who always gets up far earlier at the weekend than during the week - grrrrr - and am struggling to drink my coffee which is most unusual for a caffeine addicted old teacher like me.

Badhairday76 · 01/02/2014 07:09

Yay Time! Soooo pleased for you! Absolutely brilliant news!

time2deal · 01/02/2014 06:00

And to say that I've finally tested at 12dp5dt - BFP!! OH MY GOD. Four years, three ivfs, one round of cervical cancer later - finally!!

Long way to go still, but I'm very happy. I started to believe my body simply didn't know how to be pregnant.

Onelittlebugbear · 31/01/2014 22:27

It was more because I didn't want people asking and offering sympathy.

People who conceived without fertility problems can't understand, it isn't their fault but they can't. I just thought people will be asking if I "know" yet and I will want to smack them.

Pipbin · 31/01/2014 22:24

Oh, and damn near everyone I know knows that we are doing it.
I have nothing to be ashamed of and it stops people saying things and putting their foot in it.
