The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Thank you ladies. That sounds a bit more reassuring. I have a 3d scan next week and will raise it with the doctor in any case. I just find it wired that I am getting these clots 7 months on. But it could also be the case that I never noticed before mc.

sal that must be a relief!

Who all is poas tomorrow?

OttersPocket · 30/01/2014 11:27

Tea I get out of breath too Blush I used to be uber fit, did lots of weights and looked pretty ripped. Not now though, I'm a bloody blob. I am going to start the 30 day shred for February and watch what I'm eating and drinking Admittedly I've been comfort eating and drinking since the mc, I think I'm ready to face addressing that now though.

TeaRex · 30/01/2014 11:21

Thank you for the welcome everyone, I'm also very impressed by all the talk of exercise, I get out if breath running up the stairs, sadly that's not even a joke. Best if luck to any ladies testing tomorrow, got everything crossed for you x

deuscat · 30/01/2014 11:02

Otters I'm poas tomorrow but not expecting much.

Sundance I also couldn't run at all a few years ago. I started by using a run-walk app on my phone called 'couch to 5k'. It's great, I would recommend it to anyone.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 30/01/2014 10:52

After reading some of your exercise habits i'm feeling very guilty about contemplating ditching my gym session today!! I've been so good, but my motivation is waning!!

This 2ww is going sooooooo slow! Think because I ov'd so late this cycle feels sooooo long!! I'm only 6dpo according to FF!

OttersPocket · 30/01/2014 10:38

Sundance It sounds like you're well covered there. You probably ov'ed on Tuesday or Wednesday so dtd on Monday and Tuesday was perfect timing Smile You've not missed an opportunity at all, quite the opposite!! Don't go crazy on us now Wink But hell yeah, get on it tonight anyway Grin

Sundance2007 · 30/01/2014 10:33

Wowee, action packed thread!

Oh dear sal, sorry about the car but you were very brave going back to speak to the woman and then the police. I'd have probably panicked and fled the country.

Very impressed with some of the exercise routines here. Any running / motivation tips welcome! I swim 3 times a week with the blue-rinse brigade (grannies), and walk my lovely dog Colin an hour a day but would love to be able to actually run without dropping dead by the time I get to the end of the drive.

triple - I had the same thing too, tho mc was in October but last months af was particularly painful until I passed some awful clot. The af was normal length however and I put it down to my body just having a good old clear out.

So, on Monday I got a faint but positive opk about 9pm, and DTD that night, (I'd tested earlier in the day and it was negative but I started getting ov pains so checked again) and did another on tues afternoon, again faint but positive and so we DTD that night too. Last night I felt so unwell I had to take myself off to bed early so we didn't DTD, and now I'm wondering if I've totally missed my chance this month?!

I know sperm can live for a few days etc, but I'm kicking myself that I might have missed an important opportunity! Is there any point me having another go tonight?

OttersPocket · 30/01/2014 10:23

Oh my word, you lot have been skiving off work very chatty! Welcome to all the newbies, it's a bugger that you're here but we do like a good overshare laugh here.

Sal Grin You naughty thing! I wonder how many fags you'd need to trade for a cup of sperm in the nick? (that's how these things work right?)

Well I'm 10 or 11dpo today and totally convinced that I'm not going to get a bfp this month. So much so that DP and I wellied into bottles of some wine last night. And ooft, my head is killing me today. We did have a good heart to heart about ttc etc though and he's promised that we'll have sex on ov days this month which is good. He didn't realise that we only have around three days in a month to hit the jackpot Hmm even though I've told him many times before

The fertility clinic yesterday made me quite emotional. I had to walk past the EPU and it brought all the sad memories flooding back Sad The doctor checked my uterus and it's not septate just arcuate so shouldn't cause me any conception/pregnancy problems. I get six more months of trying with Clomid and if not upduffed by then I'll get six months of gonadotropin injections (I don't ovulate naturally). That'll take us to 3 years of ttc which I don't really want to think about.

So, chin up, tits out ladies! I'm joining in the POAS party tomorrow but don't hold out much hope. Who else is in?

Handsfullandlovingit · 30/01/2014 09:57

doctor what a superstar! That should keep you busy. You guys put me to shame. I have 2dcs and a husband known to work til midnight 7 days a week. If I get to a weekly zumba class it feels like Christmas! I try doing DVDs when the kids are around, but things tend to go wrong - mat squabbles, stealing weights, world war 3 type stuff.

sal so glad to hear insurance is going to sort it, I'd have been absolutely bricking it!

My resolve is wavering about testing tomorrow. It could just be a long cycle.

Sal1977 · 30/01/2014 09:04

Bloody hell Doctor I think I burnt a few calories just reading that line up! I managed a few 'old lady' swims this week i.e gentle swimming, not getting my hair wet whilst chatting to a friend!

triple I think it's perfectly normal to be honest. I had the same this month, but had the worst sudden pain about 2 days into AF (whilst massaging a client - convenient - nearly sweated on her back) and went to the loo afterwards and passed a chunk of something. Lovely!

Insurance sorting out the prang thankfully, but DH is now calling me his jailbird! I must have properly twatted the car though, I think we'll need new doors on the front and back passenger side secretly hoping they'll write ours off as its a piece of shit

Haha, smuggling sperm into the clink. Now have images of DH knocking one out under the visitor table into a receptacle.....

deuscat · 30/01/2014 09:01

Sal you criminal! Grin

Triple I'm not sure but I'd be worried about that, too. Maybe go to your GP?

Handsfull I'm very impressed with your poas restraint.

I'm a runner but I've been out of action for 2 months now due to a recurrent ankle sprain injury. Hoping to get back to running in the next month but also hoping that I'll get upduffed and be back to the sofa Wink

CD37 in my WTF post-mc cycle. I will be poas tomorrow even though I'm not expecting anything. Anyone else poas tomorrow? Last week we had 4 BFP's!

Penguin13 · 30/01/2014 09:01

Triple I had a similar thing this AF, my second after mc (thought it was my third but clearly can't count!) and my first real cycle although I don't think I ovd. Dr Google revealed inconclusive results other than that some people had a similar thing and it can be normal. On the advice of someone here I ended up calling my local EPAU who were lovely and said it's likely to be just AF, some people do get fleshy clots, but to take a pg test just in case. I would maybe call your local EPAU for reassurance if you're concerned. I'm hoping it's our bodies properly 'clearing out' and spring cleaning ready for a new bean.

Triplespin · 30/01/2014 07:47

Hi ladies
Impressed with how sporty some of you are. My daily exercise routine is walking to and from the station. Don't have the energy for anything else.

I did temping for about 4 cycles and it helped me at least figure out that I am ovulating and that my signs: ewcm, opk and temp normally line up around ovulation, I have since stopped doing it as it is too much effort and I start obsessing and spending ages on fertility friend comparing my chart with others!

In the spirit of over sharing, I have a question. 2-3 post mc cycles my AF started with severe cramps (requiring me to take paracetamol). After that AF was back to my pre MC with no pain. This cycle my AF arrived only about half-one day late but has again started with cramps and it was quite painful. Yesterday i noticed passing two fleshy clots the size of 50p. So now I am wondering what that could mean? Was it be a new chemical / mc that I didn't realise or could it be retained products from my original mc (7 months ago) or something else entirely?

fedupofrainydays · 30/01/2014 07:44

I can't keep up with you ladies, this thread is moving so fast now. Just spent 5 mins siting in the car park at work catching up as working all hours in the day at mo.

Wow - some hard core exercisers on here.

Sal - ha ha, I thought you had been arrested for dribbling baby batter over nurse! Did you do the smear?!

Handsfull - amazed you haven't tested but also get your logic. it does look good though :)

Right better get on with my crazy busy day today. Thank god it's Thursday and day I allow myself a glass of wine!

Justonemoretime · 30/01/2014 07:31

lol, its not as hard core as military races! I do the great swim series, 1 mile events. Hope I'll have other priorities by the start of the season...!

Luckystar1 · 30/01/2014 07:20

Feeling very inferior to all you sporty ladies!!! Nor a great excuse, but I'm out of the house for 14 hours at least a day, so I never get time! I'd love to get back to exercise, it's a great de-stresser, but I just can't find a way to fit it in! (I'm sure if I tried I probably could!!)

Justonemoretime · 30/01/2014 07:18

I'm not built for running...Wink

DoctorDonnaNoble · 30/01/2014 07:17

There are two ways of doing these military style races. In boots with weight on your back, or clean fatigue or as I say, the sensible way Grin

Parsley2506 · 30/01/2014 07:04

Totally lost at 'clean fatiguing The Fan Dance' - self certified couch potato right here!!

Welcome tea, I also joined before starting ttc, this is just a great place for some support and laughs!

sal I don't even think a stint in prison would stop you, if anyone could find a way to get spermy contraband in to prison it'd be you. Syringes at the ready! ;-)
Sorry about the fender bender

DoctorDonnaNoble · 30/01/2014 07:03

Open water swimming? That's hardcore!

Justonemoretime · 30/01/2014 06:59

Well done, Doctor, impressive! I tend to go for open water swimming events. If I'm not pg by the summer I will be signing up.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 30/01/2014 06:58

Nah, I'm not really a great runner. Only occasionally managed sub-10 miles! But I did do London Marathon last year. Only a couple of hours off a good for age time!!!

Penguin13 · 30/01/2014 06:51

Wow Doctor great way to get positively focused on something other than ttc. I'm guessing you're a regular runner with an impressive line - up like that! I'm more of a walker these days as running tends to end up with me injured and using as an excuse to stop completely although I do miss running.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 30/01/2014 06:00

I 've been signing up for races. So, I've got 2 Halfs and 1 full Marathon until May. Then, I'm clean fatiguing the Fan Dance, a SAS/SBS selection route on Pen Y Fan, before tabbing Catterick a Paras training route and then run/walking the Saltmarsh 75!! All have said I can defer if situation changes.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 29/01/2014 23:35

Hi TeaRex, sorry you're joining us Sad hope you have lots of support and people around to give hugs when you need it. It's thoroughly crap isn't it.
We're a good bunch, hopefully your stay will be short and sweet.
Sal- you've cracked me up! What a bloody bitch!! Do not mess with a woman TTC after a mc! Glad the police saw things from your side. Not sure you'd be allowed on mumsnet from inside!! Might also make TTC a little difficult!
