The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Hey ladies, just saying hello as a newbie. You're all hilarious and caring in equal measure. Glad there is some refreshing fish throwing for the more mad moments (had a few myself). Trying for the first time for last 5mnths and no idea what I'm doing! X

Parsley2506 · 01/02/2014 21:33

Ahh, I can only imagine the mental torture tanny. I hope you've got some stuff planned to try to keep your mind occupied elsewhere as far as possible, and you know where we all are when you need some posifrickentivity! Keeping everything crossed for you and hope the week and a bit goes quickly!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 01/02/2014 21:19

Sending good and sticky vibes. Hope you get to scan and it's good news.

tannyLoo · 01/02/2014 21:18

Parsley thanks for thinking of me. I'm still really struggling. I have tried to save some sanity by staying away from the sticks, but my head is still trying to implode. One moment I entertain some slight hope that this pg might be ok really, then I end up feeling all the dread about never getting past 6 weeks.

I can go and get a scan at 6wks, so my new strategy is not to change anything until then, keep taking the drugs and not testing. After the scan I will make plans.
Only a week and a half to go...

Parsley2506 · 01/02/2014 21:06

Ps thanks to everyone for your kind words when I was being a blubbering wreck last night. These comments and their effects are always short lived but feel like the worst thing ever at the time, as you all know!

Parsley2506 · 01/02/2014 21:04

tanny how are you? Have been thinking of you!

teresa the standard MC survivors "welcome but wish you weren't here" to you. Hope your stay is short and sweet!

sal MrP is an expert at turning every last thing I say in to an innuendo, if i told him to get the sausages out of the freezer, I'd come home to him with his pants round his ankles doing a willy dance most likely! I have to say, if he didn't make me laugh so much I think I'd have gone properly doolally by now. Bless his perverted little cotton socks! ;-)

Sal1977 · 01/02/2014 19:31

Haha...I actually text DH from work and said to get the sausages out the freezer for TITH! Got home about half six and thought fuck it, so just ordered a Chinese!

TITH in both senses of the word tomorrow! Hehe x

tannyLoo · 01/02/2014 18:54

I've not been in the mood to post for a few days, but dh has suggested toad in the hole for tea! Pahahaha!

TeresaGreene · 01/02/2014 18:21

Ah thanks for making me feel so welcome everyone! Penguin13 I love that colour - we've got F&B downpipe in our living room although it took a while to convince DH! Speaking of him, he wasn't keen to dtd this month when I was ovulating as I had a horrid vomiting bug so that opportunity was missed. Fingers crossed for a lot of BFPs for us all in Feb :)

DoctorDonnaNoble · 01/02/2014 17:42

Hope this isn't tmi but just got thick ewcm at what I thought was 4 dpo. So, I've probably ovulated significantly later than I thought, yes?
(Yes, I need another slap as this was a symptom for me when I got BFP)

DoctorDonnaNoble · 01/02/2014 16:42

I passed about a year and a half ago on my second test. It gets me down sometimes that the only things I've ever failed at have been things others find easy - driving and having a baby Hmm

Penguin13 · 01/02/2014 16:24

It's actually not my first attempt at learning either tea. Well done for not letting it beat you. It's certainly not cheating to do automatic, whatever gets you through the test I reckon :-) I'm finding it a little easier outside of London with an extremely patient instructor! I really need to pass my test now I am out in the sticks. Plus, like you say, it's a great distraction.

Seasides · 01/02/2014 12:34

I'm with you doc-3dpo and had a bit of a boob-poke this morning! Trouting myself...

l loathed driving too, took forever to feel comfortable. You will get there!

TeaRex · 01/02/2014 11:24

Penguin have to be honest and say that I hate driving (tried two other times in my life) but I cheated this time and I'm just doing automatic, I honestly think it's best to do manual but I just couldn't get my head round gear changes. And I really need to get my licence :) will be glad when it's all over and I've been driving for a bit by myself, think it'll get my confindence up then. Hope your lessons go well :)

Penguin13 · 01/02/2014 10:38

Welcome Teresa. Sorry you find yourself here but hopefully your stay will be short. I love your name, we’re about to paint our dining room in Farrow and Ball's Teresa's green.

Tea hope driving lesson went well. Must be a lot less stressful at your stage and how exciting to have your test soon. I'm only a few lessons in and still at the terrifying involuntary swearing stage or is that just me

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/02/2014 10:15

Far too early Doctor! Salmon coming your way Wink

DoctorDonnaNoble · 01/02/2014 09:26

4/5 days po is too early for symptoms yes? Please give me a slap someone!

wingandtalon · 01/02/2014 09:09

Congratulations handsfull I can understand the wibblyness. Get yourself to a Dr on Monday. My GP has told me to go to him as soon as I get a BFP so that he can book me in for an early scan so I'm sure that they will be able to do similar for you to put your mind at rest.

DH and I had a big heart to heart on Thursday evening. We've decided to stop actively ttc for a month and just enjoy each other. I feel a lot less stressed already and TITH happened twice yesterday so it looks like our not ttc month might be more of a shagathon than when we are trying!

Welcome Teresa I hope your stay is short.

TeaRex · 01/02/2014 08:30

Oh and hi Teresa, I'm new here too :)

TeaRex · 01/02/2014 08:29

Congratulations handsfull :) brilliant to hear good news :) I'm off out for another driving lesson today, got my test in a few weeks, really can't be arsed with it today but do find it's a really good distraction. Can I ask you all a question, my cycles have always been completely screwed up(29 days to 86 days, only have 6 a year normally) anyone else with crap cycles pre mc, have you found they've been worse/better or just the same? Thanks x

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/02/2014 00:56

Yay!! Handsful! Congratulations!! Take it easy and be happy. Wishing for a cozy stay for your little bean! Xx

Sorry you're feeling rubbish Parsley, it can be a real shitter at times. People really don't know what to say. Most of my friends come out with 'well at least you know you can get pregnant'! Great! Thanks! But ok not am I! And I was! Grrr! Anyway try to do something fun this weekend and enjoy time with your family - even if they do unwittingly put their foot in it!

deuscat · 31/01/2014 23:12

Parsley sorry to hear you've had such a crappy time today.

Welcome Teresa. Sorry for your losses. You'll find a very friendly bunch here Smile I can't answer your question as I'm still waiting for my first AF post-mc and I'm on cd38! Hopefully someone else can help.

deuscat · 31/01/2014 23:08

Congratulations Handsfull. I hope that everything works out for you. I can understand your wibbliness. But don't worry, we've got the posifrickentivity!

Thanks everyone. I feel slightly better about my WTF cycle. Still got another 3 weeks before I get into "abnormal" range. I think I was most upset because I was still hoping I was pregnant. Now I'm just wishing AF would arrive. But I know she will in her own good time. In the meantime I'm trying not to think about ttc every second of the day so much and just relax Wink

TeresaGreene · 31/01/2014 23:01

Hello... I'm not to late to join am I? I did join another ttc thread but i seem to have hidden it somehow. Ive got 2 DC after DD1 was stillborn at 36 weeks. Then I had a mmc at 12 weeks in Nov 2013 and am now trying to ttc again. Can I ask if anyone has experienced shorter cycles following their miscarriage as mine have reduced from 28 to 23 days long and it's been worrying me.

Handsfullandlovingit · 31/01/2014 22:40

Oh parsley have a hug. What an awful lot to put up with. Unless you have had a mc, you have NO IDEA how bloody painful it is and how much innocent words hurt. If not booze, then a bubble bath, bit of Jilly Cooper and a box of chocolates. Snuggly jimjams and a log fire. Go puddle jumping. Look deep inside a snowdrop. Stuff like that. And have another hug.

Thanks for all the loveliness, you lot are good at that. I think the key will be to keep oh so busy for the next 3 months.
