The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Good luck triple, keeping fx for you. Maybe just try to hd out until Thursday / Friday before testing again?

Some hopeful posts here, hope we have some Christmas babies in the way.

Re: endometriosis - she said it can be treated with a laparoscopy and hormone tablets, but opting for that will mean I can't ttc for at least 6 months and given that is our priority, she said its best to just try to manage the pain instead.

DTD on Sunday when got first positive opk, and was still showing 2 lines yesterday afternoon so we DTD again last night but don't think we've done enough this month sadly, and I'm only in cd14...hate hate hate the 2ww.

Moving house in 3 weeks so trying to see that as a sort of fresh start.

sebsmummy1 · 25/02/2014 10:21

Argh. Ok girls, I am going to hide the toad in the baguette one more time. I am doing this just for you lot though.

Otters you will not see a line on 9dpo so don't get despondent. I have pissed on a lot of sticks over the last 9 months and it was always 11 dpo that any line could be seen. Good luck lovely lady xxx

OttersPocket · 25/02/2014 10:18

Dude, there's no way I could wait until 99DPO! Grin I know, I'm an idiot!

Penguin13 · 25/02/2014 10:15

Er 9DPO Grin think 99dpo may be a little late! Auto-correct ftw.

Penguin13 · 25/02/2014 10:14

Otters! Step away from the sticks. Now you know it is too early to test at 99dpo. Chin up, tits out lady.

OttersPocket · 25/02/2014 10:13

sebs SMEP says to dtd the day after ov then skip a day, then dtd again. If you're totally sure that you ov'ed yesterday then the chance that you would conceive from today's efforts is miniscule. The TTC madness we all experience will probably drive you to thinking that not dtd today will completely ruin your chances of course Hmm

I can hear a bloody baby crying somewhere in my corridor at work wtf. I feel grumpy and want to yell expletives! Envy

sebsmummy1 · 25/02/2014 10:02

Congratulations Triple. Delighted for you Sad totally understand your concerns. Really really pray for a sticky and a H&H pregnancy darling xxx

Ok I'm really bored of the shagging now. So I think I OVed yesterday so we DTD yesterday night. Can I stop now? I can't remember if SMEP says to then do one more for luck the day after ov or wait and DTD the following day? I'm not even sore just sick of willies lol

OttersPocket · 25/02/2014 09:54

Wooooooo Triple! That's very exciting and a very strong line. Sending all the posifrickentivity your way Smile

Sal where are yoooooou?

9DPO and I poas no symptoms whatsoever here. Cue the blues and feelings of doom and gloom etc.

Chin up doctor, it's totally shit and not fair for you that DP is ill. I get irrationally upset and angry with my DP when he doesn't want tith during the fertile days. The whole thing is a complete head fuck.

Seasides · 25/02/2014 09:31

Ha ha penguin, you must have made some male commuters' mornings! There were probably some knowing women around you thinking, 'ah, she's one of us...'

Yay triple! Pom poms in the air! Of course hang around, but I hope you're off to that heavenly grads thread soon for nine, blissfully dull months.

Sorry for your unavailable DH doctor, what bad timing. I would ask if he could grin and bear it in a day or so, but being prone to the damn things myself I know how painful a UTI is. I used to think big thoughts about timings too - more that I wanted a baby before DH was 40 (not going to happen any more); I felt like every month that passed was a month less that my parents would know him or her - dark thoughts. I don't think like that now, you just can't. It's too much pressure. Although I have just realised I'm not thinking like that any more - that's progress, I suppose!

Yes, pickle - any news? And Sal - are you out there? Getting worried we've not heard from you in a few days, hope you're just off having too much fun for TTC worries.

Penguin13 · 25/02/2014 09:24

What a lot of naughty POASers we gave this week. Eee congratulations Triple. Really hoping for the dullest pregnancy ever for you.

I have officially gone crazy. I realised this morning whilst waiting for the tube that I was absent mindedly prodding my boobs in public Blush trying to work out if it was actually my boobs or my pectoral muscles that were sore (turned out to be the pecs alas) Can't wait for Friday so I can get my inevitable BFN stop stressing and start ramping up for another feast of TITH.

HollyBen · 25/02/2014 09:17

Any news pickle?

Dpo 9. No real symptoms to speak off - post ov sore nipples might be slightly less sore (or I am imaginibg it) and a bit crampy feeling perhaps. not feeling overly confident. Spotting normally starts dpo11. Hoping to get to friday to poas...

HollyBen · 25/02/2014 09:09

Congratulations triple and everything crossed for you (including legs as in the tww and who can be botheredWink ) Keep us posted.

Metalhead · 25/02/2014 08:32

Congrats on all the BFPs, I hope they stick!

Triplespin · 25/02/2014 08:13

Thank you ladies.

parsley I plan to test again on Thursday when I officially due and if its two lines then I will make the call to my GP. My GP service is the same, call at 8:30 on the day. Very annoying as some people need to go to work too!

pickles any news from you?

doctor I hope your oh recovers soon. I know how incredibly frustrating it can be. Just when you are entering the fertile period and partners become unavailable. We have this issue every cycle due to DH's busy work schedule and when I spring on him (according to him random times) that its Tith time, he is not a happy bunny.

I hope you all don't mind me hanging around here for a while. Don't think I am ready to graduate just yet.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 25/02/2014 07:51

Oh Triple!! Lovely news, although I totally get that you're worried. I think I'd be inclined to wait a couple of days. Everything's crossed for you.

Doctor, I think we all have certain dates when things would be more convenient but sometimes you have to just say screw it. You are more important. You won't have let your class down, you'll have done everything you are capable of to make sure that when the time comes they're ready so sit the exams and do well regardless of wether you're actually there. And we're only 2months into 2014 - it WILL be a good year!! Smile

Parsley2506 · 25/02/2014 07:36

Ooooh triple!! I can imagine how scared you must be but you're pregnant right now. Have you made an appt to see your GP?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 25/02/2014 07:26

Fingers crossed Triple. Well DH is a little better today but I need him to get fully well in the next 3 days I reckon we'll have missed our window this month. Seriously, 2014 is really conspiring against us at the minute.
I hate this. I know it's rubbish but I keep thinking about how I've missed the window to go on mat leave in the Summer Holidays now. My original EDD would have turned up during the study leave period so would have been relatively convenient and wouldn't have felt like I let my students down. But now (with some luck) I'll be letting down exam classes :(

Justonemoretime · 25/02/2014 07:17

Mini your story about the scan photo made me Sad . That's why I am totally open with people, to avoid that sort of situation. I have my first counselling session tonight (because I am aware that reading that someone else who I don't know had a scan and feeling sad is not normal).
I want to go back and finish my MA one of these days... maybe next year (of course something will have happened by then...?)

Justonemoretime · 25/02/2014 07:12

Triplespin Grin good luck, wishing you an uneventful and boring pg.

Triplespin · 25/02/2014 00:35

Also forgot to say I no longer have sore boobs since I poas which is another reason for thinking chemical.

Triplespin · 25/02/2014 00:34

sundance so happy to hear that it all went well, with the exception of the get pregnant comment. Is there nothing they can do to treat the endometriosis? The option of early scans is great, hopefully you will be booking one in soon !!

pickles fx for tomorrow. Hope the suspense clears up. FMU is imp up to AF due date, so hopefully you will see those two lines tomorrow.

otters your symptoms sound promising. When is AF due and then will you yield to poas!

Some fish slaps here ladies. Unfortunately I caved in today at 12dpo. I had slight sore boobs but nothing out of ordinary (same feeling pre AF). Anyway I got two lines. Just can't blv it as I never expected after such a long time and especially this cycle as we didn't even dtd much. Here is the link, please check it out.

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test-gallery/image.php?galleryid=236269

I now can't sleep as I really think it will be a chemical and when I test again it will no longer be there. Not quite sure whether it makes sense to test again tomorrow or should I just wait till Thursday when AF would be due. Argh. Wish I hadn't tested -it must be a chemical. .......

mini28 · 24/02/2014 23:04

Sorry for the confusing test tests pickle sending lots of positive thoughts your way.

sundance glad you got some answers, but a bit annoying that their advice was to get preggo! Fantastic news on the early scans though, that must be really reassuring.

penguin I'm studying for my MA in Ancient Religions. I kept putting it off because we were ttc, but a couple of months ago I just thought to myself crap it I can't keep putting stuff off in the vague hope that I miraculously get upduffed at some point. I was also hoping that I would invoke sod's law a bit, but it hasn't worked yet! pinky cm = very good sign!

otters I'm sure a sneaky Thursday poas is allowed under special circumstances every once a while Grin
I'm not sure whether I'll poas on Friday...I'll see how I feel later in the week (not feeling too hopeful we dtd at the right time this cycle)

DH's uncle came round for an impromptu lunch visit today armed with dh's cousin's 12-week scan pictures. We knew she was pregnant beforehand (she told the whole world as soon as she got her bfp Hmm) but it didn't make it any easier. It wasn't his fault, he doesn't know about the mmc, but it was pretty difficult him cooing over the scan photos and telling us how relieved cousin is that the scan went well. I feel awful that I'm not more happy for them, but it's just so hard to be.

Anyway, must be more posifrickintive! We will all get our bfps! Chin up and all that...

Justonemoretime · 24/02/2014 22:29

Metal, 2 weeks is about normal. If its still going after a month, see your GP. Good luck.

Metalhead · 24/02/2014 22:25

Fx for tomorrow pickle!

Can I ask a question for any of you ladies who've had an erpc: how long did you bleed/spot afterwards? It's a week tomorrow that I had mine done (and 11 days since I started to miscarry), and every time I think the spotting has finally stopped I get a mini gush of blood again. It's really starting to p**s me off!! The blood is getting more browny-red so I guess it's moving in the right direction, but I'd just like it to stop now so I can get back to normal (and start exercising again as I'm turning into a big fat blob!).
