The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Only 4 days to wait though for me. Going to try and keep busy.

Justonemoretime · 10/02/2014 06:51

Doctor, I know what you mean. I'm dpo 10, but I'm not feeling it. So over this. Sad hope we're both wrong.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 10/02/2014 06:38

Oh well, some cramping today so looks like AF is going to show up . I genuinely hate this.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 09/02/2014 18:55

Seasides - your plea sounds great!

Seasides · 09/02/2014 18:38

Good luck with the last stretch doc - i actually find the 2ww more agonising than the BFNs. All that guessing, body-watching, anticipation...torture.

Sorry your body's not behaving baxter - not to diminish your worries, but is this your 1st af after mc? It's natural for it to be ballsed up for a couple of months I think, don't beat yourself up about it - you've been through the wringer.

Wine, bath and bathbomb. Then more painting...I'm so productive when DH isn't around!

OH sorry to hear of the BFFN but remember it isnt over until the fat witch pays a visit. I am keeping all my fingers crossed for some BFFP on this page soon!

Feeling a bit down today. AF has trailed off, giving me about 2.5days of bleeding. I just feel my body is broken and If i cant even bleed properly how am I going to be able to grow a baby. Stupid old uterus.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 09/02/2014 15:59

Lovely trip to the rugby - despite the result! A few days to go until time to POAS. Trying not to symptom spot - but there are several. Bought some more pregnancy tests today in Boots. Hope I actually get to use them. If I get to Friday that will be 4 days late on pre-MC cycle length but only the second month since I miscarried so who knows what my cycle length is now! Hope everyone's ok.

Triplespin · 09/02/2014 15:06

Sorry got cut off. And one mummy is pg for the third time. I wish I was that fertile. So now that is the third pg announcement since yesterday. Aah well chin up, tits out.

Seaside I hope you can get you investigations underway and like many maybe get your bfp just before the appointment.

Sal that is a good way of looking at it. We should always count our blessing.

Ewcm spotted but no smiley on opk yet which is good as dh is not around!

Triplespin · 09/02/2014 15:02

seaside sorry about the bfn. Yes we always harbour hope, given so many get pg on one drunken night.

Just came back from a birthday party (DS friend) and

Parsley2506 · 09/02/2014 14:39

That's the spirit ladies! Smile

Tadpole2013 · 09/02/2014 14:16

Sorry for all the bffns. Really.

So, the 2ww has begun.

You know, sal, I also try to regularly count my blessings. Last night I was driving up to our new house (which is so far from finished, still) and it was all lit up and it looked so beautiful and loved that I thought ok, so we have a house big enough for twins. But I know it won't be cold without any little ones. Because DP is such a wonderful man.

Time to eat and sofa-surf.

Have a lovely Sunday, TTC'ers!

Seasides · 09/02/2014 12:31

Thanks guys - I suppose DH and I did only manage one relevant serving of TITH this month as he was ill...it only takes one o~ though, so you always hope.

IVF and twins do often go hand-in-hand Sal...I'm sure you won't get there though. Although, Ikwym about feeling you will - I'm the same, for some reason. I just want to get all the investigations out the way asap so I know if that will be the case.

That's such a sweet day, I almost had a little well up! I know I'm a total stranger to you and your DH IRL, but from this thread you sound like a stonking couple. That's the most important thing I think. No matter how crap all this TTC shit is, the only time I feel really down is when DH isn't happy, or our relationship feels 'off'.

Hope all the hangovers are lifting - chips, water and a blustery walk! I'm distracting myself and procrastinating from the writing I need to do by fire-proof painting a door (SIX coats?!!!) for building warrant and selling clothes on Etsy.

Awwww...crappy times lovely mummawannabees!

I actually felt I'd turned a corner once my due date had passed. It was the date that was looming that I felt awful about (especially as my friend had her baby on the exact date!)

This week last year was the best ever! I got my BFP, went to a family gathering with my mum and dad, sister, brother and grandad and told them. They were so excited! Then just as we finished our lunch, DH got down on one knee and popped the question producing the most perfect smallest diamond ring!!

Fast forward 12 months and we're 3 babies down but married and soo happy together.

The wierd thing is, I've always kinda thought in the back of my mind that i'd end up having IVF (tried for year with ex-husband who now has his own baby) BUT, I've also always thought I'd have twins as well. Who knows....

sebsmummy1 · 09/02/2014 09:24

Grrr, sorry about bfFn Seasides. I used to hate seeing negative pregnancy tests, now I want to see one desperately!!

I seemed to have stopped bleeding now. I think the main part of my mc happened last Saturday (though I didn't know it at the time) so I have bled for 7 days and now its a tiny bit of spotting. HPT test still showing pos but i bought a stack of early ones so I guess they are going to be showing positive for a long time yet.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 09/02/2014 09:21

Morning Ladies,
Sorry for the bffn seasides.
And Triple, sorry you had a shit day yesterday. That would have put anyone in a foul mood! I'm so hoping that i'm upduffed by the time my due date comes, especially as my best friend is due two days after Sad

After my hangover hell yesterday, I told dh I wasnt going to drink last night. MASSIVE fail!! He has some colleagues over from the states and jesus they're a bad influence! Got in at 2am! I sound like a massive drinker now....I'm not, I promise!

Parsley2506 · 09/02/2014 08:46

X post - sorry for the second bfn seasides, but in still secretly hoping you'll get a late sneaky BFP. You're not out yada yada yada.....

Parsley2506 · 09/02/2014 08:42

triple sorry to hear about your crappy day yesterday, that must have been so hard to handle so well done.

We had a nice night out, drank a few too many rums so now lying in bed waiting for MrP to deliver a bacon sarnie and some tea.
Funny thing; MrP spilt oily curry on his jeans on fri so I told him to put some cornflour on the mark and leave then out for me to wash today. He evidently used a LOT of cornflour and then left them on the kitchen table. When we got in last night the (normally black) cat came running to greet us, covered in flour from ears to tail! Cue me chasing her around the house at midnight with a wet towel. Finding little ghostly cat patches all over the floor and furniture!!

Seasides · 09/02/2014 08:38

Cracked and tested, 11dpo. BFFN - sure you can guess what the extra F is for. Now I know that I can imagine nausea for four days on the trot...on the downside, I'll have AF for our romantic Valentine's break later this week. On the upside, I can now drink romantic Wine again, and get back to being sane rather than googling 'X imagined symptom early pregnancy?".

All this talk of kitchens is giving me the flashback shivers. Spent most of last year being ripped off by a cowboy joiner who delivered us a badly made piece of MDF shit when we'd ordered our dream solid wood kitchen. It got messy, and off the charts stressful - a bit of me wonders if all that is part of the reason why last year was a TTC-fail. Will have to replace when it falls apart in another year or so.

penguin currently drinking prosecco. Think we should go for it. TBH no more ewcm so think we are past it.

I need a new kitchen ceiling if that counts. Pipe burst in hotpress when we were on honeymoon and result is messy. I try not to let anything get me down these days.

sundance have you an update. What's happening?

Penguin13 · 08/02/2014 22:50

Triple sorry about the rough day. The due date is one milestone I am really dreading and the pg news made it a horrible double whammy.

MissP I know how you feel! I am starting to flag but since I have no idea when ov is am just randomly shagging every other day ish. Did you decide to go for it? Sounds like you are well covered but I always tend to think 'and once more for luck'.

Triplespin · 08/02/2014 22:31

Thank you ladies. Just having a glass of wine and also indulged myself with some (online) retail therapy!!

Miss Hobart just realised that you have similar dates to mine. I am also expecting to ovulate around 12th, so you should be fine on Tuesday unless of course you the opk is telling the truth.

Hollyben thanks. Hope you are upduffed by April. You still have two more cycles to go :)

Sal we have an ikea kitchen too. Was put in by the previous owners and it looks great even after 2.5 years of rough usage on our part.

MissHobart · 08/02/2014 22:08

Then it'll be onto ttc 2 & 3! Confused Hmm

MissHobart · 08/02/2014 22:08

Yeah right! Once I'm PG TITH week just be filled with mc worries Sad

I think it'll start being fun again once I've gotten over a birth! Hmm

HollyBen · 08/02/2014 21:36

What would be worse missp tith or possible missing SME?

Oh to getting back to tith being spontaneous because you fancy it not because some stick or app deems it the thing to do

HollyBen · 08/02/2014 21:33

Sorry you are having a rubbish day triple. The due date thing is a complete pisser isn't it. I am desperately hoping for a BFP before mine in April but not feeling. To hear new pg announcements too double whammy. Be kind to your self, feet up and crack open the Wine think positive - it will happen for you when the time is right.

I have THE worst kitchen. Actually the kitchen itself isn't that bad but it has been really badly fitted and finished. Luckily we are due to rip it out and knock a wall down down to create a fab new dining kitchen in the next month or so Grin can't' wait to start boring the pants of DH looking at paints and tiles and lights and tables and curtain fabric and doors and ..... A welcome distraction from TTC hopefully
