The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Flying off to France till Fri and getting very over-excited about being allowed entry to the BA lounge thanks to h's ridiculously over-excited work flights to China. Try not to do anything too exciting till next sat, BFPs are allowed, indeed encouraged though. Wish me luck spending 4 and a bit days with the in-laws (who are thankfully lovely) and pregnant SIL (also lovely) during the 2ww!

Tadpole2013 · 15/02/2014 21:28

Oh God, Sal, I once got my legs waxed and I was crying. Never again. My flowerpot?! No. No. No. The pain!! Shock
I'm definitely a prunning shears kinda gal. Otherwise known as a coward!
We have to work on the house tomorrow, so no couch-surfing for me this weekend.
Also 10dpo. Twinges and weirdnesses. Nothing new. After my mc my AF symptoms are so messed up.

Have a good one, ladies!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/02/2014 17:53

If by nice you mean a 7/8 or so mile run then yes, I have something nice planned. If not, then no, I don't. Oh, I'll also be doing more tidying and sorting in the house - we really do have far too much crap!

Sal1977 · 15/02/2014 17:35

Laughing at the term 'Womble area'!

I'm having some twinges there as well at 10dpo. Definitely a healthy baby getting comfy and not more likely wind!!

Bloody manic week! I can safely say there were probably some happy chappies in the area on Valentines night after all the waxing I've done this week! Hehe

Just put my feet up after finishing work and buying all of the cake from Morrisons.

Any nice plans for Sunday ladybugs? X

TeaRex · 15/02/2014 17:20

Thanks parsley fish shaped bump on head has knocked some sense into me and I've got some pre-mixed pimms in the fridge which I'll drink straight out of the can can later, 'cause I'm classy like that. Should sort me out. sebs hope your knicker watch continues to move in a positive direction :) x

sebsmummy1 · 15/02/2014 15:35

Thank you girls xxxx

I actually do have something happening down below which has excited me lol. I have creamy cm. No idea what that means but I have a vague recollection of having that before I kicked into EWCM territory.

Parsley2506 · 15/02/2014 15:12

Glad to hear the dark days aren't getting you too often Tea although it makes them doubly hard when they do crop up, so have that cry - you're definitely allowed. Good luck with the newborn, I am also meeting my BFFs new baby tomorrow but instead choosing desperately hoping to focus on the belief that the next one I hold will be mine.

Feeling decidedly AFish in the womble area today. CD25 - if I had my pre MC cycle length of 28/29 then this might not be surprising but I've been 32 days last two cycles, and I'm only 9DPO, so not really expecting AF till Friday. Gaaaaaaah!

TeaRex · 15/02/2014 12:30

Well I'm in the dumps today, can't stop thinking about mc and keep crying, not had a really bad day in a while so I guess it was bound to happen soon, also off to see a newborn tomorrow, god help me :(
On the plus side we booked a holiday last night so off on Wednesday (plus maybe this'll bring AF out of hiding in a Sod's law kind of way) so someone please drop a great big tuna on me from a great big height because I should be more positive! Self indulgent rant over.

Belated happy birthday sebs sorry things are so rough at the mo :( and belated Happy Valentines to everyone x

Parsley2506 · 15/02/2014 10:54

Ah sebs, I know words don't really change anything but your body will get with the programme before too long. A bit of screaming and hitting is definitely a good way to depressurise in the meantime.
I tried kickboxing once, couldn't connect with the pads in any sort of forceful way for love nor money, I was truly truly hopeless! It was fun(ny) tho (albeit mainly for my instructor!). Instead now I have taken over control of the axe and the log pile at home. Equally satisfying!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/02/2014 10:54

I think the boxing and heavy weights help me feel in control. Whereas my ttc/mc existence feels pretty out of my control and I hate that as it's my own body. I think the hitting things as therapy is about getting the power back. Oh, and it's really cardio to make up for all the comfort food too! Grin

sebsmummy1 · 15/02/2014 10:41

Funny you should mention attacking things as therapy Doctor as I was mucking about this morning with an empty wrapping paper cardboard tube (think light saber from Star Wars). Started off tapping it on my sons head and nappy bottom, then gently hitting my partner on the arm etc. then I said if I hit you really hard with this it would hurt? He is 'errrm yes' so I decided to hit the edge of the open door.

Before I knew it I was screaming and hitting it again and again with all my strength until it disintegrated in my hands. My son thought this was hilarious, my partner looked bloody terrified lol. I think I have all this anger inside of me and actually it needs a outlet before I totally lose the plot. They is a personal training gym up the road that is pretty intense and I was going to join until I got my BFP. Might be worth a word and see if I could do some classes.

Had a lovely birthday. We are finishing the champagne this morning with Bucks Fizz and I feel totally pissed as I don't drink. I've decided that this limbo land between mc and AF is actually far worse for me than the mc itself. I am really struggling with being nowhere in my cycle. I am still showing a faint positive so I can't use opks. I have no discernable cm, I guess I feel a bit wetter (TMI) but nothing that plots me anywhere fertility wise. My body still thinks it's pregnant so is doing nothing at all.

Fucking depressing.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/02/2014 09:50

Oh, how I wish we could lock our doors sometimes! But no keys for us in the English Department. But there we go. I'm now phoneless for a week and a bit until payday when I can get it all sorted.

Tadpole2013 · 15/02/2014 08:26

Happy belated, sebs!

You lot a very addictive. I couldn't get into MN for the better part of the week (to post) but that meant obsessively reading up!

Thank you for cheering me up. Had a right crappy week. Spent last night with some KFC and cola cola. Being in the 2ww I didn't want to risk alcohol. But did I miss a glass of wine!

So sorry for the bfns.

And sorry about the phone Donna. Work is supposed to be 'safe'! We had a thief a few years back and it made it so hard. Still to this day, I don't go to the loo without locking my office.

OH Just! I feel like a bitch but I did not have the 'oh look at your bump' conversation this week.
I literally just don't look at the bump. And I know she will want me to touch it and just the thought of it makes me gag.
I'm shocked by my behaviour but right now, just don't feel that friendly.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 15/02/2014 08:22

Same here. AF is a bitch. Sitting here in pain while DH is at work. Had a beer last night though which was nice. I do seem to be in the middle of a baby storm - maybe we just don't notice it so much before TTC/MC. Anyway, the gym class was really good though. I ended up having to lift as much on my barbell as my old PT (she is injured though!). If you're ever feeling rubbishy I can heartily recommend a CrossFit style class. Or punching things. Punching things is good (not people - just pads - I do a Hatton Academy class even though I really hate the sport of boxing - nothing wrong with punching pads or bags!).

Justonemoretime · 15/02/2014 07:16

Morning, hope you had a good birthday Sebs? And all you Valentine's ladies were treated to something nice?
Af is here good and proper. Been feeling a bit down in the dumps; had a little :'( yesterday after a loud 'oh gosh look at your bump' conversion outside my office door (how would they know? Everyone loves good news and babies, right?). Then Dh neglected to tell me his cousin had had her baby so that I could enjoy our night out. He obviously thinks I am bonkers. Sad

DoctorDonnaNoble · 14/02/2014 17:04

Still no AF but going to a heavy weights class which has been known to bring it on so we'll see! In other depressingly awful news - my phone has been stolen from work! Great.

Sal1977 · 14/02/2014 16:30

We all chipped in and everything! Grin

Penguin13 · 14/02/2014 14:49

Happy birthday sebs! Here, we got you something Hope you have a lovely day.

Parsley2506 · 14/02/2014 14:38

Happy birthday Sebs! I got a negative hpt 2 weeks after MC, but didn't track ov that first cycle or really engage in active ttc (it kept making me cry Hmm)

I say FUCK YOU to the stats. We will get our babies!

CD25 (of 32 day cycle) and 7DPO; knackered, uncoordinated and constipated. No boob soreness, no spotting, no bloody clue!! Smile

EnglishGirlAbroad · 14/02/2014 14:08

Happy Birthday Sebs, hope you have a great day! I got a -tive hpt a week after my bleed, but I think i must have missed ov that very first cycle.

Triplespin · 14/02/2014 12:48

Dh always wants Tith after I have ovulated when I can't be arsed!! He seems to be running on a different schedule to me!!

sebs happy birthday and I know exactly how you feel. Like time is running out. But I know several over 40s who gave conceived and very easily. Hope your dh has some lovely treats for you today :)

HollyBen · 14/02/2014 12:39

Sorry about bfns. fx it's just too early

Happy birthday sebs! I am 39 (for the next few months at least Wink ) I know all the stats but I know quite a few people who have had babies into their 40s. Have a lovely day, lots of hugs with your boys and think positive x

Surely ole 50 portions needs some cranberry juice as well as trout gunning. I think if I ever managed that much tith I would retire my flowerpot and take a vow of celibacyShock I was determined to follow smep this month but wasn't well cd8 so had some tith cd9 instead. Then come cd11 couldn't be arsed. Mustered the enthusiasm cd 13 and 15. Just had a positive opk so the shagathon begins - all together now HOORAY

OttersPocket · 14/02/2014 12:01

Firstly, happy birthday sebs I'm glad you have a lovely day planned Flowers

Secondly, don't be too hard on yourself. Impossible I know, but there is still hope Smile After my mc I took lots of HPTs. I got a positive OPK two days after a real squinter on an HPT, then ov'ed two days after that.

Have a lovely day.

sebsmummy1 · 14/02/2014 11:50

Grrrr for the BFNs. I agree with the 'not over till AF appears'. After mc i know it takes a while for cycles to rebalance so at this stage you may get a positive test result later than you would suspect. Huge FX for those in limbo.

Its my birthday today and it started with me crying, which isn't the best. I am 39 now and feel like time is running out and even if i could get pregnant again the stats are higher for another mc. So i moped about a bit. Then opened my presents, hugged my boys, had some sex and feel much better. We are off out once my son wakes up and hopefully a lovely day will be had.

I tested one squinter away from a negative this morning. Not sure how long it will take for either OV or AF. Anyone remember how things went for them or did you not test till it read negative? I know its so individual so i am just looking for some outward signs that my body might be gearing up to do something.

Happy Valentine's Day girls. We may not be pregnant but we do have gorgeous men who love us and not everyone is lucky enough to say that xxx

OttersPocket · 14/02/2014 11:05

I'm with you there Baxter. CD12 for me and we've stuck to smep so far. So it's TITH for us for the next five days and (much as I love DP and tith) I really can't be bothered with it all! I'll buy a trout gun from you Grin
