The Rules...

(1) A lady may only POAS on a Friday.
(2) Friday means the day that everyone calls Friday in the time zone where you spent the night.
(3) Rule (1) does not apply to POA-OPK-S, UNLESS they are being illegitimately used as surrogate HCG detectors, in which case Rule (1) most definitely does apply
(4) Rule (1) does not apply following a BFP because if you want to waste £25 a day POADigiS that's your prerogative
(5) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady is POAS in an attempt to get a BFN to prove she can start DTD with intent
(6) Rule (1) does not apply if a lady wants for unknown reason to pee on an actual stick, like a twig or some such, if that lady is unexpectedly caught short whilst tramping in the forest looking for bears.
(7) These rules (including Rule (1)) are subject to the change at any time if the ladies of the Posifrickentivity thread decide on a whim come up with empirical evidence to prove that it is luckier to POAS on any other day of the week
(8) Violators of Rule (1) shall be subject to fish throwing.

And as a grand finale, why not pledge to NEVER POAS before 14DPO?

Ignore me Seasides - just got your pm Smile Thanks for the info - I'll check it out!

OttersPocket · 18/02/2014 10:28

Oh crapbags Sal, stupid bloody bodies.

Didn't get you pm Seasides. you might need to give it another shot.

2DPO for me today and I got a ton of ewcm this morning - what the hell is this? Paranoid DP and I have missed the boat as didn't tith last night (despite me trying). Anyone else get lots of ewcm after ov?

Seasides · 18/02/2014 09:17

Oh buttflaps Sal Angry

Hycosy referral letter came through yday, need to get std tests and then it's 12 week waiting list apparently. Was all set to hi-tail down to London for private scan but think I can wait 3 months to save £300.

Loving all the autocorrect fails! Pesticide porn Confused

Pm'ing you now otter let me know if you don't get it, not sure I've got a handle on it yet.

It seems laughable now the efforts we went to in the past to prevent pregnancy. It was as though we could fall pregnant at the drop of a hat, in my head I only had to look at a penis and I was going to be with child. Oh the irony.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 18/02/2014 09:01

I'm sorry Sal Hmm, when are our bodies just gonna get with the program!!
Kept saying to DH last night 'I just want to be pregnant, how fucking hard can it be'. There's pregnant people everywhere!! Bad mood today.

sebsmummy1 · 18/02/2014 08:53

Oh Sal, you sure it couldn't be IB? Just checked back a couple of pages and couldn't see where you were in your cycle as to whether AF was imminent or not.

What id give right now to know what was happening in my body. I think absolutely nothing but I assume at some point it will realise I am no longer pregnant and do something.

Sal1977 · 18/02/2014 08:45

Grrrr....body fail. Just started spotting as well English. My temp is still high though so when I woke got a false sense if security. Bumhugs.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 18/02/2014 07:59

:)

TeaRex · 18/02/2014 07:58

*one racing commuters on foot wins :) x

TeaRex · 18/02/2014 07:57

There don't seem to be too many people who do pass first time. It's my fault, should've been more careful, just think I'm so annoyed as everything else went so well, and to be fair my examiner was a nice guy. Oh well, have to rebook and hope it goes okay next time x
Hope everyone has a nice day today, and any

Misspositivity · 17/02/2014 22:28

Lol not a pesticide a psychic Grin

HollyBen · 17/02/2014 22:28

I failed my driving test twice tea both because I was really nervous and messed up reversing round corners who actually does this in rl? second time I had done it perfectly on the EXACT corner in my lesson before. IMHO it makes for a better driver Wink My bf passed first time and her driving scares me no end.

otters we should also be having SMEP 3rd past after positive OPK tith tonight. I similarly cannot be arsed.

Misspositivity · 17/02/2014 22:27

otters. Congrats that's amazing news. Wedding planning really helps taking your mind off TTC. Simple & quick is the way to go. We just counted up what our wedding in January cost and I think it would have covered at least 5 rounds of iVF.

tea sorry to hear about driving test. Took me 4 goes. V frustrating and expensive.
english sorry AF is poss on route.

So I am due on Wednesday and started spotting yesterday. Quite crampy so pretty sure I am out. Sigh. It is the anniversary of finding no heartbeat tomorrow. The rest of the week is anniversary of medical management. Can you believe I have been sad for a year. Maybe time for GP referral. He said he would refer me at Christmas but my friend is my gynae and she says she is happy to wait a few more months. She would like me to relax. Ha ha easier said than done.

A pesticide told me I would only have 1 child - a girl. So far correct.

OttersPocket · 17/02/2014 20:48

Aww Tea that sucks. I too failed my test first time round dues to a horrid instructor. I rebooked for a test two weeks later and passed then. Get back in that car Smile

Thanks for all the congrats everyone. Seasides, I'd be great if you could pm me. I've got a low-key venue in mind so I wonder if it's the same place?!

According to SMEP logic DP and I should be having some tith tonight (3rd day after positive opk). I'm knackered though and really can't be bothered so we'll probably give it a miss. Interestingly, I read some research over the weekend which said that in 100% of examined cases, ovulation happened with 24 hours of the LH Peak. And that in cases where ovulation happened after 24 hours of the peak being detected, no pregnancy happened. So that's my excuse for no tith this evening! I can't bloody find the research now of course....

EnglishGirlAbroad · 17/02/2014 20:45

Sorry about the driving test Tea! Big fat bugger! But you'll pass when you're a bit less stressed, don't worry! I totally fuked up my first test and only narrowly past the second!!

Don't really believe in psychics, although I did see one last year who said she could see a future abroad for me... And low and behold I'm now abroad. I've also been told by one I'll have 3 kids so here's hoping.

Brown cm has turned to red spotting, the witch is imminent. Expect her tomorrow. It does at least seem like my cycle has normalised. Got my cbfm to try this cycle and agnus castus, possibly some reflexology too. Here's to march ... WineWine

Seasides · 17/02/2014 19:05

P.s. sorry for the driving test tea, it sucks. Sounds really unfair too, not your fault :-(

Congrats otter! Our engagement was hilarious-I may have had a panic attack Confused Blush I was not cool! Got my freaking out out of the way all In one go though...we hired somewhere really low key in central Edinburgh for £300, it was lovely-can pm you the details if you're interested (aware that everyone will be getting their advice in though!)

That way madness lies I reckon sebs. I googled my horoscope a couple of times despite not believing in it in the slightest, and it could easily get addictive I think, and perhaps, as you say, give you false hope. On the other hand, fingers crossed it is coincidentally true!

Haven't booked hycosy yet-need to double check it won't influence eligibility for ivf should we need it. Have heard paying for fertility investigations can disqualify you, but not sure if that's still true. Will get it booked asap though.

Parsley2506 · 17/02/2014 18:07

tea sorry about the driving test. I failed first time too, and like Doctor I blame the horrid examiner, she was a total byatch. I do feel a bit bunged up so maybe it is an ear thing, it's gone now tho so will see what the opticians say. It was quite scary for a bit, I thought I was going blind!

sebs not really one for psychic-y stuff, don't believe in it. There's way too many people just preying on other peoples vulnerabilities, it's all about the £££ in my opinion!

sal you are ready for action now! Who will do the jabbing?

Spent this afternoon researching fertility clinics near us. So conflicted about it all - pre BFP we were pretty much resigned to getting medically assisted but now I've had a natural BFP I feel like on the one hand that we can get pg so should just relax and give it (even more) time but on the other hand it took 18 months to turn up and I lost it anyway, so perhaps we do still need help. Argh. Don't know what to do Confused

sebsmummy1 · 17/02/2014 17:47

See I have been brought up with psychics as my Mum reads Tarot and has lots of these type of friends. In my experience they have been both uncannily accurate and absolute bullshite.

But, all of them (three) that I asked the TTC question to saw me conceiving around March/April this year with one giving a wider margin of March - July. All of them saying a boy and not one of then seeing a pregnancy in January although the last psychic I asked did ask me if if had a miscarriage (at that point i hadn't).

I'm really scared I am holding these people at their word and if March and April pass me by with no pos hpt I'm going to be devastated all over again. It's worrying me and I wish I had never asked any of them.

DoctorDonnaNoble · 17/02/2014 16:35

My inner scientist won't let me do things like that.

TeaRex · 17/02/2014 16:31

Thanks doctor and sebs
Never used a psychic, but I'm the sort of person who reads a horoscope and believes it if it's good and dismisses it if it bad, you do hear of some really crazy stories though where they've been spot on so who knows, i'd be curious to hear if people have had a good experience as well :) x

sebsmummy1 · 17/02/2014 16:13

TeaRex that sucks, I'm so sorry. I think when you are already feeling sad about something you just don't have the ability to shrug off other crappy events like you would if you were happy. I don't think you are in the midst of a break down no, I think you are, like most of us here, thoroughly pissed off and hoping life will cut us a break pretty soon and bring some nice news.

I have a weird question for you all. Have any of you consulted psychics in the quest for hope whilst TTC?

DoctorDonnaNoble · 17/02/2014 15:30

TeaRex - I failed my first test due to the examiner being so intimidatingly cold and awful I was a nervous wreck! (2 years ago now) The next time I had a lovely chap who put me much more at ease. Still won't drive with DH in the car though as he thinks it's funny to joke that I'm rubbish. Sad He's such a bloke sometimes!
Due to my phone being nicked I'm currently without my tracking app so this month will be a lo-fi attempt at TTC.

TeaRex · 17/02/2014 15:23

parsley ment to say sometimes people can have problems with vision due to ear infections, happened to my mum and work colleague. Weird eyesight and then really dizzy/sick so might be worth looking into that if your eyesight test doesn't reveal a lot x

TeaRex · 17/02/2014 15:19

Oh congrats otters that's lovely! I agree with all the small and quick wedding advise lol, ours was smallish but because we were engaged for 15 months or have people lots of time to voice their opinion on how about wedding should be :/ gits.

Well failed my driving test this morning so beyond fucked off, 4 minors but 1 serious on a round about due to driver not turning right while indicating and me braking too late :( fucky fucky fuck fuck. Well to be honest I'm such a wreck at the mo I thought I'd do a lot worse (this is my think positive bit)

Crying loads at the moment, think I'm having a mini breakdown type crying, could my period be on the way? Or am I just actually having a break down?

Trout bazooka for one please.
