Allo ladies! Wondering if there are any other over 35's (apparently the age of fertility suicide, who knew?) ttc for over a year wanting to chat? If so, pour yourself some virtual wine and let the chatting commence!

No, no monitoring for me which I raised with them, they said they only monitored if there's a history of problems (???!?), I'm seeing the fc on April 4th so gonna raise it then.

mampam, hope the witch stays away, fx'ed.

stubbornhappy birthday for next week, morocco! Nice, have an amazing time, try not to think about ttc at all & have lots of Wine on behalf of us old birds. Hoping you don't need the sanitary stuff. Speak when you get back x

Aaah...signed 3 jobs off over the weekend, what bliss! I can breathe again...Time to get ready for....going to Morocco on Tues, for my 40th birthday!! Without DS! First time abroad in 5 years!! Sadly, it's not going to be my fertile period- instead it's going to be 2ww PMT time.
AF's due at the end, I'm packing lots of sanitary protection. I am not tempting fate, I'm not. Tra la la la......See you all in about 10 days! xx

mampam · 02/03/2014 19:01

Sorry to hear AF has got you ladies Sad onwards and upwards for this next cycle Thanks

I'm waiting for AF to appear. I've had really bad period pains today so it's just a matter of time I think. I didn't think I was due on for another 7-10 days but can't be sure as I've been fairly irregular since having my implant out in November.

Nottalotta your poor husband Grin

Fankletastic · 02/03/2014 18:54

Sorry, meant 'doing' not going!

Fankletastic · 02/03/2014 18:53

Are you being monitored through your clomid cycles?
I wasn't. I felt a bit like they were just leaving me to my own devices and not really interested to see what the drug was going for me. I would consider going back on it if they monitored me with blood tests and scans. I'm seeing my FC in 2 weeks to discuss next steps after my lap & dye a month ago.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/03/2014 18:44

Sorry fankle, it sucks. I'm feeling like a horrible person as doubly down due to af & friends little girl arriving today. However she had a hard time getting there so I am chuffed, but it's upsetting nonetheless.

Well the 3 of us are cycle buddies then , right ladies, we may not be able to control everything but we can try our hardest to give ourselves the best possible shot!

Fankle I also ov by myself but erratic cycles, I was worried about that too however it seems clomid can super boost your cycle to make you more fertile. I'm getting away quite easily with the symptoms comparatively. It's a tough call but one only you can make.

AF got me today too Hmm
Feeling exactly the same as you two ladies. This is cycle 24 or 25 of ttc since my miscarriage...I've almost lost count now, it's so bloody depressing.

All around me friends are getting pregnant easily and popping out babies. I feel like my life is on hold and I get so damn jealous of my friends...of anyone with a bump really.

I tried clomid for 3 months last year but I didn't like the side effects at all- the usual night sweats and mood swings but also constipation and extremely light periods. I worried that it was having a bad effect on my womb lining so I told my FC I wanted to stop. I still have 3 months of tablets left....wondering if I should give them another go. But I ovulate naturally so is there any point??

Ginger, I've seen you on the clomid thread. I may join that one myself.

Looks like we will have similar cycles this month ladies! This one was 31 days but I'm usually 30 days.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/03/2014 14:56

I'm sorry inshock, I literally feel your pain (and cramps). I too binged on a cooked breakfast & 2 cigarettes.

No way else to put it, it fucking sucks!!! Phew, glad I got that off my chest.

I propose a positive vibe. Feel free to virtually slap me, but those that af gets are fully entitled to wallow. Everyone else can support them, collectively cheer each other on & try to laugh at the TTc madness.

My march plan is epo from now to ov. Start clomid tomorrow. Opk tests from day 10 ( twice a day), DDT every second day to ov then each day for 3/4 days and cough mix from around day 9.

My friend, 40, is getting a c section today, it can happen!! We need to start seeing some bfp here!

AF got me too this morn :( so I've had the obligatory tears for the last couple of hours whilst looking up IVF (I do the same thing every month!!) followed by a mcdonalds happy meal, a coffee, now stuffing my face with a family size bag of buttons and will follow them with a glass of wine. All the things I've given up. In about an hour I'll feel even more miserable because I'll feel sick.

Sorry to hear your news Ginger I feel exactly the same, really really struggling to believe it will happen.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/03/2014 13:48

Booooo!!! Af got me, , really getting fed up now and struggling to be optimistic. Cycle 19 pan!!

How's everyone else getting on?

OP posts:
Sparrowlegs248 · 01/03/2014 22:43

Well i think optimism waxes and wanes like the moon. I have plenty now. It will be gone in 10 days time though i'm sure.....good luck to you. Have you had any input from your GP yet?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/03/2014 22:12

Hi nottalotta, that's a great effort, impressive. Hopefully it'll do the trick. . Mmmmmmm, red wine, yum.

I'm well into the 2ww but not optimistic (hopefully some of yours may rub off) for this month. AF due mon & started spotting.im ttc #1, cycle 18.

Evening all! I thought this thread had vanished.

I'm on cd9 of C10. Home alone this evening and on my 4th large glass of wine! Feelling positive this time - we have been very bad at dtd enough recently, but have managed cd 7, 8 + 9 so far!! So pretty pleased with that. I only have a 25 day cycle hence starting early. Will have to leave dh alone later as he struggled to do the job this morning, i think twice in10 hrs was all too much for him!

Hows things with everyone else?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/03/2014 20:14

No, I don't think so anyway. I take 1 tablet a day purple.

purplemurple1 · 01/03/2014 18:12

Are any of you taking the higher folic acid dose - 5mg I think it is. (recommended in the USA - but I've not looked into why.)

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/03/2014 16:13

I'm cycle 18 inshock.
It doesn't take long for the ttc madness to take hold!!!

OP posts:
TawdryTatou · 01/03/2014 12:53

I'm hoping to keep control of myself...that said, I'm just heading out for folic acid, so...Wink

Inshock73 · 01/03/2014 12:50

Hi Ginger - Which cycle of ttc are you on?

Welcome Tawdry! I started off with an if it happens it happens attitude, no I'm using opk's, given up caffeine/alcohol (don't drink much anyway) cut back on sugar... obsessed!! :)

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/03/2014 12:46

Hi tawdry!

Thanks mampam, my oh is 27th dec so I always feel a bit sorry for him.

OP posts:
TawdryTatou · 01/03/2014 12:14

Can I join?

I'll be 40 in May, and have just started trying for my dc3 and dp's first.

My older dc are 15 and 13, so it's funny to be getting back in the baby saddle, so to speak.

Goodness knows how it's going to go. We're just planning to throw caution to the wind and see what happens...

mampam · 01/03/2014 11:50

Sorry forgot to add good luck and Fx for Monday Ginger Smile X

mampam · 01/03/2014 11:48

I think I may have another 7-10 days left of the 2ww as the length of my cycle has varied since I had my implant out in November but feel like I'm building up to AF so don't think this month will be successful. If not think DH and I will give ttc a rest in March as I don't want a December baby...........I was born on NYE and know how shitty it is having a birthday so close to Christmas.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/03/2014 10:24

Hi inshock, welcome in to our coop. We seem to be cycle buddies.

Sorry to hear works so crazy stubborn

On reflection not gonna do a stats list.
