Allo ladies! Wondering if there are any other over 35's (apparently the age of fertility suicide, who knew?) ttc for over a year wanting to chat? If so, pour yourself some virtual wine and let the chatting commence!

I'm such an amateur Blush

PaulaFletch14 · 12/03/2014 20:05

Doing ok Gingerbread

Slightly apprehensive me and DP have appointment next Wednesday at Care fertility clinic for scan and semen test. Just after my miscarriage three months ago I wanted a check up. Just scared they'll tell me no chance

I don't know why when I've conceived naturally just guess I want it so much I'm scared of bad news

TawdryTatou · 12/03/2014 19:57

Argh, can someone do the maths for me please?

LMP was 22nd February. Next due 22nd March. Ish.

Usually a 25-28 day cycle.

Am feeling very PMTish. Achey boobs, bloated tum, funny taste in mouth.

Surely it's too early for pregnancy symptoms or PMT?

What's going on?Confused

Katnisscupcake · 12/03/2014 19:26

Oooh mampam, you've reminded me that this time last year before seeing the fertility consultant I was looking into acupuncture in newton abbot. Now I can give her all the information following my op etc I can go for some sessions.

Feel better now that I have a plan!!

Hope everyone else is feeling ok. Xxx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/03/2014 19:16

mampam, sensed you were a bit freaked, you've got a while to get used to it lol! Can imagine it takes a while to sink in! Submit the form & just see what happens, you have plenty of time to make choices. Even just for interview experience.

katnis, how you feeling?

How's everyone else doing?

Hi all, hope you are all ok? I think you are definitely allowed to wallow Katniss and then buy yourself a nice treat to eat on Friday after your weigh in. Have you ever tried reflexology? I have a friend who does it and swears she has got women pregnant Hmm

Ginger sorry I hadn't realised you'd asked if I was ok yesterday. Yes I am but was having a bit of a freak out. Haven't really had much time to think about it today as have had a really full on day at work. Feeling guilty too about submitting the application form......if I got offered the job I could be in a real dilemma but I guess that there's no use me worrying about something that hasn't happened. Hope you ok?

Tranquility what is preseed?

Tawdry you never know your symptoms could be a sign of something! Another week or so and you'll know Smile

Tranquilitybaby · 12/03/2014 14:28

Have you tried Preseed? Might be worth a look at.

X

Tranquilitybaby · 12/03/2014 14:27

You wallow away katnisscupcake you are allowed Hun. But try to keep positive xxxx

Katnisscupcake · 12/03/2014 11:26

If I can hang on until Friday I can have something nice then... I tend to only do the diet from Monday - Thursday... and then relax a bit at weekends.

I don't know why I feel so down this month, probably because it's been a weirdly long cycle because I wasn't well... Of course it could be that I didn't actually OV at all!!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/03/2014 10:03

Abso-f'ing-lutely! You wallow away honey, completely entitled. The diet thing does make us so much harder to cheer up eat, I've been doing ww for ages.

Katnisscupcake · 12/03/2014 10:00

Thanks Ginger, I'll have to hold out on the nice food until after my weigh-in on Friday. I think that's why it feels worse. Because I'm dieting I can't even commiserate myself with some nice food Sad. I just can't believe that two years on we've been blessed with one MC and no baby.

Am I allowed to wallow for a few days? Pretty please? Sad

Gingerbreadlady1 · 12/03/2014 09:47

Sorry you're feeling low katniss, it's rubbish this, once a month we get to feel awful. However I like to tell myself that when I get my bfp, ill look back on this time & kinda see it as a right of passage. And then ill be really ready. Don't know if that makes any sense (prob not) alternatively call a friend and go for a posh boozy lunch/ buy nice supplies for dinner/go on line shopping. You'll still feel shit but maybe a little less shit.

Feeling really down today ladies Sad. More coloured CM this morning so not long now. Plus I remembered this morning that in April it'll be 2 years since we started TTC DC#2. Sad Sad Sad

Katnisscupcake · 11/03/2014 21:03

If you go onto ebay and search ovulation tests and pregnancy tests, loads will come up. The strip ones are ultra sensitive and cheap aswell!!

Tranquilitybaby · 11/03/2014 20:39

What tests do you recommend. Thought I'd get some in for next month (think we missed the boat this month). X

Tranquilitybaby · 11/03/2014 20:39

Congrats mampam !!! Great news.

katnisscupcake keeping everything crossed for you just in case. If not get back on the folic acid as it's good for the body anyway and stop thinking about TTC and just enjoy some fun with your OH. Xxx

TawdryTatou · 11/03/2014 20:11

Cycle's bonkers these days. I reckon that these symptoms are symptoms of being hormonal and ovulating. Apart from the fat tum, which is a symptom of no exercise and too many gluten-free biscuits Grin

Katnisscupcake · 11/03/2014 20:08

I haven't taken dd to woodlands yet - but I think I will this year.

Hmmm that might be a bit soon tawdry... implantation doesn't occur until 6-10dpo and then the hcg levels need to build up. Unless you might have ovulated earlier?

TawdryTatou · 11/03/2014 19:19

Four days Blush

mampam · 11/03/2014 19:17

Tawdry sounds very promising. How far into the 2ww are you?

Katniss Men are rubbish at doing the finances in my opinion and they always say that you can't afford DC. In reality you manage because you have to - that's what us women are fabulous at doing!!! DC #4 is going to mean a new car for us or minibus or something. We're having an extension built at the moment...good job too Smile
Have you ever been to Woodlands just outside Dartmouth? A good day out, I'm sure your DD would love it there Smile

TawdryTatou · 11/03/2014 19:11

Not too soon for symptoms? I'm not sure how the maths work, as with the first two I got a BFP first go.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 11/03/2014 19:10

You okay mampam?

OP posts:
Gingerbreadlady1 · 11/03/2014 19:09

It does sound promising tawdry....

My potions were to try to sort out my irregular cycles & seemed to help but not eliminate problems. Will post it when I get home.

What ttc things are people doing? I'm gonna try pineapple this month after ov, and swigging cough mixture.

TawdryTatou · 11/03/2014 19:03

I dunno Katniss, I think it would be too early for symptoms. AF not due until 22nd March.

Am massively fat, though.

Katnisscupcake · 11/03/2014 18:59

Mampam, Pennywell is awesome. We've had the season tickets for the last 4 years (since DD was 6 months old) and she loves it. Please do spread that babydust. Although DH and I have just had a massive row (about cars of all things!!) and he's now saying we can't afford another DC. We can (and I bloody know because I'm the higher earner and I manage all the finances), but I'll let him have his whinge.

Tawdry, sounds promising to me!! Smile

Ginger, I'll be interested in seeing your list of potions aswell!!
