Allo ladies! Wondering if there are any other over 35's (apparently the age of fertility suicide, who knew?) ttc for over a year wanting to chat? If so, pour yourself some virtual wine and let the chatting commence!

Evening all,

Well I took an OV test today just in case, luckily negative but I am only CD4. I was just a bit concerned that because I OVd late last month, that I might OV early this month and don't want to miss it!! Smile

I think I'd like to have a Xmas baby because I love Xmas - but if my cycle works as normal then it should be early December, which I would prefer.

Almost seems crazy to be talking about it - but hey ho!! Smile

How are you feeling Mampam.

Good luck Ginger with the double OV!!! Grin

mampam · 18/03/2014 16:41

Bloody hell Ginger your DH must be shattered Grin Double ovulation......chance of twins? Smile Hmmmmm red wine oh well you can have my share although I think I'll still have odd small glass along the way!

Ezra ....lovely name. Fx for those Christmas babies.

Survived job interview but know I won't get the job. The activity I had to do went much better than I thought as I was dreading it. The interview was awful but at least I'll know what to expect next time.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 18/03/2014 11:41

Aww, I enjoyed reading your plans katniss, loving the name Ezra, really unusual.

I've/we've got a bit of a red wine hang over this morning. Didn't even drink that much. A bottle between us plus a vodka. Know I prob shouldn't as ovulating but it's month 19! 19!!! Wtf! So life has got to go on. Still, doing well on dtd marathon. Sat, sun, mon, tue all done Smile. Pos opk sun, mon & not checked yet today. Think we're getting a double dunt this month and ov from each ovary so double the chance yippee!

Ahhh Tawdry, don't worry if the witch turns up, have a big glass of wine and crack on with next month. We're all here with you hun. xx

See, I heard a name on here recently that I'd never thought of (even though it's a character in one of my favourite TV programmes) and if I have a boy, that's the name I'm going for.

Ezra.

I have a sister whose birthday is 23rd December and her middle name is Holly.

I imagine any child of mine born around Xmas will be gutted that their big sister has a Summer June birthday. But I would probably do a party/barbecue for the other one in the Summer at some point aswell...

Anyway, this is all pie in the sky considering I'm not actually PG!! LOL Smile

TawdryTatou · 18/03/2014 07:09

Getting AF symptoms Hmm

I know it's only the first month, but it's come as a shock. Got pg first try both times with the dc I already have. Weird to have evidence that I'm not as young as I feel.

Hmm
Tranquilitybaby · 17/03/2014 23:07

Lol so many to choose from! X

Gingerbreadlady1 · 17/03/2014 22:38

Fankletastic · 17/03/2014 21:19

Lol! I'll take a Christmas baby thanks

Tranquilitybaby · 17/03/2014 20:35

Not even counting it as first month of trying though so although a teeny bit disappointed, I think you are way more entitled to be p'd off than me katniss.

Thanks gingerbreadlady1* , didn't think if day but actually a Christmas bubba would be lovely actually. Who's having Holly and who's having Ivy? Lol x

Gingerbreadlady1 · 17/03/2014 18:42

tranquility, sorry, maybe it's Xmas babies all round x

Katnisscupcake · 17/03/2014 16:46

Sorry Tranquility - although you're showing me up by not being a drama queen about it like I was!! Wink

The advice from the fertility consultant was to abstain for 3 days prior to starting TTC for the month. So he should be Ok for now, but if you are going to DTD from CD7 for example, he should abstain from CD4 to allow three days worth of sperm to build up.

We've been DTD from CD8 in previous months but I think I just run out of steam because it's too far from OV for me (I usually OV between CD14-15) so I think this month I will recommend that he abstains from CD7 and then we'll start from CD10 and do CD10, CD12 then CD13, CD14 and CD15. Anything before CD10 will be wasted offerings!!! LOL

Tranquilitybaby · 17/03/2014 14:31

AF arrived this morning, so onto next week when I should ovulate (around CD10). Was v unlikely this month anyway so not too upset by it.

The advice seems to change all the time but is it right now that DH shouldn't abstain throughout AF time. The advice used to be he should to increase sperm count. I feel out of tough! It's been 10 years since I was last pregnant! X

Katnisscupcake · 17/03/2014 14:02

I looked very PG at 12 weeks with DD Mampam, but my tummy was solid/bloated. It was really odd!!

I hope you don't get too sick... x

mampam · 17/03/2014 13:21

Fingers crossed for you Tranquility

Grin Grin Grin at the new clothes Katniss and hope your day at work is ok??

I will stick around on this thread if that's ok? I find the ante-natal threads way to fast paced. Feeling fine thanks, nauseous feelings have gotten less and less (which I know is the lull before the storm as I've been horrendously sick with the others) and pains not as bad. The only thing is that I look really bloated but hopefully no one will notice on my already chubby belly Grin

Katnisscupcake · 17/03/2014 12:14

Sad Tranquility but it's not over until she arrives!! Smile

x

Tranquilitybaby · 17/03/2014 09:32

New clothes are always good katniss! :)

I've been naughty and tested again this morning (CD26) but bfn as I knew it would be. Strong AF type pains for a good few hours now but no sign of AF yet.

X

Katnisscupcake · 17/03/2014 08:54

Morning all,

Hope you had a lovely weekend enjoying the nice weather.

Tawdry, good luck!!

Tranquility, you didn't upset me Smile. The 'acupuncture' lady told me that I needed to go weekly for the best benefit and I can't afford that so I probably won't bother for now. So I bought myself some new clothes instead!!Grin

So, new day new month (fertility wise) so today is CD3. I am going to start taking my Centrum Pregnancy Care in the hope that this will be the month. I haven't been taking Folic Acid so now is the time to start.

Fankle, you definitely made me feel more positive about my post-lap and dye fertility chances!! Smile

Mampam, how are you feeling hun? I really hope you stick around with us. I know it's tempting to jump onto an Ante-Natal thread and leave Conception behind, but with my PG with DD, we all stayed on our conception thread (literally for a year or two) and were there through the highs, the lows and the eventual births of our LOs.

I tend to want to stay with the friendly group because let's face it, TTC is one of the scariest things to go through and who better to share the subsequent PG with than those who have gone through it all with you!! Grin

Having a shite day today. Realised that I've dropped a huge clanger of epic proportions at work and it happens to coincide with my monthly performance review that takes place today!!

TawdryTatou · 16/03/2014 22:09

Gulp Grin

Thanks all!

Tranquilitybaby · 16/03/2014 21:34

Good luck Tawdry xx

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/03/2014 20:25

Ooooooo! Good luck tawdry!!

OP posts:
mampam · 16/03/2014 19:48

Good Luck Tawdry I'll keep everything crossed for you. I meant to tell DH in a more exciting way other than "can you see a really faint line on this or is it just my imagination?". Poor DH had no idea what was going on as I hadn't even told him I was doing a test Grin

TawdryTatou · 16/03/2014 19:01

Got a couple of Clearblues nestling under my knickers. I'm already thinking of cute ways to tell dp - but I should stop, because that way madness lies.

Glad you're going for it. Exciting times :)

mampam · 16/03/2014 18:58

Thanks Tawdry Would really love the job so I'm going to go for it!!

I think you should test on Tuesday Smile you never know. Have you got a FR ready just in case you see a faint line on a cheapy one?!! (that's what I did). Good luck x
