Allo ladies! Wondering if there are any other over 35's (apparently the age of fertility suicide, who knew?) ttc for over a year wanting to chat? If so, pour yourself some virtual wine and let the chatting commence!

Ooh...going radge in cancun Ginger - sounds quite delightful! Ya wee radge! (Am reading Skagboys by Irvine Welsh ATM so can't resist a bit of scots banter).

Can't remember who said earlier in the week about wanting to plan a big holiday to Asia..? Well anyway, fwiw I'd say just go for it. We did it over Christmas and I don't regret it for a minute. We did a 3 week tour from Singapore through Malaysia and into Thailand. We planned it over Christmas and new year because I was dreading another festive season with family and still no good news to share. As much as I love our niece and nephew I was worried I would crack under the sadness. The trip was the perfect tonic- full on, adventurous backpacking, making friends with other travellers, getting drunk on beaches, trekking in mountains, eating and drinking whatever I wanted and experiencing NYE in Bangkok.

DO IT NOW WHILE YOU HAVE THE CHANCE LADIES!!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 09/05/2014 21:33

Lol! I'm planning to go radge in Mexico anyhow!!!! I've to call next week, the receptionist is gonna talk to dr about it all. Wish I could speak to a bloody dr rather than receptionist. Be very keen to hear how it goes for you, think that's a brilliant plan annie .

I'm going to Spire Murrayfield Hospital for an initial consultation meeting with the consultant there costs £195 but need to speak to someone. I also looked at Glasgow Centre for Reproductive Medicine which has a good reputation and same consultant works at GRI. I have family in Edin I could stay with so that's why I chose there. There is a 6-9 month waiting list if I got referred for IVF on NHS but my 41st birthday is in 2 weeks so my instincts are to go private.

The 100mg did the trick for me and I had no monitoring. It's scary though and you might go a bit radge in Mexico. Difficult one Hmm

Gingerbreadlady1 · 09/05/2014 20:57

I think they want to try other ov inducing drugs, can't remember, metformin maybe? Problem with the 100mg is I will be on hol on day 12 so they can't scan me annie. Plus if 50mg is making me ov what's the point? (on cycle 5 currently). Kinda had enough so my plan is same as you, finish clomid (will be 6 cycles total) then maybe ivf, not sure. Allegedly I've been referred to gri so may see what happens there first. I'm getting impatient! Feel like something else must be wrong with so long & no bfp....

Where you going for open day? I'm thinking of booking June open day at hope(nuffield) and gcrm Grin.

AnnieHoo · 09/05/2014 20:46

Oo Ginger that's exciting. The 100mg might be the boost you need. Combined with luxury hot adult only holiday..... Woop woop lookin good!

Is this your last round? What is the next step if round 4 doesn't work?

I've been researching IVF today too at GCRM or Spire Edinburgh. I booked an initial consultation in a few weeks time. Plan to give Clomid one more try then go for ivf. Grin

Gingerbreadlady1 · 09/05/2014 19:37

There's a list at bottom page of all emoticons, that's what I use.

Well today I have been researching ivf clinics in Europe, bought b6 and ordered progesterone cream to see if that helps with lp. Also randomly got called by gp with clomid prescription, double dose. Called fc, they advise doubling, I have only 1 month left on clomid, seem to be ov on current dose (7dpo prog of 28 & 29) and pretty much no periods (it thins the lining). Also will be on hol on day 12 & they'd want to scan me. Really not convinced they know what they're doing....

Not sure how quietly we're nesting in shock Smile

I'm just hoping DP doesn't start to think it's the norm Spinning there's only a small window when just cracking on it with it is acceptable :)

I've been to Cancun Ginger loved it! Very jealous!!

Pleased for you Patch once you know what you're playing with you can work out your next moves.

Tilly to get a smiley click on the colon and then the bracket, a sad face is colon and the other bracket, I don't know how to get a laughing face or a wink they never work for me.

Inshock73 · 09/05/2014 19:18

Stubborn, love the fertility branch, hope it works Grin

Gingerbreadlady1 · 09/05/2014 11:20

Mmmm baileys cheesecake ......

Loving the idea of dunking biscuits in ears lol!

Good luck with scan mampam x that condition sounds really rough, hoping it eases off for you, think my mum had that with us. Suppose we all concentrate so much on bfp we forget its the beginning of it all!

stubborn love your posts, always make me laugh. If you get a bfp ill have a leaf please! X

I've been exercising & tracking calories on fitness pal ap for three weeks, I've bloody put on a pound!!!! Wtf!!!! Feel clothes are bit looser but demoralising. Got 2 wks at amazing luxury all inclusive resort in 2 wks time & I'm already the heaviest I've been. Not good. But still healthy bmi (also keeping eye on it for ivf)

annie that's great about the tests, I would take comfort in that too. You are doing amazingly, you are a very strong bird xx

LOL Annie! The romance of it all

AnnieHoo · 09/05/2014 10:49

LOL Inshock!

Last time I got pregnant i said to DH at 2am "Would you mind hurrying this up, I've got a ferry to catch in 3 hours".

Inshock73 · 09/05/2014 10:37

Irma I even found myself uttering the words "Don't worry just go for it it doesn't matter if it's quick" I never thought I'd hear myself say that :)

mampam · 09/05/2014 10:28

Scan not til this afternoon so will update this evening.

On the subject of diets, when I had my booking appointment mw told me I needed to join sw or see a nutritionist.....I politely declined. Admittedly I am overweight but I was for dc's 2 &3 and had no problems. Feeling like I do at the moment with the hyperemesis it is the last thing on my mind. I have actually lost weight with throwing up so much and barely eating.

Tranquilitybaby · 09/05/2014 10:12

In my year?! iPhone fail. My tea!

Tranquilitybaby · 09/05/2014 10:11

irma77 · 09/05/2014 10:08

Good morning everybody.

Annie, I'm with you with the diet! Due to PCOS, I've been eating low GI and exercising for 3 months now. My cycles still all over the place, but I'm losing weight slowly which it suppose to help. Will see. I'm controlling my calorie intake wit My Fitness Pal and it's helping me a lot.

Stubborn, I need to get me some sycamore, you have me all intrigued now Smile .

Inshock, the things we have to do, right?

Ginger, thanks for the article. Two days ago DP was joking about getting a turkey baster for similar purposes Confused .

Fankle, great to hear you're doing well!

Mampam, good luck today!

Inshock73 · 09/05/2014 09:54

Karmanna13 · 08/05/2014 20:36

I'll join you for the dieting! Started this week and 4lb off but suppose it's always quicker in the beginning. I'm thinking if I get down to my ideal weight then I'm bound to fall pregnant cause of sod's law, and put it all back on again! [Grin]
