Allo ladies! Wondering if there are any other over 35's (apparently the age of fertility suicide, who knew?) ttc for over a year wanting to chat? If so, pour yourself some virtual wine and let the chatting commence!

I should add here that my mum doesn't know we're ttc...

stubbornstains · 06/04/2014 19:32

Oh dear, am losing my mind.....Sad

I have had loads of symptoms the last few days. Very sore boobs, PMT gone away (this is just what it did last time I got pg- started then disappeared), feelings of nausea, even lost my taste for wine a bit Shock, lots of vaginal discharge (TMI, sorry), metallic taste in mouth...

To the point where I really became quite sure I was pg, but was holding off on telling DP.

Then we went over to a friend's for lunch, and I discovered I was spotting Sad. So sad, it felt difficult to hold it together as we went for a walk. I confessed to DP what was going on. Came home and the spotting's stopped. Still some cramping though. DP made some coffee and the smell made me feel sick. DP says he'll drop by Superdrug and get me a test tomorrow ( he works in town).

AF due on Tuesday, officially.

To make matters worse, my mum called up this evening. She has a strange skill- she is Scary Pregnancy Spotting Lady. She has freaked several of my friends out by telling them they're pregnant before they've made it official. This evening she said- and she never says this- "Got any news?" in a significant tone. Which freaked me right out.

Ohhhh Godddd......if it wasn't for the symptoms driving me mad it would be fine, I could put it out of my head...Sad

Hi all,

Really sorry that the witch turned up spinning.

Well done ginger on winning the Grand National!!

I love pamper parties tranquility, glad it went well!!

7 or 8dpo today. No twinge or symptoms at all. I also have a stinking cold and for the first time in 2 years on the 2ww, I decided to take some night nurse. I've avoided it every time I've been ill and I've felt rubbish and not been pg. I just can't keep putting myself through that and have just taken what I wanted. I have avoidebuprofen thoughts because apparently that prevents implantation.

We've had movie afternoon today. 3 different types of crisps, popcorn, party rings and roly's fudge. All accompanied by 'frozen' which we all really enjoyed.

Hope everyone has had a nice weekend. Off to pennywell farm tomorrow. Bought dd some new waterproofs yesterday and I think we''ll need them!!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 06/04/2014 17:39

Popping in for a lurk...have been awol for a bit.

Hope the old birds are all doing ok and staying sane...a couple of new ladies on here

Your cupcakes sound divine KEgirl - I find cooking and baking is a lovely therapeutic thing to do to be more 'present'. But then you must eat the lovely cakes...which is a mixed blessing. My next plan is to take up sewing with the lovely new sewing machine I got for my birthday (yes, now that I'm 35 I really should learn to sew and make things...what, I do not know!).

Ginger how you doing girl? Are you gearing up for another marathon shagfest? I'm on CD5 so still got a while to go before the serious action starts. Anyone else getting bored of this merry-go-round?

Tranquilitybaby · 03/04/2014 22:35

Good luck stubborn xx

stubbornstains · 03/04/2014 21:23

Oh crap, I meant Tuesday (grrrr!)

It wouldn't be so bad if you didn't get any weirdy symptoms- there'd be nothing to wonder about IYSWIM....

Tranquilitybaby · 03/04/2014 21:05

Pmsl stubborn you got it in one!! It's going to be he'll for me as I get sore, achey boobs, sometime lightheadedness from ovulation onwards most months so I won't have a clue!

Ordered some Superdrug tests today, they're supposed to be sensitive aren't they?

spinningirl10 · 03/04/2014 19:36

Haha stubborn, love your list of bfp/af symptoms, so true!!

I'm 11dpo and got a bfn this morning. No different symptoms to every other month but I'll continue to poas until af arrives Grin good luck to everyone else in the 2ww.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 03/04/2014 19:32

Lol!

(Yells)

Oh yes, oh yes indeed.....Here we go: after intensive research I have compiled.....Stubborn's definitive guide to symptom spotting:

Clear and definite early signs of pregnancy:

Sore boobs
Bloated tummy
Eating half a dish of rhubarb crumble in one go
Feeling homicidal towards one's nearest and dearest
Feeling spinny- headed
Having cramps
Feeling tearful

Clear and definite signs that you have raging PMT, and your period will be arriving any day:

Sore boobs
Bloated tummy
Eating half a dish of rhubarb crumble in one go
Feeling homicidal towards one's nearest and dearest
Feeling spinny- headed
Having cramps
Feeling tearful

Tranquilitybaby · 03/04/2014 17:42

Ooh the cupcakes sound lovely!! Yum.

I know it's so slow isn't it? I don't feel any different at all and only remember having hot flushes with my last two, that was it I think. X

KEGirlOnFire · 03/04/2014 17:14

Evening all,

First batch of coffee cupcakes done for my sister's coffee shop, vanilla cupcakes still to decorate and she's picking them up at 6pm - eek!!! Luckily they're all made and my mixer is super-quick at doing the buttercream so shouldn't take me too long. Enough time to pop on to MN and say hello!!

Hello!!

I know what you mean Tranquility, I'm only on 4DPO and already I am thinking "oooh, my boobs are sore today" when my logical brain is saying "IMPLANTATION DOESN'T EVEN HAPPEN BEFORE 6DPO AND EVEN THE HORMONE LEVELS ARE TOO LOW TO MEAN ANYTHING!!!!". I think I'm just losing my mind!!

Waves to Mampam and Ginger.

Hope everyone else is OK!! Smile
