Allo ladies! Wondering if there are any other over 35's (apparently the age of fertility suicide, who knew?) ttc for over a year wanting to chat? If so, pour yourself some virtual wine and let the chatting commence!

lifehasafunnywayofhelpinguout · 17/04/2014 12:30

Just to report A.F turned up on Tuesday morning. At least that's more practicing for next month (big smile). I always like to find a positve. I'm too lazy to look over the thread so if we have any B.F.P congratulations and if anyone else has been visited by the witch sorry to hear that. xx

Tranquilitybaby · 16/04/2014 18:31

I'm feeling more positive today, back to TTC from Sunday hopefully. Not buying anymore OPKs, we're just going to go for shagging ever other day instead lol. ;) DH won't complain at all i'm sure!

Hi inshock

X

Kerry1708 · 16/04/2014 15:32

I bought some pregnancy tests from eBay dirt cheap they arrived today don't know how reliable they are but I'm well prepared as I'm totally impatient and a poas obcessive! This ttc malrky has actually turned me into an obsessed nutter and it's only month 2 god help me!

Not sure how to add an emoticon :(

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/04/2014 15:21

They're so cheap on amazon, like £5 for 30 or something like that, as are preg tests. Plus added bonus of not getting embarrassed by bulk ttc purchases Easter Wink (loving Easter emoticons as you can see...)

Kerry1708 · 16/04/2014 14:48

I'm totally shagged out! Lol

Think your right, I only used both as I went on a shopping spree after my miscarriage and bought supra drugs entire pregnancy related range! I've bought so many pregnancy tests I may need to use a disguise next time as I'm getting embarrassed now! Ha

Will deffo look on Amazon for next month, or I'll need to re-mortgage at this rate :)

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/04/2014 14:13

kerry one brand may be more sensitive than the other? Think I'd stick with one type only for consistency, super drug seem good for you.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/04/2014 14:01

kerry you must be shagged out lol! Def think you've covered all the bases, good work! Pos opk on sun/mon prob due to catching the lh surge on way up and way down. I've been buying my opk on amazon as much cheaper than online.

Yeah, I'm in exactly the same mindset. Living like a nun hasn't got me a bfp, can't do that for ever so have relaxed my self imposed rules. Having a drink when I want, the odd fag etc.i tried reflexology this month, wasn't convinced. Also had a massage. Trying to work on general stress levels. Also started back at the gym (which is horrific ).

Thanks Keogirl I'm feeling good thanks, I'm ovulating or have I think!

Ginger I have been using OPK's I alternate between supadrug and CBDigital, and watching my CM, on Saturday I was CD10 I did a CBD and got a negative, so Sunday I did a Supadrug and it was possitive, then Monday morning I did a CBD and got static smiley face, I was a bit suprised it wasn't flashing as Saturdays was negative, I got a positive supasrug yesterday and also today but a negative CBD so I'm a little confused.

I did get ovulation type pains both sides on Monday so I'm guessing I ovulated yesterday! We DTD Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and yesterday so do you think I'm in with a good chance??? Incidentally CM hasn't dried up yet so I'm assuming I'm still fertile, poor DP he's knackered and I've summonsed him home early just to get one more in! Ha

Inshock73 · 16/04/2014 13:28

and if I fancy a cider I'm drinking it!! :)

Inshock73 · 16/04/2014 13:26

Hi Ginger I've had a couple of interviews but no joy yet. There's quite a lot around at the moment so hoping to get something soon. Funny you should say you've chilled out a bit, after my numerous tests, most recent one being a scan to check out a little fibroid I have, uterus lining and ovaries, I've been told again that on paper there's no reason for it not to happen so to relax and reduce stress levels - easier said than done.

That said I'm feeling very rebellious this month :) after 9 months of no caffeine (apart from the occassional very rare latte), virtually no alcohol, watching what I eat etc etc....this month if I fancy a latte I'm having it!! If I fancy chocolate I'm eating it!! This job hunting malarky has made me rebel, I can't commit to everything at the same time so I'm relaxing a little for the sake of my sanity.

Says me who's now paying for acupuncture every two weeks in the hope it will work... :)

KEGirlOnFire · 16/04/2014 11:37

Oh, in answer to your question, I've ordered the Royal Blue one in the bigger size but also they do the same one in Black & White which looks stunning (on the model - LOL), so I've ordered that one aswell. But didn't order any others.

I've also ordered loads from Next to see what they're like. A lot more expensive though - one of them is £195!!

KEGirlOnFire · 16/04/2014 11:31

Ginger, yes I work from home. I have to admit that I am quite focused when I'm in my office. But I do have my tablet next to my Laptop and am invariably watching something on Netflix while I'm working, otherwise I would be in silence all week!! Other than my teleconferences.

I know what you mean about being fine at the beginning of the 2ww and then the mood slowly darkening as time goes on... Feeling it every month... Sad

Hope you're Ok!! I'm hoping to start my reflexology soon. The lady has said that she'll teach me to do it myself aswell so I can do it every day during the time I need it...

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/04/2014 08:45

????

I'd never get anything done that should say tut tut....

Morning everyoneEaster Smile loving that old birds reappearing on the thread! Hi inshock, so glad were cycle buds. Any luck with the job hunting? Any interviews? No symptoms, very chilled also mainly cause I'm now convinced I'm not gonna get knocked up with some serious science so resigned to it all really. However, and a big however, ill get increasingly more hopeful as 2ww goes on then obligatory dark moods when AF comes. Cheery cheery lol!

kerry you'll find a wealth if ttc info available from fellow old birds. Are you doing any cycle monitoring?

kegirl you working today hon? You work from home I think, lucky you, although I'd get nothing done. Have you re ordered your 3 dresses in diff size?

Morning all,

Welcome back ladies who have had a break from the thread for a bit! Big waves!! Grin

Tranquility, my AF hasn't been heavy but has been really painful for a lot longer than it normally is! Horrid. Also, I feel the same way as you about age, but mine is 40!! Yuck... Sad

Hope everyone is feeling Ok today.

x

PS: Kerry, glad you decided to stay with us hun. Hope you're feeling Ok today.

Inshock73 · 16/04/2014 08:16

Hi everyone I'm popping back! Haven't been on here for a couple of weeks, buried beneath job hunting madness thanks to recent redundancy.

Ginger I'm your 2ww buddy again this month :) AF due a week on Thursday too. Are you symptom spotting yet? :) Bizarrely I've been so wrapped up in job hunting I'm really relaxed about it this month.

Waving a friendly hello to all the new people who have joined in the last couple of weeks. Having had a chance to read all the recent postings yet but looking forward to doing that later when I've finished yet another job app.

I had my second acupuncture appt on Saturday with a fertility acupuncturist, not sure if it will do anything but hoping it will. As a newbie to acupuncture I'm loving it!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 16/04/2014 07:32

Do I have a cycle bud this month to share the madness of the 2ww? AF due a week on thurs....

Tranquilitybaby · 15/04/2014 22:43

Hi andrelax lovely story :)

kegirl sorry to hear she got you too. Onto next month together eh?

To add insult to injury I've had a really painful, heavy AF so far too. :( I didn't want to be 37 before having no. 3 either bit will be now, silly but I had it in my head that I wanted to be 36!

Tranquilitybaby · 15/04/2014 22:40

Sorry girls had a little break from it all for a few days. Back now and off to catch up with the other posts x

Kerry1708 · 15/04/2014 18:25

Thanks ladies, im sorry for your loses and as you say we are all here for different reasons and I really do understand the emotional roller coaster we all seem to be on.

When I discovered I was pregnant in December it was a big shock, my partner had fertility tests done some years back with his first wife and he had a low sperm count, so we never used protection, I was diagnosed with fibroids in 2010 so for 3 years we just assumed it never happened due to all of those reasons plus our ages, then the shock in December came we were so happy as my partner has no children so thought he would never get the chance, sadly it was not to be hence my absolute obsession with actually now trying. The good news is we know it can happen the bad news is I don't feel I have another 3 years left for it to happen plus I am also very scared of another miscarriage not to mention the other worries us older mums face, however my overwhelming need for another baby outweighs everything and I will give it my best shot!

So here's it hoping we can help one another along the way on our ttc journey.
Kerry xx

KEGirlOnFire · 15/04/2014 14:51

Hi Fankle,

I think it's almost worse when you know you've got no chance, so I totally understand why you feel so deflated - it must feel like a month long 2ww with no hope at the end of it. I really hope that you OV late.

I'm looking out at the lovely sunshine and wishing I was out in it with DH and DD. But we've had to split our holidays so that we can cover childcare. We've got the half-term week in May off together but that's all this year.

Talking about buying more tests Fankle, I am going to buy some more HPT tests aswell. I use the IC ones and every month when I use one, I swear I see a really faint line. I need to get some better ones because it builds up my hopes every month - I think it's the die underneath showing through but I find myself taking them out of the bin and staring at them, convinced that there is a line... Sad Then AF comes to prove that it's my eyes fooling me... Sad

Anyway, back to it.

Catch you later ladies. x
