wiltingfast · 07/07/2014 18:49

ShockShockShockGrin #6!!!!

Last month I had faint lines all week then v last opk was strong. Jusging by af I think I actually ov'd e days later.

Have bought a pile of amazon cheapies fx they'll be lucky for me Grin

jazzyjenbo · 07/07/2014 18:26

Started testing on day 11 all hav been - (not even a hint of a line in test window), just tested about 1/2 hr ago and a definite line in test window but not as dark as control (so test reads that it counts as a -) but i think i'll count as a + as its a line!!
Ment to be at peak time now neway and entering 2ww from wed ish
A friend in RL who knows i am trying again collared me at baby group this AM to say she is trying aswell but doesnt want to tell ne1 else, b nice if she catches at the same time as me. But wait for it.. This is ttc #6 for her Shock... Oldest is 19 youngest about 6 x

wiltingfast · 07/07/2014 00:42

Aw don't worry, one of those horrible things, isn't it. Was only 5+3, had barely done the test and told dh.

Af seems to have arrived tonight properly anyway. Ah well, am drinking a glass of vino which is helping!

How are you getting on with the opks?

jazzyjenbo · 06/07/2014 16:56

Well i thought i was pregnant but then af arrived when it should of so put it down to just illness etc, then by by nxt af i was feeling horrendous so took a test which was positive.. When i went for 12 week scan i was 16 weeks.... Turns out that first af was actually loosing a twin, when i had my son there was evidence of a twin pregnancy.
Sorry to hear about the MC, i havnt read back at the whole of this thread so sorry i didnt realise, how many weeks were u? My loss in jan was at 10 weeks.. One of my cycles since was 40 days compared with 29-30 usual x

wiltingfast · 06/07/2014 13:13

Really?! I tested + straight away on mine. It was a v negative negative tho, no hint of a line at all. My cycle used to be v regular 28 days but I had a mc in May which is probably still screwing it up...

jazzyjenbo · 06/07/2014 11:41

Any sign of af though wilting? How long r ur usual cycles? I didnt test + until 8 weeks with my first.

wiltingfast · 06/07/2014 09:12

Gah, bfn here :( cd 34 feck's SAKE I feel pissed OFF.

jazzyjenbo · 02/07/2014 23:35

Arr ok oif,
My ds had his nursery induction today, he loved it.
Cd13 for me and i decided to start with the opks today...bfn (my app says friday so lets see if thats correct)
My cycles seem to if changed since the mc, i used to be approx 30-31 days, now 28-29 days. So maybe i've not been catching the little eggy!
Neway watched obem tonight (my fav programme) just makes me want it more again!!

oif · 02/07/2014 20:03

jazzy - no, not reception just yet for DD as we are in Scotland; they only start school at 5 here.

thanks for the opk info, think I will get into that next month. CD14 here, I guess I am due to ovulate around now, but DP only home late tomorrow night, and coming back with a guest who is staying the weekend, so very slim chance again this month sadly I think.

Passthebiscuitspls · 01/07/2014 12:42

Wilting & Jazzy I used the Tesco ones and they did show a clear positive at the right time. Although I find it soooo hard to not drink for 4 hrs that I was never certain they were working properly as I think I drank too much! And yes, I def didn't want to share my addiction with DH as wanted no pressure so temping wouldn't have been for me as he'd have seen me.
Good luck ladies! The 2ww is the worst!! It's all consuming sometimes isn't it? Xx

wiltingfast · 30/06/2014 23:50

Well I've definitely noticed other posters saying they never get a strong positive, some seem to get it 2 days running and I saw someone recently who said she got pg the month she didn't seem to peak at all so experience does seem v varied! If you have a pile of cheapies I'd def just start poas Grin and see how it goes.

Some people temp as well but that has never appealed to me. At least I can poas in private and keep my obsession to myself Grin

Cd 28 but only 9 dpo.. Going to be a long week here...

jazzyjenbo · 30/06/2014 21:47

I bought sum cheapy ones from home bargains a couple of months back and tested ever day for a week when i was ment to b fertile and never saw a definite +... Maybe i didnt test at the right time or they were crap!!Hmm
I'm ment to b in fertile window from friday.. Wondering if i should buy afew packs and test everyday from not (just dont want to get obsessed)

wiltingfast · 29/06/2014 23:12

Aw sorry Jazzy Blush, I didn't realise. Hope you get your bfp soon.

I've 21 m between my two also and youngest has turned 3 so much bigger gap.

I use the opks, find they seem to work even though I have pcos in the background.

I used the smiley face ones the first time and they are v easy. Just remember to pee in the evening, your morning wee is too concentrated or something.

I used Tesco ones this month and they were much harder to read. I kept peering at them and wondering if the faint line was a +. However, the positive when it came 5 days late was unmistakeable really, v strong. So worked ok too Grin

jazzyjenbo · 29/06/2014 21:00

Oif, sounds like we hav very similar dc's... Mine are both just a couple of months younger than yours, my ds starts school nursery in sept will urs start reception?

I'm interested in the opks aswell? I'm using the ovia app to track my cycles but am thinking i need to try somethin else. Any info, etc would b very helpful. X

oif · 29/06/2014 20:16

ah sorry to hear af got you JJ. I also have a 21mo gap between dc1 and dc2 and would have liked a shorter gap between 2 and 3 - ds was 2 in April so we're looking at at least 3 years now.

Still, I think there are probably lovely things (and less lovely things) about every conceivable age gap! It will be quite different having a baby when there is an older sibling who understands it (DD is 4 next month so will be quite grown up if and when another baby makes it on to the scene), rather than just an older baby around.

wilting - fx for a March baby for you!

btw - people who use opks - I've never tried them but would be useful this month due to DP not being here and possibly missing fertile period - are they easy to get to grips with, and do you have to start using them at a certain point in your period or can you just test whenever?

jazzyjenbo · 29/06/2014 16:26

#3 was the mmc, we only hav 2 at home, so technically this is our 4th time ttc but still awaiting 3rd success x

wiltingfast · 29/06/2014 15:35

Ooo, ttc #4 jj! That IS exciting Grin sorry to hear about your mmc. x

Passthebiscuitspls · 29/06/2014 13:05

Well done Missing, that's brilliant news! Congrats!

Fingers crossed for everyone due a BFP/AF this week, hopefully we'll have some more good news! ;)
Xx

jazzyjenbo · 29/06/2014 11:55

Thata exciting w, i hope your poas by friday Smile and u get the bfp!

jazzyjenbo · 29/06/2014 11:53

I've been trying since my mmc in january so about 5 mths. I was 10 weeks.
Ds took 6 mths of trying
Dd i dont really know as we just didnt prevent after ds... I conceived her the week of my sons 1st bday.
#3 was also not trying/not preventing.. Af returned when dd was 9 mths old and #3 conceived when she was 16 mths so took about 7 mths to conceive. Like i say though they were all late autumn or winter conceptions so that might b a sign!! Maybe i'm more fertile in the winter lol xWink

wiltingfast · 29/06/2014 10:31

Congrats MM Grin when do you start? Lucky you can leave ttc for a while, I feel under terrible pressure!

Sorry your af arrived jj :( are you trying long? My dc are 5 and 3, ideally I'd have liked to be having dc 3 this autumn but took longer for dh to come around that I'd have liked!

Anyway, my af would usually be due mon but I ov'd about 5 days late so I reckon fri is probably more likely. No idea if I feel pg or not, I used to think I'd "know" but no more!

jazzyjenbo · 28/06/2014 22:56

Whos nxt to poas? Hope its our month in july x x

jazzyjenbo · 28/06/2014 22:55

Congratulations on the job aswell Grin

jazzyjenbo · 28/06/2014 22:53

Sorry went quiet ladies, busy finishing my hols....
Af arrivedConfused nevermind always nxt month..
My ds is 3.5 (4 in oct) and dd is almost 2 (28/7).. 21 mth age gap and would if been 24 mth age gap from #2-#3 which is what we wanted!
Neway my nxt fertile window should start nxt fri 4th july which happens to be my 5th wedding anniversary.
So lets wait and see, going off my last 3 pregnancies i conceive in the winter... Ds was new year, dd was bonfire night and #3 was remembrance day so mite hav to aim for halloween or xmas!! Lol
