Hi all how's everyone doing?

I got the letter threw the post today regarding the Down syndrome testing & baby has less than 1 in 10000 chance of having it so good news from me Smile

Also can't stop eating toasties with lots of cheese ham and tomato in, I'm going to become a whale by the end if I keep eating them lol....

Ooh you should start DTD today! I started day 10 and I've the feeling that it's that particular 'deed' that stuck, even though my smiley face didn't come 'til a day or two later... So yes possibly further along than I think but could only be by a couple of days. I think you meant me, not DG, although you said DG in yr post...? If you didnt' mean me though, apologies!

FX for you. Sending strong conception vibes your way....

wiltingfast · 08/04/2014 13:37

I'm on cd 10 DG, going to try the opk tomorrow. Really hope it works out this cycle.

Am so glad your pg seems to be working out! Maybe you're a bit further along than you think?

MabelMay · 08/04/2014 05:20

DG - sorry not to respond sooner - we were away for four days. Congratulations! Grin Great news am so pleased for you - what a lovely relief. Are you going public with the pregnancy now?

wilting - I used the OPK kit for my last two cycles before PG too. Hope it works out for you as well. Where are you in your cycle now?

Tranquility - Are you in your 2ww at the moment? I think a big age gap is lovely for the older kids. I was 9 when my little brother was born (all my other siblings older than me so the gap was 9 years like yours) and I absolutely adored him. My mum says I was a really handy babysitter too - happy to change pooey nappies and feed him etc. Good luck!

I've still got 2 weeks until the 12 week scan. Feeling much less symptomy now. No nausea and not half as tired, although boobs still big and sore. Just hoping it's because I've reached that point a bit earlier where the really full-on early PG symptoms subside. I've never known time to go as slowly as it appears to be going in these first 3 months of preggers-ness!

wiltingfast · 06/04/2014 21:09

Aw that is great :) so glad for you. Hopefully the blood tests will be positive too.

I'm fine, have purchased an opk kit for this round!

DGLLB · 05/04/2014 13:14

Hi wilting, scan went really well baby was very active & wouldn't keep still, she eventually managed to do all the measurements and looked for Down syndrome, they put me back 4 days so baby's due 20th October, I had the blood test straight after and will hear the results of this within 7-10 days, how are you feeling?

How did it go DG? Thinking of you!

Tranquilitybaby · 03/04/2014 08:09

DGLLB · 03/04/2014 07:11

Good luck tranquility keep us posted!

It's maybe worth a try wilting, even to relax you Smile

Iv had a lot of stretchy achy pains Mabel, try not to worry to much easier said than done I know....

Well today's the day of my 12 week scan I'm just a little bit excited & nervous, wish me luck ladies Smile

Hi tranquility - good luck! How old are your two DCs?

Wilting - What I noticed when I did the acupuncture is that I had quite a bit more EWCM in the build up to ovulation than I'd had in previous months. It's also incredibly relaxing - so if nothing else it puts your head in quite a nice space. There's definitely no harm in trying.

I'm fine. Had a small moment of anxiety yesterday when cramps were a little stronger than usual stretching feelings - but they seem to have passed. I'm so bloody tired so much of the time - my evenings are just me collapsed on the sofa. Quite looking forward to getting my energy back at some point. I think the progesterone supplements I'm taking (on recommendation of my ob-gyn) are definitely exacerbating the tiredness.

Time still dragging (8+5 weeks now)

DG thinking of you and imminent scan.

wiltingfast · 31/03/2014 23:09

Good luck tranquillity!

My sis has been recommending it too Mabel, might try it...

How are you getting on?

Oh that's rubbish wilting. Sorry to hear that - just came on to check as knew it was due but was hoping...
Here's to a sticky April bean instead. Thanks

If you ever feel like trying acupuncture, I really recommend it. Although know time and money can get in the way.

DG - looking forward to hearing about your scan! Fingers crossed for you. x

DGLLB · 31/03/2014 16:38

So sorry wilting Thanks

Mabel they only do the Nuchal fold test here now from what I could make out from what the midwife was saying, if that shows problems they do bloods, it's changed from when I had my other dc's, scan in 3 days so il let you no

No joy here, af arrived this evening :(

Oh well, try and try again I guess...

MabelMay · 28/03/2014 16:56

Thanks a lot guys!

Wilting, keeping fingers crossed. I realised that the 'symptoms' are so deceptive. And yeah, as you remember, it was the one month I was sure it hadn't happened that I ended up with the BFP.

DG, also thinking of you and keeping fingers crossed for the 6th. Yes -my 12 week scan is scheduled for 22nd April. Here in the US they're so much more pushy about all these diagnostic tests for chromosomal issues and other 'problems' - which my ob-gyn seems very keen for me to have given my ancient age (39). - hey, nice positive thinking doc. But I'm just going to stick to nuchal fold and bloods and that's it. What about you?

Sending positive wishes to you both.
Smile

DGLLB · 28/03/2014 14:07

Yay so happy for you Mabel Smile

Have you got your 12 week scan date yet?

Wilting dont worry about symptom spotting (easier said than done I know) I convinced my self I wasn't pg because of no real symptoms but I was Smile

I'm doing okay currently 11+1 scans on Thursday 3rd April, 6 days to go, please keep fingers crossed for me Smile

wiltingfast · 28/03/2014 09:09

That is wonderful MabelMay I am so HAPPY for you! Well done Grin

No real symptoms here, am clinging to a lack of spots as my only real sign... af due on Sun so guess I'll know soon enough.

DG how you doing?

MabelMay · 28/03/2014 06:06

Your vibes worked!

Baby measuring 8+2 and saw a lovely heartbeat! Was shaking like a leaf beforehand. Just feel overwhelming relief now. Thanks so much for your thoughts.

Now hoping for equally positive news for both of you. Wilting any symptoms? DG, what date is yr scan?

MabelMay · 27/03/2014 16:20

Thanks for the good vibes guys!!

Scan this afternoon and I'm now feeling terrible - as in and anxious, bag of nerves - and I know the hours are going to drag. It's 9.20 here at the moment and my scan isn't until 3.30pm - argh.

It's coincided with my nausea subsiding so of course now I'm allowing a little doubt to creep in. Wish my DH could come with me, but he can't.

OK.
Stay positive. Stay positive.

'speak' soon.
x

DGLLB · 27/03/2014 11:50

MabelMay · 26/03/2014 16:31

Ooh, Wilting - funny how we're all on tenterhooks for different reasons - DG and I waiting for our scans - you for AF/BFP.

My scan is tomorrow. Am now feeling so much more positive than I was before that I'm beginning to curse myself for allowing myself to feel optimistic before I've actually seen the bean. I think I'll be a ball of nerves by tomorrow afternoon though. DG, can imagine how time is dragging - today feels like an eternity, and my scans only tomorrow!

I feel so exhausted ALL the time - I think it's not helped by the progesterone supplements I'm taking, which add sleepiness to the already full-on pregnancy fatigue. Just not feeling human at all.

DG, hope time speeds up for you a bit.

Wilting, fingers still tightly crossed for you.

Will let you know how scan goes. Send positive baby vibes my way.
xx

wiltingfast · 26/03/2014 13:55

Thinking of you DG! Be sure adn let us know how your scan goes tomorrow.

Here, no major symptoms, a slight feeling of heaviness/pressure maybe, was v tired yesterday?! No spots though which I would normally get a few days before my af....

4 days to af....

How are you doing MabelMay?
