How long should I wait?

Hello,

I've come for a bit of a sanity check and advice. DH and I have been TTC for 2 years now and have just started on the road of getting tested at the GP for any issue. I have a 29 day cycle, have done for ages once I'd settled after I'd come off the pill...except I'm late! 3 days now. I've had period like pains for days and I was horrible last week in true PMT style plus with Christmas and stuff I don't think we hit our mark last month. My question is, how long before I do a test?? DH says we should wait and I'm just a bit late but I'm going mad. Should I just do it and get it out the way? I feel a bit silly, it's only 3 days...do I just need a slap?

Not wanting to be over dramatic but at what point do I go to the GP as this is out of character. I'm away on holiday next week so guess if I still haven't come on by then it will be over 2 weeks. I hate nature, she makes sensible women go loony Grin

6 days today. I've been 29 days for about a year, once I'd settles down after coming off the pill. Even when I was still a bit all over the place my longest cycle was 33 days so I'm even beating that record!

picked up more tests today so will test tomorrow first thing, which will be 6 days late. Surely they'll be something to see, if I am pregnant?? This is the first hint of a pregnancy since we started ttc so I'm already out of my depth!

Cookie I might start calling them baps! still no sign of AF so now 4 days late. Will do one first thing minus Dh, having him there made it more of a thing!

Try a pink test like answer or free or super drug the dye comes out clearer. I did a test two days before af was due, clear pink 2nd line (answer) then on day period due with a blue (sainsbury) and you could barely make out a line. Week later super strong line on the 2nd (answer) test.

Think I'll leave it a couple of days . if there's still no sign then I'll go again. Who knew your world can be so controlled by blue lines and weeing!

well I poas and it was a bfn. kind of knew in my heart but still gutted. I'm never late but hey ho. Now baffled by no af and trying to be cheery! Thanks for all the support, it was lovely knowing you were all there being positive Smile
