Hi everyone

I am a mum of 3 and we are currently trying for our forth and final baby Smile

We caught on first time with all our other 3. Seems to be taking a while long this time has anyone else experienced this? I am sure it will happen in good time Smile

Anyone else mad enough to want or have 4? Some people think I am crazy Wink

Hi ladies just wondered how your all getting on?

Morning sickness has officially landed here I feel like death most of the day I forgot how it feels completely!

I've also been having a lot of twinges has anyone else had this? I can't remember it with the other 3 but it's on my right side and feels sore when it happens, and in a strange coincidence my right arm occasionally feels as though I've had a flu jab in the top of it and I can't lift it up far because the muscle in that arm is so sore it's really bizarre! Just wondered of anyone else had had anything like this or is it just because it's our 4th baby that everything feels magnified this time? Xx

chippy123 · 16/04/2014 20:29

ImBrian · 16/04/2014 20:27

Sorry humph, next month hopefully will be the one.

HumphreysCorner · 16/04/2014 17:09

Well, AF arrived today on CD 34. Onwards and upwards eh.

chippy123 · 15/04/2014 23:07

Thank you! ;-) haha I do that too!

Told my husband's family today even though it's early days and they are really pleased for us but I'm waiting to tell my mum and dad at the same time as my sister, were going to tell them together and see their shock haha!! Xx

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2014 10:11

chippy123-congratulations to you too.Grin

I'm using my phone so can't scroll to re read posts. I can't remember what I've read when I start a message. Must be old age setting in.Wink

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2014 10:07

IamBrian-congratulations on expecting No5.Smile I think if I'd met DH earlier I would have persuaded him to go for No 6-lol.

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2014 10:05

Morning all, I'm using the blue dye internet cheapies but did a First Response which was most definitely BFN. I've taken up temping again in desperation and the temps are all over the place.

I read about ovulation bleeding and was hopeful but temps don't show as post OV.

Good luck everyone. I'm trying to decide when my cut off time should be. Originally it was 2 years ago but I appear to have extended that somewhat. Grin

clairewright32 · 15/04/2014 08:04

I have a big gap between my 2nd and 3rd my daughter is 18 my son is 17 then me two wee ones are 7 and 8. My cycle is very strange this month I am normally a 32 day cycle. I did the clear blue digital test for ovulating. It came up a peak on day 21 so I thought oh well I am late a couple of days. Then on day 24 I was getting signs I was ovulating so I done a clear blue normal came back positive. So I think the digital one was wrong so now I am two days late. I take it if you ovulate late my period will be late. I have done tests they all are a bfn. I hate the waiting ??

ImBrian · 15/04/2014 07:26

Humphrey the cycle after my first mc I bled at ovulation time, apparently it's a good sign of fertility. Are you using blue or pink dye tests? Blue are well known for evaps but pink not so likely. If it's an evap it should appear after the time limit and have no colour in it. Fingers crossed your getting a very early bfp x

ImBrian · 15/04/2014 07:22

I'm pregnant with number 5 Grin

Having 4 is lovely, sometimes slightly hectic but you get very good at working out the logistics of doing everything. People will think you're crazy but they're just jealous let them crack on with it.

I've been lucky and fallen pretty quickly with all of mine
Dc1 surprise
Dc2 4 months
Mc surprise
Dc3 1 cycle
Dc4 surprise
Mc 1cycle
Dc5 1 cycle
As you can see contraception fails me fairly regularly as well!

Good luck everybody, I hope you get your bfps soon Smile

chippy123 · 15/04/2014 07:22

Hi clairewright32 just wanted to ask you how did you find the jump from 3 to 4? What sort of age gaps do you have? I've heard a lot of people say it's easier than 2 to 3? I suppose it mustn't be too bad if your ttc no 5! Good luck xxx

clairewright32 · 15/04/2014 00:05

Hi can I join too I am trying ttc no 5 I conceived my other 3 very quick first one was an accident. Think my age has a lot to do with it I am 37 in a few months.

chippy123 · 14/04/2014 23:02

Hi humphreys corner :-) Sorry to hear about your mc that sounds heartbreaking hope your Ok? Are you sure they are evaporation lines? Maybe try a digital test so that it's there in black and white and there's no staring at the stick until your eyes go blurey waiting for a line. I've honestly done that so many times you could send yourself crazy. Good luck for your bfp xxx

HumphreysCorner · 14/04/2014 21:00

Hi all, we are ttc no. 4. I'm 44 and after 2 years finally got a BFP in November only to go for a 12 week scan and find the baby had died at 9 1/2 weeks. Had a scan at 7 1/2 weeks and saw a heartbeat. Passing the foetus at home was just heartbreaking. Had a normal cycle post MC but this month is stupid. Had a bleed on CD 14 for 3 days and now on CD 31 and no sign of AF. Done a million tests and all are BFN and most have lovely evaporation lines so have ordered some more internet cheapies. Have DD1 10, DD2 7 and DS 4. Smile

chippy123 · 14/04/2014 08:04

Nope were also crazy over here! :-)

I really really thought we are done after our 3 once dd arrived we swore we were done but then last year we've both been broody again and just around xmas time hubby said he wanted another but left the decision up to me because he works long hours so I'm the main one looking after the children.

Anyway we decided to start ttc last month had af on the 4th March and to our shock we got our bfp on Saturday night! Can't believe it as with our ds1 and ds2 It took a year to conceive and with dd it took around 6 months.

We're both really pleased can't believe we're going to have another everyone will probably think we're crazy but we just keep imagining xmas and birthdays with 4 running around! :-)

To make things even more strange my sister got a bfp the night before ( reason I tested was because she listed her symptoms and I was on the phone thinking hmmmm) so we are looking at being due about a week apart. She's the only person we've told so far I'm busting to tell people but for now it's a nice little secret between me and hubs.

CherryPie3 · 24/01/2014 07:43

She did make me smile when she was showing and telling me all about her new room. I've tried explaining that she is always going to be quite a few years older than any baby we have. Also that she will be at high school in at least yr 8 by the time the new little one starts nursery even.

Grin at sticking sanitary towels to herself!! Now that would give me a giggle haha xx

I this time around my DH is more ready than ever! I have always wanted a large family so in a way I've always felt ready but this is the first time that ttc has been my dh's idea. He was adamant 3 was enough but I talked him out of having a vasectomy - something he thanked me for last week when he sat me down for the baby conversation, how things turn around eh?

Biedronka · 23/01/2014 12:55

:) at your DD, bless her. If she gets a sister I'll give her a few years before she wants her out of her room when she starts ruining her make up and sticking sanitory towels to her walls or herself :)

I swore blind that I wouldn't have anymore DC after my last and I stuck to it for a long time. However, after I left my Ds's dad I later entered a relationship with someone younger than me with no DC so before it became serious I had to have a good think about it as I knew at some point that he would want one/some of his own.
It's funny, I feel more ready now than I did back then but not surprising I suppose as back then I was little more than a child myself.

CherryPie3 · 23/01/2014 09:23

Biedronka Neither did I! None of the lasting side effects were explained to me, I probably wouldn't have had it otherwise. Mind you, at the time there were no more children planned ever. DH was very against it, so for him to suggest ttc#4 was a bolt from the blue! A welcome one bough :)

As for being as old as you feel - I'm another that actually never mentally grew up! I like it this way, and the kids think it's great haha!

Can't believe your boys are so grown up! It really will be like having a first again, but you will be able to enjoy it without having the stress of 4 littlies.

I had to laugh at my dd yesterday - she's picked out her 'new' bedroom for "when my baby sister comes" Hmm
Bunk beds. Pale grey walls, dusky pink curtains, bedding and pictures. She is utterly convinced!!
I'm not sure she's worked it out in her head that she will always be at least 9 years older than a new baby. And that's if I miraculously got pregnant today.

Have a good day ladies xx

Biedronka · 22/01/2014 16:06

Jesus what's wrong with my writing
It's true what they say*

and of course - your DC's ages not agaes :)

Biedronka · 22/01/2014 16:00

Champagne if you've got a sympathetic GP, or access to one then get yourself there. Over 35's trying for 6mths should be sent for the blood tests.
Honestly go asap because the tests need to be done at specific times of the month e.g - FSH is tested for on CD3 and progesterone needs to be done on cd21 of a 28 day cycle (or 6-8 days after a confirmed ovulation)
You may also be tested for STD's - I was, simply to rule it out as a reason stopping me from conceiving.
I'm not sure about the rules (if indeed there are any) in the UK regarding further fertility help if needed on NHS when you already have children (or if one partner does as in my case) but GP will let you know.
I had these basic ones done in the UK when I was 33 but now as I live in a different country I have the full works every 6 mths or so.
I've only had the scans once as all was healthy with ovaries, tubes, endometriem and womb so don't need to keep repeating. The only issue that I do have is some scar tissue inside of my womb from my last 2 pregs - I have huge babies and the placenta left large holes which haemoraged but I've been assured it won't stop me getting preg, it's a small issue if a new placenta attaches in one of those area's but still nothing serious.

It's madness when you realise just how many things need to be working in harmony after you've previously only had to just think about shagging to fall pregnant :)

Wow Cherry I'd no idea Depo could mess with cycles so much. I've never used it.
Edging closer to 30 is not so bad, honest.
Anyway it's true what they 'you're as old as you feel' Most days I feel like I'm 12 :)

Your Dc's agaes are lovely for adding another.

I seriously must be mental - my Ds's are 17,18 and 19 :) for me it'll be like having a first again.

champagnegoldfinch · 22/01/2014 13:49

Thanks beidronka. I have been obsessively TTC for 7 months now and am thinking about seeing the GP once AF arrives this month.

Biedronka · 22/01/2014 12:41

champagnegoldfinch I was ttc on and off but not neurotically with ov tests etc.. for around 1 yr before getting tests done.
That said though I can choose when and what tests I have done as regular as every 6 mths as I'm not in the UK (Europe) and have private health ins.

Hi all Xx

CherryPie3 · 22/01/2014 09:59

Oh I'm 28 too. Although only for another 10 days or so. Will be 29 soon. Don't know how I feel about almost being 30 Grin
