For those who have jumped off the January bus. May need assistance for the wonderfully organised ladies who are so brilliant at keeping the stats up to date!

So to start the engine MrsF2510 ttc #1 cycle 2 BFP due 1st Feb x

bella I got my.first faint bfp at 7am 12dpo with fmu.

I got my clear positive on a early response test at 2pm 13dpo

KittyVonCatsington · 01/02/2014 11:15

would be so emasculating for him to think a mini bin bag helped
Thanks for making me chuckle whilst marking Year 12 Mock exams!

missmrsmummy · 01/02/2014 10:59

Agree Retro DH doesn't need to know everything! Got to let him think it's his super sperm that did it ;-) would be so emasculating for him to think a mini bin bag helped!

RetroHippy · 01/02/2014 10:46

Haha, Englishgirl, no. That was a previous experiment due to being on the 'heavy flow' bit if my period whilst on holiday this summer!

missmrs, we DTD, then I lay on my back with my knees up for a bit, then ran to the bathroom whilst clenching, KOALA'd for a few seconds to suck any back up, then popped it in! Only used it the right way up, if it doesn't work I might try upside down next cycle. DH has no idea the lengths I've gone to this month Grin!

sherbertlemon17 · 01/02/2014 10:21

Thanks for the advice Pebble and English! Really helpful to know!

I think I'll wait this cycle out and (hopefully not) but one then.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/02/2014 10:14

Retro - you didn't have it in while DTD did you? I thought you insert straight after.

Good positivity Kitty!!

As pebble said - thermometer must be to 2 decimal points. Not your bog standard one from boots. Always take at the same time. I set my alarm for 7 and then go back to sleep if it's the weekend. Look on the fertility friend website, there's other peoples graphs there that are good for getting an idea of what you're likely to see.

missmrsmummy · 01/02/2014 10:01

Also did you put it in upside down so the 'pool' is shallower? I've heard that works.

missmrsmummy · 01/02/2014 10:00

Haha yes Retro

Did you insert one straight after DTD? I'm thinking I should do it whilst still lying down to defy gravity! If I run to the bathroom I might lose some!

RetroHippy · 01/02/2014 09:57

mrsmissmummy I used soft cups this cycle as I had some in from an experimental test! yes, you can feel them during sex Hmm I'll let you know in a few days if it worked!

It does feel good knowing that all the sperm is caught and in the right place not dribbling down your leg Grin

missmrsmummy · 01/02/2014 09:29

I'm due to ov mon/Tue but we haven't DTD yet... DH is saving up for a good first shot!

Got my soft cups as well now... Weird but I'll give it a go! Can't help but think of these www.bellbrush.com/holder-round-handi-hoop-p-2337.html?osCsid=d3bb81b7a25fcbc3edc190a9efac37f6 when I look at them!

Any one else soft cupping this cycle?

pebble82 · 01/02/2014 09:29

sherbertlemon I have this one as it shows to 2dp www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B001CL2GIA/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Take your temp at the same time everyday, just after you wake up. Don't do anything before you take it (so before going to the loo, brushing teeth etc)

Your temp will be lower before OV then it'll spike (day after OV) staying high and may dip at 6-12dpo (possible implantation, although this is not always the case, might not happen and also some women get the dip without being pg). If you're pg it'll stay high if not it'll drop again for next AV.

I had a dip at 6/7dpo but now 10/11dpo and still no BFP. Luckily I got out of working at the baby event so I don't have to be nice to new mums and pregnant women today!

My boobs are really sore though, but that's pretty normal around this time for me anyway.

bellaboo88 · 01/02/2014 09:26

English, youre right Im not out yet till witch arrives

Mum...what time was ur first faint line & how long are you're cycles?

I'm 12dpo today, only lasted till 10dpo last month.

Has anyone had implantation cramps all at right times & gone on to get bfp, just a shy one but late? X

missmrsmummy · 01/02/2014 09:25

Yay, come on Kitty! Love your enthusiasm.

Demi yes I'd say that's good enough... The sperm from 28th will have stayed inside you :-)

KittyVonCatsington · 01/02/2014 09:22

If I get a bfn I think I'll temp next cycle. Can anyone shed any light? What type of thermometer? When do you temp? What should I be looking for? Sorry for so many questions!

I'd be interested on advice too, in case I have to board the March bus!

sherbertlemon17 · 01/02/2014 09:16

Morning everyone! So 13dpo here and I'm holding out POAS until tomorrow when AF is due. Not feeling very positive this morning as I've not long stopped the pill and my cycles are still all over the place. It's our first cycle trying though, so early days yet.

Had a few symptoms; achey back, not sore boobs but tingly feeling and every now and again I feel like I can taste blood in my mouth. This is the one that made me excited, but bet it's just cracked lips! Lol! They are all probably pill withdrawal no doubt! Grr!

KittyVonCatsington · 01/02/2014 09:13

Morning all! I don't if anyone remembers my angst on the January bus in not getting a positive reading on my Boots own brand OPKs? Well, day 2 of using ClearBlue Digis and I have a flashing smiley! On CD10 wasn't expecting it yet, but it's nice to see and aliviates a little of my worries that I wasn't ovulating. Will DTD daily until I get a solid smiley. Don't want to take any chances and don't mind deviating from the SMEP plan as DTD every other day from CD8 to CD29 didn't work last month. This month is it...I can feel it Grin

EnglishGirlAbroad · 01/02/2014 08:39

Happygolucky, I'm 7dpo too and also had a temp drop this morning, followed by a thick glob of ewcm. Sorry TMI!! What's that about?!

Zermatt - clear blue OPKs say to use fmu don't they?? I always use fmu with clear blue and usually test with a cheapie in the afternoon.

RetroHippy · 01/02/2014 08:15

zermatt, I use the OPKs when I get home from work. I go for a wee at lunch, then test when I get home. Got really grumpy if I had shitloads of marking to do and had to pee before I left!

Anyway, latest update here; 11/12 dpo, still bfn on the ics. No boob pain (which is odd in itself as I do usually get it before AF), strange crampy feeling yesterday, thick, creamy cm and seriously crazy dreams. All of which I may be imagining!!

Going out for dinner tonight and a drinky-poo to celebrate making it through dry January. I guess having a few drinks tonight will guarantee a bfp and a hangover in the morning!

Zermatt · 01/02/2014 02:52

Do people using the clear blue opk's really wait 4 hours without going to wet their lettuce before testing! That's such a long time for my small as a peanut bladder!

Zermatt · 01/02/2014 02:27

So sorry to hear that Lovecuppy, hope your DH is ok and that the 2 of you can help each other and his mum through it.

Mum2 and Polly, fantastic news on the BFPs!! So exciting xx

Happygolucky, I love Perth too, the weather and beaches certainly help! I like the fact it's laid back and outdoorsy, when we first moved here I found it a bit too quiet but have come to love it, plus it's changed so much in just 3 years. I think it would be a lush place to bring up a little one, fingers crossed for you on this cycle x

Demi123 · 01/02/2014 02:20

Have I done enough in ttc?
I have been ttc for years, I have now tested with the clearblue smiley face opk's I got my first smiley face 29th and second 30th I had intercourse 28th 30th and 31st my question is have I done enough although I didn't have intercourse the day of the first smiley even though I did it the night before?

happygoluckyinOz · 01/02/2014 01:44

Sorry for your news lovecuppy congrats to those with BFP's already!

Well I was pleased to read that others got a temp drop at 7dpo as that's what I had this morning! I'm finding temping a great way of seeing where you are in your cycle, I'm certainly a convert.

Been frantically symptom spotting - milky discharge, lower back pain, mild achey cramping & this morning feel slightly 'off' if not outright nauseous...

Going to try and hold out to test on tuesday when I'll be 10dpo.

Would be totally crazy considering I only stopped the pill on Jan 5th! Probably getting my hopes up way to much! Blush

babytinks89 · 01/02/2014 00:03

I hope so treacle!!! :)

I dont pebble no... To be honest i'm so blonde at this i actually dont understand this temping malarky haha! Sunday is expected OV day so will seeee! had a constant stitch feeling in my tummy all night though... :(

LittleMissSunshine33 · 31/01/2014 22:30

Congrats mum and Polly what a good start to the bus!!

Sorry LoveCuppy hope you and DH are ok.

Went to buy some OPKs and that and the pg test shelves were nearly empty! Seems to be a busy time of year for baby making ... unless you all live near me and have got there first Wink

pebble82 · 31/01/2014 21:36

I OVd CD 19/20. Just keep dtd.

Also I never really got a clear positive opk. Are you temping babytinks
