Rossby! Haha!!!! Yes I Definately feel better knowing that you are suffering as I am with the Manuka! What Cd are you on?? I must say this mornings spoon of manuka was the worst....not sure why it's getting more difficult to eat!!! and I always have normal honey on my toast but when I did this morning I gagged....i am now off honey for life!!!! This better work for us Rossby as I would hate to think we are eating this vile stuff for nothing :/

Also DH is traumatised by the NUDP!! Needs must though....he knows I'm crazy anyway!!! haha!

rossby · 20/01/2014 09:59

mama31 I think the manuka is disgusting! Actually it was your earlier post saying that you could hardly keep it down that made me persevere -on the basis that we're all suffering together, which always makes me feel better! DH just stared at me in amazement when he saw me gagging over it - I can't bring myself to tell him that it's another TTC thing (he's still not really over the naked cycling) so I just said it was for general wellbeing - but he looked sceptical.

mama31 · 19/01/2014 23:27

Thanks seasavage for that info....im glad to read that there is a logical explanation for what I'm doing with this koala plan!! haha!!! Makes it more worthwhile to know the reasons it could work!!! And sooooo hoping it does work as it's the first cycle I've tried this!

seasavage · 19/01/2014 21:48

umm, by the ex husband comment i should add that pregnancies followed these efforts (and ttc was a non thought then sigh)

seasavage · 19/01/2014 21:47

The orgasm post OH thing is because when you do the muscles of the vagina and cervix contract in such a way as to dip the cervix into a 'dip' in the vagina. The dip is a natural collecting point for whatever fluids are in there. So orgasm = dip dip dip, cervix is essentially a narrow tube.
Cycling your legs i guess not only tips all the fluid with gravity but also the job of 'tapping the edge' to get rid of any air in the way!
Certainly after sex with ex husband i had orgasms. ... I don't think it matters if you do during, just do it after as well?

mama31 · 19/01/2014 21:00

Pebble don't worry just keep dtd! Some ladies have said they didn't get pos opk but still got bfp's so just keep at it! Haha!!! Well I have had to send DH out of the room for NUDP, it just gets too funny and distracts me from the task so he has to go for a few mins til I stop! Haha!

seasavage · 19/01/2014 20:59

Despite my many fears still TTC. The 2ww has started today.
stats, TTC#3, cycle 2 (ish) BFP due 2nd Febrary. Thumb twiddling exercises for the next two weeks, organise fabric, clean a lot of stuff and plan our holidays within an inch of their lives (suggestions for distractions welcome).

pebble82 · 19/01/2014 20:43

Still no positive OPK for me. Have been able to test twice a day as it's the weekend but nothing :( I was sure I'd OV today/tomorrow (CD17/18) so now worried about not ovulating at all this month (despite my previous advice not to! - I never take my own advice lol!)

Koala plan underway (no honey though) - I've found a tactic of sending DP to make a brew so I can do some secret naked peddling when he's busy.

mama31 · 19/01/2014 20:10

Oh and Rossby I think manuka is something to do with blood flow to the reproductive organs? I think! Where is mrskoala with all her knowledge?? Could do with a re-run of the koala plan from her!

mama31 · 19/01/2014 19:44

Rossby how are you finding the Manuka honey?? It's so difficult to swallow....so thick and eugh in texture :/

mama31 · 19/01/2014 19:43

Hi ladies :) well that's day 2 of the "Koala Plan" complete :) including manuka honey, cycling and O after DH! I must say he doesn't like me O after him...and it does seem to involve a lot of concentration on the task lol taking the natural enjoyment away from it a bit! but we are both determined to give it a go for this cycle! See what happens!

Re vits I'm taking Pregnacare, DH is on wellmans and I also take evening primrose oil and grapefruit juice up until ovulation and have started with the spoon of Manuka honey (which is boke) each day! I also take berocca for extra vit c but that's just coz it makes me feel good!

Have dtd yesterday and today, no positive opk as yet but I think it's building up so prob get pos opk tomorrow or Tuesday. Next dtd is planned for Tuesday anyway.....koala style!!! haha!

How is everyone else doing?

rossby · 19/01/2014 19:38

I've started plan koala - CD 8, one manuka honey teaspoon ingested, and one bout of upside down naked cycling done. DH timed me (when he'd a) helped me get my legs up in the air as I kept rolling sideways and b) stopped laughing) and I could only do a minute before collapsing with palpitations. Going to aim for 90 seconds next time...

Does anyone know what the manuka honey is for?

PolytheneGirl · 19/01/2014 19:04

Haha I went for the his and hers because I know I'm going to have to pull the whole "I'm taking mine.., you take yours too!" on him! It's all very grown up!

SnowBells · 19/01/2014 18:56

PolytheneGirl I don't think it's Pregnacare he will be taking… it's called WellMAN Conception (emphasis on 'MAN'). Wink Hahaha…

PolytheneGirl · 19/01/2014 18:42

SnowBells my DH has been taking a general multi vitamin but he'll be switching to Pregnacare this week (not that he knows that yet mwahaha!)

SnowBells · 19/01/2014 18:35

DH also takes supplements. Anyone else's DH taking them, too?

PolytheneGirl · 19/01/2014 18:33

Apparently coughs syrup containing Guaifenesin (basically any chesty cough medicine) can help with ewcm. I'm giving it a go. Only started on Friday though so fx.

htbftm · 19/01/2014 18:25

Ordered my pregnacare too! Whats the cough syrup for? Or is it just a cough?? :-)

PolytheneGirl · 19/01/2014 18:05

Just ordered my Pregnacare conception his & hers from amazon. Also taking folic acid (high dosage) and cough syrup.

sherbertlemon17 · 19/01/2014 16:39

Thanks for all your replies!! Will definitely have a look on amazon for pregnacare!

And if this cycle isn't successful I think I'll give the grapefruit juice a try. Who'd of thought!

Treaclepie19 · 19/01/2014 16:14

As long as you can I think angelicjen
I've been taking Seven Seas - Trying for a baby.

angelicjen · 19/01/2014 15:44

Sherbet, the grapefruit juice and evening primrose are meant to help with ewcm. You take the evening primrose from cd1 to ov. No idea if it works as only been trying it for a week. Fingers crossed though. I'm also taking pregnacare vits. Much cheaper on amazon than boots.
I'm contemplating the koala leg cycling but worried dp will think I've gone crazy! How long are you meant to do it for?

htbftm · 19/01/2014 15:04

Hi all, can I hop on?
TTC#4 Cycle#1 (came off pill last month and AF got me on 14th, so I guess Jan doesn't really count!) BFP due 14/2! That would be a good valentines pressie!
I've been using Tesco multivits and preg tests, think I may switch to pregnacare after reading about increased conception %, what do others make of their tests?

MrsF2510 · 19/01/2014 14:56

Hi sherbet, I'm taking pregnacare which is multi vits including folic acid. I am eating healthily too. X

Supplements

I'm taking Zita West Vitafem (similar to Pregnacare) 3x a day, DHA, Vitamin D spray, Agnus Castus…

Just realized I must look like someone on hard drugs to some people, the amount of pills I pop each day… Hmm
