Hi Zermatt!

As Kitty says, do use FMU. I got a smiley on day 15 first cycle and day 16 on my second.

Annoyingly we DTD last night (mini bin bag and all) hoping for my smiley today (day 15) but I just got an empty cycle. Shame as DH had been saving up especially!

I managed to put the soft cup in whilst lying in bed straight after DTD when DH was in the bathroom. Though I know he knew I was up to something as he said 'keep your weird sh1t to yourself' hahah!

pebble82 · 03/02/2014 09:06

I'm not going to bother to poas, temps don't lie :'(

broodysnoopstie · 03/02/2014 09:02

myself Bella I'd POAS Grin

bellaboo88 · 03/02/2014 08:55

Body's officially messing me about :-(

After my brown spotting at lunch time (about a five pence piece worth) I've had absolutely nothing! When I wipe, its only pale, barely would notice any colour. Would you class it as cd1 yesterday or keep poas like a mad woman?

Today is cd31/14dpo or cd2

ic was bfn. X

RetroHippy · 03/02/2014 08:24

Oh, Pebble, sorry, just read your temp has dropped. POAS anyway? You're not out till AF arrives!

RetroHippy · 03/02/2014 08:23

Morning! Pebble, you still holding out? The test that I absolutely did not do this morning was a bfn again Sad.

No sign of AF, boobs definitely hurting now. I'm making myself feel better worse? by catching up with series 1 of OBEM in bed. Yes, I should be doing work. No, I don't care.

barmybunting · 03/02/2014 07:09

Hi missmrs how are you? I was sorry to see you'd been signed off with stress when I read back last night. How are you feeling now?

Thanks for the info and link, I'm going to give them a go. This 'every 2nd day' business is all fine and dandy but after two months of that I think DH's bits would fall off if we tackled it again Smile ! That and now we are both back at work (much easier during the hols!!) who has the time or energy as you say?

pebble82 · 03/02/2014 07:05

Well my temp is down this morning at 12dpo so reckon that make me out. Gutted! Dtd at all the right times and this month I'm away with work at the crucial time (working at a baby event- oooh the irony!!). Off to sulk...

EnglishGirlAbroad · 03/02/2014 06:56

Zermat, ditto what Kitty said. I'd follow the specific instructions. They obviously say to use fmu for a reason. Maybe because they're a more advanced testing system. Good luckSmile

KittyVonCatsington · 03/02/2014 06:24

Morning! Hi Zermatt- The CB digis do say go for FMU, whereas others don't. Stick to what CB Digi recommend. I used cheaper OPKs last month and was testing around 4pm everyday. Didn't get a positive result at all. Three days into using CB digis using FMU and I have a positive result!

Zermatt · 03/02/2014 03:59

Hi missmrsmummy, I'm about to start using the CB Digital OPK as well, (not the one that has the flashing smileys as they aren't available here in oz, neither is the CB Fertility monitor either, not sure why as its quite annoying). In the link you sent it says its fine to use FMU for the CB OPK, but other OPK's I've looked at advise against that as can give a false positive, do you use FMU or wait until later in the day? Have you found it to be accurate? We dtd last night, cd9, will have a go again in a couple of days, am temping and also doing opk's, soon as I get a positive will pounce on DH each day for 3 days, my cycles have always been regular but have no idea when I ov and got it completly wrong last month, so this cycle I'm on a mega fact finding mission :)

missmrsmummy · 02/02/2014 22:52

Hi barmy

Clear blue opk - I've got a digital one. It tells you in the pack what day to start testing, depending on your cycle length. If you follow this link and go to point 1. 'Before testing' it shows you the chart.

uk.clearblue.com/clearblue-ovulation-test-range/clearblue-digital-ovulation-test-–-7-test-pack

If there is no LH surge you will see an empty circle and if there's a surge you get a smiley face so go for it! That day and the next are supposedly your most fertile.

Though my doc days to just DTD every other day all month. Who's got the time or energy for that?!

Good luck!

Ps they at expensive but if you follow that chart and you know how long your cycle is you won't use all the sticks in one cycle.

RhiBee29 · 02/02/2014 22:18

Hi pinkfairy, we've been winging it since Sept really, thought my cycle was sorted, had 3 cycles at 32 days then lastone was 26! Trying this cycle based on cm but might try opk next if i don't get a bfp! Two friends have just got bfp's both were "accidental" flipping annoying when I'm obsessing over cycle length and cm texture Envy

Pinkfairy88 · 02/02/2014 21:34

Hi rhibee :) I've also been off pill since sept waiting for my cycle to even out, still doesn't seem to have happened though! It can be anything from 28-33 days for me. Got fed up and impatient so dh agreed we could start trying winging it lol

barmybunting · 02/02/2014 21:29

Hi everyone, just wondering about these clearblue smiley opks - when do you start testing? Do you stop testing when you get a fixed smiley face?

I've had no joy with IC OPKs, I can never decide if theiy're positive or not and although I had borrowed a friends CBFM, I didn't like it or it didn't like my long cycles rather, so onto my next plan! But can't believe how expensive the clearblue smiley (not smelly as I just managed to write!) are!

RhiBee29 · 02/02/2014 20:27

Can I hop aboard?
TTC#1 Cycle 2 cd8 so bfp due 25th Feb.
Been off the pill since Sept but have been waiting for my cycle to even out.
Good luck everyone :)

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/02/2014 20:24

Lol! I saw you'd accepted the challenge to wait, my DP is away a lot so if af stays away, will test tue. Plus got an interview tomorrow so that's enough excitement for 1 day.

RetroHippy · 02/02/2014 20:19

You waiting till wed then?

no way, I'll be testing in the morning yes, of course I'm waiting, I've been double dared to wait and I would never go back on a double dare.

Boobs have started to feel a bit tender this evening. Also I could be making it up.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/02/2014 20:12

You waiting till wed then? You have nerves of steel! It's sounding pretty good for you. As far as I know you can get false negs but not false positives.... I had gently cramps yesterday now very light pink discharge (tmi?) either af spotting or IB.... Plus my teeny boobs are def' bigger. But don't know what is normal as first month on comic. Arghhh!

Hoping you get to use that code word soon.. C

RetroHippy · 02/02/2014 20:01

Thanks Ginger, I'll keep hoping. My cycle has been the most normal since I came off the pill Grin. In fact, I've had no boob pain and very little pms rage this month, usually I got obvious boob pain about a week before AF.

Had a little localised cramping, which isn't familiar, feeling snotty and damp down below, and a stinking headache and tiredness on Thursday. Am hoping I just got an unusually sensitive IC. I'm not out till AF arrives!

Spoke to my mum today, we don't chat often though we get on very well, and just couldn't resist telling her it was a possibility. We now have a code-word I can text her at work when I know for sure! I think she's more excited than me if that's even possible.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/02/2014 19:33

I apologise for my crap typing making my posts practically un-decipherable, bloody phone screen too small for this!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/02/2014 19:32

Dr said was a chem preg. Think I was getting positive tests from day 3 to 5 post ov

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/02/2014 19:31

It was a really weird cycle, I ov at day 15 which is really early for me, ( I can feel ov & was crazy emotional which isn't like me) then had spotting at day 18. I called drs as I've always had v long cycles, they advised to do a test (in case I was actually 5wks preg which I knew I wasn't due to positive opk). I had 3 positive tests (which shouldn't be possible 3 days after ov) then neg as spotting turned to v heavy period after a few days.

RetroHippy · 02/02/2014 19:21

Ginger, I got my positive OPK on 20th Jan, so I'm 12/13 dpo. No idea about usual cycle length as my past three cycles have been 26, 50 and 18 days!

Just want it to be tomorrow so I can test with fmu...

When you had your chem pg, did you spot straight away?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 02/02/2014 19:15

We all seem to have some sort of Sunday night mass hysteria! This tic malarkey is enough to unhinge the best of us!

toots good stuff, you're 2ww is on.

retro how many dpo are you? I had a chem preg in nov.

babytinks I'd be DTC for next few days anyway, takes a good while for the egg to move thru tubes so you can still catch it.
