Exciting times for you then Kate! Good luck!

katecupoftea · 29/01/2014 21:43

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone :-) Good to see you join along with me Squeamish, looks like we will be near enough POAS buddies. I'm currently on the sofa with a hot water bottle and Nashville with an AF face on but excited about the upcoming month (along with TTC, also have a minor event of getting married in a couple of weeks!)

SuddenlySqueamish · 29/01/2014 21:21

Evening all. Another addition to the bus if you'll have me. Had a big break after a change in circumstances so I'm considering this cycle 1 again.

All important details:

TTC #1 Cycle 1 BFP 25th Feb (Haven't finished current AF yet but I'm determined not to have another for a while :D )

smorgasborgen · 29/01/2014 21:17

EnglishGirlAbroad · 29/01/2014 21:08

Welcome to the up/down world of TTC Kate. Hope you have a swift journey on the buses. Good bunch of ladies here to keep your spirits high!

Sorry everyone is feeling a bit down today. Hopefully everyone will be feeling a bit better in a day or two! I'm currently sat about to watch Big Brother with a fat glass of Sauvingnon! Wine Wine

barmybunting · 29/01/2014 21:07

Kitty Thank you for asking. I'm in Y4 at a community primary school, it seems to follow the normal National Curriculum as opposed to what I can make out from acadamies etc following. But I say that very loosely as I haven't taught in England before and it isn't make much sense to me yet! I've taught Primary 4 & Primary 6 over the last few years in Scotland (Y3 and Y5) so the stage is familiar with me but I can't get my head around these levels and APP systems used in England.

Half of my problem is probably that I feel like a right idiot asking about these things when I've been teaching for about 5 years, it feels like such basic stuff but I'm not familiar with it so have to ask about everything. My stage partner is also an NQT who is struggling so I am trying to avoid adding more stress there but that's not helping.

I don't really know what I'm trying to understand really! I think I probably need to get my head around the planning first, teach it then worry about the assessment and levelling later rather than do it all at once but that feels so wrong!

seasavage · 29/01/2014 21:04

Hi. A few people are low today. Some gentle thoughts at you. I might have Blush poas earlier than i was letting myself (negative). But. That is the first time I have ever seen an 'evap' line (suggestion of grey where it should be pink dammit).
Now I'm off again to a whole thought of symptom spotting. Calming Brew then bed so i can poas all the sooner

KittyVonCatsington · 29/01/2014 21:01

Welcome Kate!

barmybunting-it's tough starting a new teaching job let alone one across the 'border'! What kind of school are you in, key stage, subject etc. anything we can do to help? Two more days till the weekend Grin

barmybunting · 29/01/2014 20:55

mama sorry to see that you are feeling so low today with spotting appearing. I hope it isn't AF arriving, but just wanted to send Thanks your way.

Lovecuppy sorry to see you joining this bus, especially after a rubbish day at work.

Hi kate, welcome to the Feb bus. Exciting times to be starting ttc for you! Good luck!

I'm afraid I've come to join in the Sad passengers on the bus today. I started my new teaching job last Friday and I'm just utterly shattered. If anyone of you are thinking of moving from Scotland to England or vice versa, and you teach, all I would say is, don't do it! I can't get my head around the National Curriculum and the planning/assessment processes or systems in England at all so far, it is just so utterly different to Scotland. Given I didn't really want to move in the first place, I'm just feeling a bit rubbish about it really. Probably not helped because I had always thought I would be pregnant when we moved, so I would just be doing supply for a few months before mat leave but that's not happened.

Either that or the reflexology has just completely zonked me from yesterday - I'm ridiculously tired for this stage of the week.

sazzle, that's interesting re the reflexology hurting your ankles. I found two of my toes sore and part of the underside of my foot really painful which she said related to the adrenaline (ie stress) system. It's good to hear different bits feel different on other people, hopefully there is something in it!

Sorry, this is a bit of an essay tonight.

KittyVonCatsington · 29/01/2014 20:53

I remember last Thursday when AF 'fully arrived' and was surprised at how crushing the blow was. I was desperate for it not to be happening and only felt better a couple of days later. So I don't think you are being self centred at all. It sucks! I'm now on CD7 and gearing myself up to starting the whole POAS for OPKs etc. tomorrow. I feel this is our lucky month for all of us Wink

Lovecuppy · 29/01/2014 20:45

Ps.... Happy birthday!!

Lovecuppy · 29/01/2014 20:44

kitty hello! Thanks for asking. Feeling pretty low to be honest.... Built up to testing today and then got home from a rubbish day at work yesterday and AF arrived.... Sorry for being a bit self-centred..... Think it's the hormones!! Sure in a few days all will be well again.

Where are you now in your cycle? Cx

katecupoftea · 29/01/2014 20:37

Helloooooo
I've come to add my stats. We always planned on starting to TTC from Feb but my AF came early today meaning I'm not on the March bus as previously thought but the Feb one.
Katecupoftea TTC #1 Cycle 1 BFP due 24th Feb

mama31 · 29/01/2014 20:26

Thanks kitty but I know it is af, it always is....thats why I'm drinking prosecco! haha! I'm certain!

mama31 · 29/01/2014 20:26

And to you Bex glad your doing well xx

Imaginary thank you! And yes I'm enjoying my prosecco think I deserve it!! Going away next wkend so looking in to reflexology nearby the place we are staying as it will be a nice relaxing treat but constructive also! We will both make GP appointments as well so hopefully we can get some more advice! But prob be told cycle 9 is too soon to worry as 12 months is the guidance! However DH can get swimmers checked so I guess that's something! Good luck to you lovely! X

KittyVonCatsington · 29/01/2014 20:24

You are all so kind with your Birthday wishes. Very nice to read! Had a lovely meal with DH which ended up with baby talk! We've decided to up DTD and start every day from CD9. The SMEP plan didn't work so will try something else! (and of course DH was game!)

LoveCuppy-really sorry to see you on the bus-how are you doing?

mama31-such a nasty feeling seeing spotting and not being sure if it is AF or not...good on you for doing so well.

BexBoo12 · 29/01/2014 20:14

Retro - I got mine on Christmas Day and AF was due on 28th. You'll get yours soon enough, I just know you all will xxx

Hugs to you mama xxx

English!! We miss you over on antenatal, and im so hoping you get your beautiful sticky bean soon, you so deserve it!! Xx

I will stick around and pop my head in from time to time as long as no one minds xxxxx

ImaginaryHat · 29/01/2014 19:40

Aw mama, it sucks that you've started spotting, I know that feeling only too well and its rubbish. Gp is probably a good idea to see if they can shed any light, I'm gonna go back if I have it again very early this cycle. Reflexology worth a go too I reckon! Hope you're enjoying your prosecco lovely.

Bex lovely to hear from you, how amazing to have your scan today and see that heartbeat, I can't wait for that moment, I just hope its soon!

Cd 8 today, not dtd yet. Dh out at the mo, will be getting in about half 10. Was considering pouncing on him when he gets in but I will be competing with match of the day and not sure if I'd win lol.

EnglishGirlAbroad · 29/01/2014 19:23

Lovely to see you Bex! Wish I was still on that antenatal thread with you Hmm But super glad everything is going well for you!
Hopefully we'll all be joining an antenatal thread soon enough!!
Keep us posted with how you're getting on! Smile xx

mama31 · 29/01/2014 19:14

Thankyou M33R and Bex! So kind! I'm trying to keep my chin up......with a large glass of prosecco right now!!!!! have lots to be thankful for really! So guess I'll just have to wait for my perfect bfp to complete our lives!

Thanks for all the support ladies your just wonderful all of you x

RetroHippy · 29/01/2014 19:06

Thanks Bex! When did you get your bfp? I ovulated at 12dpo which is early, so not sure if AF/bfp will be due early. I've never suffered with hormonal stuff at all (aside from vicious mood swings!) so I'm rather hoping I have an easy ride though possibly not for DH!

BexBoo12 · 29/01/2014 19:04

Can I also just send a bit of extra bit of luck and baby dust to mama - you so deserve your bfp soon xxx

BexBoo12 · 29/01/2014 19:02

Hi ladies, just bobbing my head in from September thread (hope you don't mind) to say hello to you all - to congratulate those with bfp! To support and cheer on those in 2ww, and to offer a glass of bubbly to those AF got Hmm

I've read a few people worrying about lack of symptoms - I think I can probably put some of your minds at rest - I had no ovulation pain, not much ECM at all which is why I used preseed to make dtd more comfortable. Following bfp (and right up til now - 8+2) I have had very few symptoms - I did have a bout if extreme me tiredness that lasted about 3 weeks and has just tailed off. The odd wave of nausea which has never developed into sickness. But literally nothing else. No sore boobs, no cravings as such other than junk food but that's completely normal for me and I have literally forgotten I am even pregnant at times. Had an early scan today because of confusion over dates and there was a tiny heartbeat Envy

I guess I'm just trying to say don't worry about lack of symptoms, you're not out til the fat lady sings as they say Grin I wish you all the luck in the world and hope to see lots of you on the antenna threads very soon!!!!!

Love, Bex xxx

PolytheneGirl · 29/01/2014 18:56

Hi ladies. I hope everyone is going on ok. Sorry to hear you're spotting mama but glad to see you are still making positive steps.

We started the SWI stage yesterday. DH returned from the bathroom to find me NUDP and promptly turned around and left again. He still hasn't mentioned it!! Haha I think I've scared him.

AF is due on valentines day and I've been daydreaming about wrapping up a BFP stick for dh's present. No doubt this will just have jinxed it! Wouldn't it be nice though!? Think I better get a back up plan!

m33r · 29/01/2014 18:54

mama keep you chin up mrs! You're wonderful and it will be you soon! I'm sure of it!! Stay positive! Good luck with the reflexology. I'm going to wait til next month to try it and also go private for next lot of tests to see where I am.

Thinking of you...

And of course, remember sazzle's story :-) x
