I started this same thread in December and was lucky enough (after 7 months!) to get pregnant with our first. Unfortunately I had a mc just before Christmas at 5 weeks. Cycle was a bit erratic at the start but looks like I ovulated at my normal time and BBT has risen. I'm almost certain I won't be lucky enough to get pregnant straight away after mc but I thought starting a thread like last time might help!!

Baxter - I am totally with you on this. Its a rollercoaster for sure. Yesterday I was having so many symptoms and today...nothing:( Its just a luck of the draw, for some people it is so easy and for others it takes for ever. I am keeping fx for all of us this month.

Baxter2014 · 28/01/2014 12:17

I am having a day of doubt today. I feel i cant trust my body anymore. I had all these symptoms and more last month and AF came right on time. I just keep reading all these stories on here about how it takes people forever and I feel like that's going to be me. Why can't it just be easy??!

Tutti · 28/01/2014 08:15

morning!

Yep symptom spotting is indeed a mare...every little thing and you are hoping its a 'sign' .....its awful really.

I am actually scared that when if af comes I will actually cry all over again like my miscarriage...

SwedeAway · 28/01/2014 04:45

Hi all, yesterday was filled with symptom spotting for me. Felt nauseous all morning and had very painful ovaries with the pain shooting down my thighs, very weird and it lasted all day. Also super constipated (sorry TMI). This morning, nothing to report so I guess I will put yesterday's symptoms down to my imagination:( Doesnt help that I am not sure if I am 7 or 8 dpo today and the fact that I really do not know when AF should arrive. I am determined not to POAS until after this coming weekend (I will need all the willpower in the world), if AF doesn't arrive that is. Yep, its the 2ww in full swing here.

Baxter2014 · 27/01/2014 23:01

Hey Tutti. All ok here. I'm getting a few mild twinges down below but nothing significant (def not like last month - had cramps for a week before AF came), boobs get the occasional tingle/stabbing pain but again, nothing like last month where they felt like swollen balloons. I have got spots and headaches tho! Who knows what's going on. Part if me doesn't think I'll be lucky enough to conceive again so soon. Anyone else symptom spotting? X

Tutti · 27/01/2014 21:40

Are you all ok?

GrinGrin

Tutti · 27/01/2014 17:25

Anyone got any symptoms??

I have an achey belly...but I honestly wouldn't know if I normally do...I just never take any notice normally.

noitsachicken · 26/01/2014 20:04

Thanks for the advice.
I'll just wait and see I suppose.

So frustrating to start again.

SwedeAway · 26/01/2014 17:56

Baxter- it all sound bloody positive to me. Def keeping fx for you.

Re maternity leave, here you are only entitled to 4 months unpaid leave, by law. At least I am lucky in that I get 4 months fully paid. Still, 4 months is not a lotHmm Anyway, I will cross that bridge when I get to it. For now, the 2ww is driving me nuts. Time has slowed right down for sure.

babytinks89 · 26/01/2014 14:59

haha I'm the same tutti, thinking this time next year I hopefully will be on maternity leave haha need a break from my work its doing my head in!!

I was just working out holidays for the year[covering school holidays...and I was like Hmm well hopefully I will get a bfp so I wont have to worry about October half break GrinWink

Baxter2014 · 26/01/2014 14:01

Hey all,
noitsachicken I think you can tell by the posts on here that everybody is different when it comes to cycles post-miscarriage. I counted my first day of MC bleed as CD1 and had my first AF on CD27 which is right for me. I didn't track my ovulation that cycle as I tried not to focus too much on TTC as I was so upset (we DTD but only a few times and not necessarily in the OV window). I did use OPK this cycle and got a positive at CD14. I did not do anymore after that tho so I am not sure if I would have a few days of LH surge like some of the other ladies on here are reporting. I did have really painful OV cramps tho a few days before which was new for me. Just try and listen to your body and do whats best for the both of you. MC is such a painful process and I am so sorry you are going through it.

So now I am on CD21. Yesterday (6DPO) I had a few mild cramps, headaches and my boob felt like someone was stabbing it. That plus I have 2 of the biggest spots on my face. I look hideous!! I had some pretty strong PG/PMS symptoms last cycle for the week before AF arrived so I dont want to symptom spot. I reckon I just have really high progesterone/progesterone sensitivity post-MC and it would be coming to the peak in my cycle round about now. This would account for all the symptoms and would not be connected to whether or not I have conceived this cycle. It would however increase my chances if conception has occurred, getting the old endometrium ready for implantation (fx). Maybe its the same for you swede it would certainly account for why women are more fertile after MC.

Anyway, I am TRYING not to read to much into it all and by this time next week I should have an answer one way or the other!! Hope all you other ladies are coping ok with the 2WW? Tutti I am sure you will have covered it so don't worry. Its confusing and who knows whats really going on Confused

SwedeAway · 26/01/2014 13:17

I went to see my gyno on the 8th Jan. He did a scan to make sure all was gone from the mc (which it was). He confirmed my left ovary was in the process of creating new eggs and he measured the eggs and said I was about cd8. I started my mc on the 27 Dec so counting 8 days back from the 8th Jan put my 'first day of bleeding' ie the first day of my cycle at 31 Dec. So in answer to your question, no my first 4 days of mc bleed did not count and I also Ov'd 4 days later than usual.

babytinks89 · 26/01/2014 13:12

GL angel!!

I'm cd9 so far, after second cycle with mc in november :(

BFP due 17-19th feb... Unsure when irregular cycles, after mc was 37 days before af came, then 34 days with af again! ttc again, i hope the feb bus is my bus stop!!

noitsachicken · 26/01/2014 13:00

Thanks.
Should I count from first day of bleeding?
I can usually tell when I ovulate, I think I just want to try and get on with it!

SwedeAway · 26/01/2014 10:54

Hi Noit, of course you can join! Sorry to hear about your mc. It's a horrible thing to go through.

My mc was end of Dec. I counted my mc bleed as AF and I Ov about 20 days after (being 4 days later than usual). We are ttc again as I have heard that one can be more fertile just after a mc. But it's not the same for everyone. Lots of people wait ages for Ov and AF after a mc.

My only advice is that you try to keep track of your body. When you think you should be Ov then use opk's to track. If you feel up to it then start ttc immediately when you Ov. If you are not sure then maybe waiting a cycle will do you good.

noitsachicken · 26/01/2014 09:27

Hi, can I join in?

Were some of you on Sept 2014 thread?
I just m/c at 6 weeks.

Will I ovulate before next AF ? Should I wait for AF before trying?

Scared to try again, I keep forgetting I'm not pregnant anymore.

SwedeAway · 26/01/2014 05:43

Tutti, I did have symptoms quite early last time but I think implantation happens later than 5 dpo? It sounds like you are in the same position as me as we got positive opk's around the same time and now the ovaries hurt again. I think you have done enough for this month but if you can dtd once more it can never hurtSmile I do remember that my ovaries hurt quite a bit during my last 2ww when I did get pg so I am keeping fx that this is a good sign for both of us.

Tutti · 25/01/2014 21:03

So ... I am confused ... I got a positive opk stick the other day .. Defo was as dark as control line ... And have had 3 more the same ....?!?

Yesterday had ovulation pain and today just horrible aching pain the same .... We missed Dtd last night and night before (as you know) but we Dtd this morning .. And plan to do tomorro ... Do you think that will cover us?

Or are we too late D'ya think ? And how comes my test stix are dark... They weren't .. I have kept them all to compare and check they were going dark or not.

God it's stressful this ttc larkSmileSmileSmile

Dh said earlier god I hope you get pregnant straight away ... Else I have to go through this next month too SmileHmmHmmSmileSmile

Swedeaway ... Did you get symptoms early before?

SwedeAway · 25/01/2014 17:53

Anyone else busy symptom spottingBlush Have had pain in my ovaries all day and this faint crampy feeling in my uterus area. Obviously know what I would like this to be but also sure that I could be totally imagining things. 2ww is starting to drive me nuts!

Baxter2014 · 24/01/2014 17:59

I think regardless of what plan we are following it is better to have relaxed and enjoyable sex than forcing it. I know in all my months of TTC we were sort of doing it to a schedule and I wouldn't put too much effort in. The last cycle we actually started enjoying it (and me too Wink IYKWIM) and it was when I got my BFP.

Try not to put too much stress on each other. People on here always says it can mess with your cycle if you stress too much and plus, you need each other more than anything during this shitness so try not to get too frustrated. Easier said than done I know - I have raged at DH a number of times when he wasn't in the mood.

Of all of these plans and stuff, people always say relaxing is the best method. As enraging as that is I would probably say it is the truth. I think maybe thats one part of this whole plan I am not following properly!!

Hope it goes well tonight! Make up for missing last night and really enjoy it - it may make all the difference in more ways than one xxx

Tutti · 24/01/2014 08:02

Thank you swedeaway

My logical side knows it's unrealistic to expect dh to be able to just perform on demand but my emotional sideSmilewell that's another story

We will try tonight ... Just sometimes the emotion of the past few weeks catches up I guess

SwedeAway · 24/01/2014 05:54

Oh Tutti, you are not too old. I am 38 so not far away from 40Smile I refuse to think I am too old. As for DH, don't be too upset. It's difficult for them to understand how we feel. Oh and performing after a schedule, never popular i guess. We all understand you so please feel free to off load whenever you want!

Tutti · 24/01/2014 03:20

thank you angelbabe

I think I was having a 'moment'.....

but am having another now...I am being pathetically stupid I know..but we are following smep..and so are supposed to be doing our stretch of 3 on miss a day and then again...except last night dh couldn't 'do it'....and I just feel so upsetBlush I know that if I don't get a bfp I will always wonder if that was cos we missed last nightBlush

I know I am over analyzing,i know ,and we will dtd tonight But I actually criedBlush

I never realized just how terrible a miscarriage can make you feel..how ignorant I was ...

that's what gives me faithangelbabe that we 'can' get pregnant at 40 ... I just hope it's soonGrin

angelgabe · 23/01/2014 22:06

If you're worried about your fertility ask for some blood tests....day 2/3 and day 21. That'll answer a lot of questions. Although given our recent MC's somethings working!
