Been away for a few days trying to wean myself off MN....shock horror!

Can't believe I chose these few days to beat the addiction.

Excellent news Twinkie

Congratulations to you, your DP and DD

Oooohhhh don't think there is a burton near me - there may be one in Eltham saying that - oooohhhh will have to try and have a look at the weekend when he in Portsmouth!!

Just had my hair cut and I feel all lovely now :

WideWebWitch · 05/03/2004 11:39

Twinkie, Burton have nice long sleeved red men's tops with "I'm the Daddy" written on them. Dp has one.

Northerner · 05/03/2004 10:22

Twinkie don't complain love. Milk it for all you can get!

Twinkie · 05/03/2004 10:20

Yep - have just tried but can't get one with long sleeves - why, can someone help me??

He has been really annoying - not letting me carry shopping - paper and a pasty (thought would treat him as he is home with DD today - he lurves pasties and I won't have them in the house cause the smell makes me gag even when I not preggers I like saying that < ), asking me every 5 minutes if I am alright, making me breakfast (admitedly a bowl of rice crispies did not stretch him!) and a cup of tea - 9 months of this will drive me barmy!!!!

No have to wait until I can't hide it anymore - don't want x2b getting wind of it - apparently it could effect divorce settlement!!

pollingfold · 04/03/2004 15:25

Congrats Twinkie. Wishing you, your DP, DD and "bump" the greatest happiness

dejags · 04/03/2004 15:24

Congratulations Twinkie & Mr Twinkie of course

Will you wait until your 12 week scan till you tell DD? What do you think her reaction will be?

Twinkie · 04/03/2004 15:19

God can't remember word for word but he was very intent on making it known that he was happy and as long as I was he was going to show just how happy he was.

It all seemed to be a blur with us making inappropriate jokes about nothing much really.

Spoke to him face to face - he made noises as if to say decision was down to me and I had to think about did I really want this - I was sooo upset and ignored him for a while, he got the drift and realised that the last thing I would ever contemplate was getting rid of a baby and I was truely happy - he was thrilled he just thought I would like to have had a year or so off of having major things happen in my life and me him and DD relax and enjoy each other.

He said he was over the moon and his initial reaction was down to shock and me being a bit weird - think he means that he was allowed to be in shock but not me!!

He is also dead pleased that his tackle all works and that he wasn't 'firing blanks' or a 'jaffa' - his words!!

Sorry that all garbled it was the most difficult lunchbreak I have ever had - he is soo pleased though - strutting around everywhere - he is almost thrusting his bits forward for the world to see what a big man he is - almost expected him to walk back to work jumping around saying 'who's the daddy, who's the daddy!!'

We gonna have a big cuddle tonight and do another test just to make sure - he also pleased that we can now have sex again after the enforced abstainence of not even a week!!
