So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Meant to say, I've started DC 2's cross stitch which is why I've been AWOL. Not enough hands, and it's very time intensive.

I did one for DD, so have to also do one this time. :-)

HungryHorace · 24/02/2014 08:48

Sorry about your BFN, Vicky, and welcome.

Toothpaste, hope today with the bitch goes well.

Metalhead, hope your DD is feeling better today and tomorrow goes well.

Mrs, work decided I'm going on secondment when I get back. So I'll work til 31+1 before finishing, which is better financially. Mat leave will start at 37 weeks which is fine by me. :-)

Metalhead · 23/02/2014 19:03

Oh and good luck at work tomorrow Toothpaste - hope the two-faced so-and-so leaves you alone.

I've got my yearly appraisal on Tuesday, not sure how I'm going to muster the energy to say anything positive about my job...

Metalhead · 23/02/2014 19:01

Evening all, hope everyone's had a nice weekend.

Sorry about your BFN Vicky, it's even more annoying when AF is late and you get your hopes up.

And sorry you're feeling so poorly morerum! You should definitely ask to be signed off, it sounds horrendous.

My parents came today and are staying with us for the week, which is nice. And good timing too, as it looks like DD has caught some sort of tummy bug so we might have to keep her off nursery tomorrow. We went out for pizza at lunch and when we got back home she complained of a tummy ache, then threw up all over the floor and fell asleep at 5pm! At first I thought she might have just eaten too much, but then I remembered a friend's DC had a vomiting bug last week and we saw them on Friday, so it's more likely that DD caught it off them.

2014 just isn't getting any better for us...

morerummorefun · 23/02/2014 16:36

Vicky5910 · 23/02/2014 08:53

Bfn this morning with af 2 days late...!

mrsm22 · 22/02/2014 22:50

Hi Toothpaste - sorry to hear you're not having a pleasant time at work. I think I may have missed some posts, what's going on there? I don't know if it's similar but I've been having a difficult time at work since last June when I went back after maternity leave. Our team was great before I left but someone started when I was on maternity leave, a woman much older than me who since I've come back has taken a real dislike to me and made work very hard for me and uncomfortable to say the least. She's done lots of different things.... I won't bore you with it but I can't wait to finish next Friday. When do you finish work?
Also sorry to hear about your little boy and his eating but try not to worry as it's probably a phase. My DS is going through an awkward stage with his eating too and it know how stressful it can be. For breakfast he loves a boiled egg and toast at the moment, which I know is great but lunch times can be difficult knowing what to give him as he tends to say no and shake his head at most things. He used to eat so much more like I could give him a bowl of spaghetti hoops for lunch or tomato soup but lately he just says no and if I'm lucky will have a couple of petit filous yoghurts and a fruit pot or fruit. He loves fruit and still has bottles of formula SMA. Tea times are trying too as there's a few meals he likes, spaghetti Bol, roast chicken, rice and pasta and fish which is a good variety but he won't try new things. I think it's just phases with them and stages. Tonight he wouldn't eat his tea and would only have yoghurts and some fruit and toast then a bottle before bed. Could teeth and teething be playing a part as I put that down to a lot of my DS's eating and also mine is too busy to eat. He would rather be busy playing than sitting down to eat. Great news though about your baby kicking, I feel mine a lot too and my DH puts his hand on my tummy to feel him kicking every night which is really nice. Have a good weekend and try not to think about Monday until it comes around x

Toothpastekissesno2 · 22/02/2014 22:30

Hi everyone sorry there has been some melt downs.last week was bloody awful for me with this work situation but am trying to draw a line and not waste any more tears. Pregnancy is tough sometimes and makes you feel quite vulnerable. But so does Ttc let's face it! Maybe it's just hard being a woman!
Sorry u fainted bitter that's awful!! Did u recover quickly?
My little boy has stopped eating again ConfusedConfusedConfusedConfused. Very exhausting. He isn't under weight so everyone says not to worry but it's not easy when he refuses everything but biscuits...
Baby is truly kicking now. Even dh has felt it. Much more so than ds was I think at this point.
It's nice to have u lot to chat to especially when having a low day. Might need it on Monday when I have to face the two faced one again!!Hmm
Night all x

mrsm22 · 22/02/2014 16:50

Hi Vicky - you'll have to decide when to take a test and see but I hope you do get your BFP. I've had the same symptoms both pregnancies, really bad tiredness in the beginning and I went off a lot of things. I'm 24 weeks and my DS was two at the end of December.
How is everyone else doing? Where is everyone today?

Vicky5910 · 21/02/2014 23:10

She is 3.5, we had talked about trying once we we're settle in our new house but she just arrived a bit before we were expecting! I remember everything tasting like sawdust over Xmas when I was about 4 weeks, that was my first symptom and I just thought my mum's cooking was bad and everyone else was too polite to say...!

mrsm22 · 21/02/2014 20:34

I was the same, I was 7 weeks pregnant with my DS when I found out. I'm now 24 weeks pregnant today with my second and I've been trying to remember how soon I felt things. I came off the pill and never had a period, I just had a light bleed after 4 weeks and that turned out to be implantation bleeding. I felt very tired. How old is your first DC?

Vicky5910 · 21/02/2014 20:05

Thanks for replying :) earliest I have seen is 7 days past conception, I should know what it's all about being my second but I was 6 weeks before I even realised with my DD as we were moving and I had a new job and everything was chaotic! Never had to symptom spot that time!

mrsm22 · 21/02/2014 20:04

Apparently 7 to 10 days after ovulation is when you might start to feel pregnant and show some of the symptoms.

mrsm22 · 21/02/2014 20:00

Hi Vicky - that's a tricky one but I'd probably say it's a bit soon. If you have conceived in the last 5 days I think it would take a couple of weeks for symptoms. I'll google it though and see.

Vicky5910 · 21/02/2014 19:53

Hi all, I wonder if I could you to put my mind to rest. If I am only 5 days past the day we dtd there is no way I can be having pregnancy symptoms is there? I feel deranged!

mrsm22 · 21/02/2014 13:15

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been on for a few days. How is everyone doing? I am just on my lunchh at work so i will have a read through to see what i've missed, i can see there are a few new names to get used to. Good luck to the new people, this thread started at the beginning of September and has been quite lucky for most so i hope it brings luck to the rest still waiting for BFP's and those who have just joined.
Well today I am 24 weeks! I feel huge but have been told i have a nice neat bump. I don't think i've put weight anywhere else (that i can see anyway) but i'm ok, just feeling tired. I have just two and a half days left at work next week after today so I can't wait for to finish.

Metal - How are you feeling? I hope you are doing ok. It must be so hard.

Hungry - What have i missed re your work situation? I see you are going back in two weeks. What was the decision in the end?

Better - Have you got or seen a new midwife yet? I see mine next Weds but i think I might take DH with me this time as he hasn't met her yet and i don't find her very friendly so thought she might be a bit nicer if he goes with me. What do you think?
Kt - How are you? Sorry you are suffering with headaches. I also sit infront of my laptop all day at work on a weds, thurs and friday so can suffer too. Although I'm never quie sure if it's tiredness!
Morerum - How are you? Have you sorted out finishing work?

Metalhead · 21/02/2014 09:19

Sorry AF got you loves. Hope you can enjoy your weekend anyway with lots of wine!

There must have been something in the water yesterday Swede, I had a bit of an emotional meltdown too and cried on and off for a couple of hours. Felt much better afterwards though, so maybe just needed to get it out of my system. As for cold meds, loves is right, paracetamol is about all you're allowed officially, though I think it varies slightly from country to country.

lovesmycake · 21/02/2014 08:34

Well AF showed up today so nae joy. But onwards and upwards and muchos Wine this weekend Smile.

I seem to remember paracetamol was about it when pregnant? Hope you feel better soon!

SwedeAway · 21/02/2014 05:19

Hello! Didn't check in yesterday as I had an awful day. Not sure what was wrong but I was very emotional and just felt like crying for just about everything. I think I am just stressed about the pregnancy and my new job etc etc and its getting to me a bit. Anyway, feeling lots better today although I think I am now coming down with a cold. Cant rememember what medicines you can/cannot take when pregnant. Oh the joy!

Happy Friday everyone.

Glad your GP was sympathetic Ginger, and has set the wheels in motion. She's probably right that stressing about it doesn't help, but I know it is sooo hard not to when you're in the middle of it!

Hope you're ok Better, do you know what made you faint? I nearly fainted on a packed train when I was pregnant with DD once, it was awful.

CallingAllEngels · 20/02/2014 17:51

Your GP sounds lovely ginger.

Expecting AF tomorrow and then ttc can finally begin again!

BetterNotBitter · 20/02/2014 17:45

Ps. Maybe one day we wont have consistent pregnancy symptoms hungry but will just have proper baby kicks all the time!

BetterNotBitter · 20/02/2014 17:43

That sounds really good ginger I was worried she might be dismissive but sounds like she was brilliant. Do you feel any better for going?

I had an awful moment today at lunchtime! Me & my mum took my niece & nephew out shopping for the day, I went to order in a packed restaurant, right in peak lunch time in half term and fainted at the counter! Sooooo embarrassing!

lovesmycake · 20/02/2014 11:30

So glad your appt went well ginger makes such a difference when you get understanding drs Smile

HungryHorace · 20/02/2014 10:23

Ah, she sounds lovely. :-) Glad you got somewhere.

You need to wait until you get your smiley, then book for 7 days after that as it should be 7 days after OV, not necessarily day 21. They don't explain that very well sometimes.

I'm sure you'll be pregnant before you get the counselling.
