So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Morning All, so no Ov for me yet. Did an opk this morning but the line is still rather faint (stronger than yesterday though so hopefully moving in the right direction). Did not dtd last night as per gyno's orders so gearing up for tonight again. DD is still playing up at night so trying to dtd with a 3 year old that does not want to go to bed is proving to be a bit tricky. Still, its got to be done!

All you google-monsters, stop it immediately, it will not do you any good!

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone,
My stats:
mrsm22 - I am currently 18 weeks pregnant and 3 days with number two. Same as Donnas I got pregnant within the first few weeks of TTC. I have one DS who has just turned two.
I am a massive worrier and stress head!

Kt1991 · 13/01/2014 21:00

engels glad you've received some good news, and a baby due on Boxing Day would be lovely but expensive!
I'm okay thanks monster and better cramps aren't too bad today but I have been weeing so much today! And very tired so think work will cotton on soon anyway!

Re. Telling people, we have told our parents siblings and grandparents, as we are very close to all of them and they would suspect something anyway! And will be relying on some of them to watch DS while we go to scans apts etc. also its my birthday on Wednesday, so people will wonder why I'm not having a drink! wont announce it properly till after the scan though!
How's everyone else doing? Good luck for POAS monster! Make sure you let us know!

Monstersaurus · 13/01/2014 19:09

Better I've gone all superstitious and don't want to tempt fate. There is the usual constellation of symptoms that may or may not point towards a BFP or a BFN depending on the mood I'm in. Hopefully there will be a happy result tomorrow and this is indeed our month.

If/when I do get a BFP we'll probably do the same as we did last time - tell siblings and parents as well as a few close friends at 6 weeks or so and then announce it properly after the 12 week scan.

Hope the 2WW flies in swede and claudee . Fingers crossed.

How are you feeling kt?

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 19:07

Oh, we've only told my sister and DH's mum so far. My mum has anxiety so we need to get the scan done before letting on so we know all is OK. At that point, at least.

I've told a few friends too.

After the scan we will tell other family members and then friends too.

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 19:06

Better, my lack of sickness is worrying me loads. Though I've been a bit nauseous today. Nothing to write home about though. I'm still preparing for the worst at my scan in 2 weeks' time. We need to avoid Google together!

And no, nothing from work. A full week late now. You'd think they'd make sure they got the procedure right, wouldn't you?

BetterNotBitter · 13/01/2014 18:27

I'm useless, forgot to ask hungry have you heard anything from work? And also, have you told anyone your pregnant other than parents etc? If not, when do you plan to announce? And the same question to everyone else! About his time or last time!?

BetterNotBitter · 13/01/2014 18:23

Oh and noyou has just reminded me! fantastic news engels

BetterNotBitter · 13/01/2014 18:22

Ok, lots to catch up on! I'm always rubbish at keeping up over weekends!

monster how are you feeling? Like this could be your month?

donna your spa break sounds brilliant! major points for you dh! Re drinking: personally, I wouldn't during first trimester (although like hungry & kt last time I had a massive night out at about 6 weeks as I didn't know I was pregnant) after that, I wouldn't avoid it like the plague and I'd definitely have one glass of something on an occasion like your birthday donna Other than that, I don't drink a great deal these days anyway. Stopped when pregnant last time, then for another 9 months while breastfeeding and gave never got into the habit of buying it again. Obviously when we go out I have drinks, but we don't have wine in an evening like we used to.

kt how are the cramps?

mrs! What are you like with google!! I'm the same as donna I had low lying placenta at 20 weeks last time and another scan at 32 weeks and it was all fine! I feel your google urge though, I've been resisting googling missed miscarriages for weeks as I still have the niggle all is not well. I'm just being an over worrier though (although don't even like saying that as feels like it's tempting fate!) I'm only basing concerns on having much fewer symptoms this time round, mainly no sickness. So I've stopped myself. Trying to adopt the attitude of what will be will be! Scan a week tomorrow so fingers crossed that will put my mind at rest!! Once baby is wriggling I'll be fine, it's these bloody early weeks!!

How is your ds atruth croup is just horrible! breaks your heart hearing them :(

I think that's everything, sorry to any I've missed, hi to newbies!!

Noyoucantwatchpeppapig · 13/01/2014 18:17

Nice new thread, I'll try and stay here and have less missing AF this time.
Good news on the hcg engles
I'm going to give it a month or 2 before trying OPKs

Noyoucanwatchpeppapig: 1st official cycle, DD 2.8 odd long 77 day cycle nov-jan.

BetterNotBitter · 13/01/2014 18:10

Hi guys. Will do a proper post replying to previous thread stuff in a sec but for now,

better dd 2 this week! 11+3 with no2. Fell pregnant on cycle 2 after having implant removed.

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 18:06

Good luck POAS tomorrow Monster! A day early is nothing. :-)

Monstersaurus · 13/01/2014 17:24

Good to hear about the hcg Engels.

Hungry, I've resisted today but might have a cheeky wee poas tomorrow. Only a day early, fingers will be well and truly crossed.

Almost forgot! Monstersaurus. TTC since October (cycle 3). DS is 19 months.

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 16:07

And excellent news re the hcg too, Engels. :-)

DD is finally cutting her first tooth. About bloody time!

HungryHorace · 13/01/2014 16:06

I've got two boxes of Clearblue OPKs too, Metal!

I might pop mine onto eBay though as I bought 4 boxes for £60 so wouldn't mind a little bit back!

Metalhead · 13/01/2014 16:00

Great news Engels, glad you can finally move on. And sod's law says you'll get pg second month then! Wink

Just like I shelled out loads of money on some expensive Clearblue opks in December before I got my BFP... (hanging on to them for now until I've passed the 12-week mark, but will be happy to donate them to a good home after that.)

Welcome to all the newbies, and good luck!

SwedeAway · 13/01/2014 15:33

Engels, great news! All systems go for you then. Very pleased to hear this!

Lucy, yes it's all a guessing game isn't it. One part of me wants to stick with gyno's recommendation (think he should know what he is talking aboutSmile), but my ttc brain is telling me to dtd as much as possible, what if I miss a window by dtd every other day...My opk is still not giving me a positive but my left ovary is hurting a bit so I am hoping its in process.

Hi to any newbies! This is a good thread to join as all ladies are lovely and supportive.

CallingAllEngels · 13/01/2014 14:56

Anyone else find themselves playing with due date calculator when ttc? Blush

Everytime we've used opks I've had a BFP in 2 or 3 months so hoping it'll happen fairly quickly when we start trying again in 6 weeks. Though have just calculated that if I get pg in the 2nd month I'd be due on Boxing Day!

CallingAllEngels · 13/01/2014 14:47

Just had call from hospital to say HCG is 1 so all clear and no need to go back. About bloody time! Almost 3 months since mc - can't believe it's taken this long! Have already missed ov this month anyway which makes me feel better about waiting.

welcome to everyone just stepping on board!

Lucyjojo · 13/01/2014 14:03

Excellent new thread Swede!
Hi again Engels!
Lucy cycle 7 of ttc #2. DD is 2 and conceived 2nd cycle.

Will do another opk in a few hours I think, and maybe dtd tonight then wednesday night. It was after what you said your gynae said Swede that got me thinking maybe we've peaked too soon. Maybe I'll skip tonight and go for tomorrow night instead...or wait and see what the opk says. God it's all just such a guessing game!!!

claudeekishi · 13/01/2014 12:57

Happy to keep you company during the 2ww swede, and really sorry about your recent mc.

Hello to everyone else!

Kt1991 · 13/01/2014 12:54

Thanks for the new thread swede!

Kt-1991 5/6 weeks pregnant -cycle 4, but over 6 months. Ds who will be 3 on 1st Feb :)

Good luck to those waiting for their BFPs :)

guinnessgirl · 13/01/2014 12:28

adding to the roll call - Guinnessgirl, DS aged 3, ttc #2 since Nov 2013. Smile

SwedeAway · 13/01/2014 12:15

Welcome claudee! This has been a lucky thread so far with plenty of bfp's. I shall be joining you in the 2ww the day after tomorrow. I am due to Ov tomorrow but although it feels like Ov is on its way, I can't be sure as I had a mc in Dec and therefore not sure how my cycle will perform this month. Fx for a quick 2ww for us!
