So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Meant Angry

Sorry for the meneme post though, and huge congratulations to the bfps I've seen so far!

utopian99 · 16/01/2014 08:14

Happy birthday for yesterday kt!

Sorry I've been gone for ages again but I clearly wasn't getting anywhere with no af while still bf O. As of Sunday he is now fully weaned (and seems happy about it so I don't feel too bad,) so hopefully I either have af or a bfp within the next 6 weeks. Asked the health visitor who said if not by then to get the doctor to have a check.

We're going to stop trying mid Feb to end of march anyway though so as to miss O's birthday and Christmas - I'm so pissed off with my stupid body for this. I know loads of people who are now pg and still feeding. [argh]

Metalhead · 16/01/2014 08:13

You can't beat private healthcare for speed!

I think this is probably what happened with my last WTF cycle Swede, I had all the usual ov symptoms at the right time but then something (probably stress) must have stopped the process and so I only ov'd 2 months late. Not saying that this will happen to you here, just so you know that even if you do ov really late you can still get a BFP if you dtd at the right time! So I'd keep going with the opks until you get a positive.

I feel awful today, DD woke at 5.45am this morning for a poo, then DH got up at 6.15 to go to work, and just as I'd managed to drop off again it was time for me to get up! This is going to be a very loooong day...

Sorry about your work Hungry, that's rubbish! When do you have to go back?

HungryHorace · 16/01/2014 07:29

That's really good to get a speedy response.

I'd say it's looking good for later OV if he saw the follicle in the left and you're aching on the left. Just have to keep DTD. :-)

I really hope it works out for you this cycle.

claudeekishi · 16/01/2014 07:08

That's an amazing response swede! Glad you have some facts, even if they're frustrating at the mo.

Chinese - af/bfp due here on 27th, and it's cycle 2 for me too. Not overly hopeful but it's very early days I guess.

SwedeAway · 16/01/2014 06:43

This is why I love private health care (not that we have a choice of anything else here). I emailed my gyno this morning and already received a response. This is what he said:

^I remember clearly seeing a large, what appeared to be dominant follicle in your left ovary.
There are some cycles when those large follicles do not ovulate, we are not certain of the reason. In your case I expect that you will ovulate or did ovulate just a little later than expected.

I would not worry about it too much.

A cycle where no ovulation takes place will not be followed by a normal period.^

So, it seems that even if there are eggs, one necessarily does not ovulate. Glad he answered my question but now not sure at all if and when I will Ov. Ah well, I will dtd as planned and hope for the best. Maybe next cycle will be more certain.

Lucy - I have no idea if I am using them correctly. Following instructions really and thought this was right. Starting to think that maybe I am doing it wrong (although last time when I got pg I used this Opk which indicated when I was Ov and I then managed to get pg).
Anyway, none of the pharmacies close to where I work has got the digital opk so I have to look somewhere else but since I am stuck at work this wont be until the weekend:( My left ovary is hurting a bit this morning so I am hoping this is a good sign. Will dtd tonight (if DH is up for it) and possibly tomorrow as well. I am going to email my gyno this morning. I just want to find out about the eggs, ie as he saw and measured the eggs does that mean that I will Ov this month or can it still skip a month. Will let you know what he says.

Happy Birthday for yesterday Kt - Hope you got thoroughly spoilt!

Happy birthday Kt, and congratulations monster! Lovely news!

My stats: chinesefireball - ttc#2 cycle 2 bfp due around 28 jan.

HungryHorace · 15/01/2014 22:12

Happy birthday, Kt! :-)

My boobs are only sore if pressed. Shame DD is obsessed with squashing them. Sigh. They're also HUGE!

Lucy, work refused my request, so I'm now appealing. So much fun. Not!

Cheapie OPKs are a nightmare. I find them so hard to do properly.

Metalhead · 15/01/2014 21:38

Haha ATruth - you might have missed my announcement amid all the festive cheer, I got my BFP on New Years Eve!

Kt happy birthday! Hope you had some nice lunch with your mum. I had a lot of cramps too for the first two weeks, now they're just every few days. But my boobs are really painful, I'm knackered and nausea is also ramping up (though it's more afternoon and evening sickness, mornings seem to be alright!). Oh, and I'm freezing all the time and weeing a lot... so I guess that's quite a few symptoms. I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure you'll feel suitably awful soon enough! Wink

Lucy hope you manage to dtd tonight, but don't beat yourself up about not doing it yesterday - I seriously doubt that this will have affected your chances this cycle.

donnas1984 · 15/01/2014 20:10

happy birthday kt! hope you had a lovely day Thanks

Lucyjojo · 15/01/2014 20:00

Hi everyone. How annoying you haven't heard anything Metal, can't believe no one has been in touch with you to make an app or scan!
Swede are you just doing ics? Sounds ridiculous I know and please don't be insulted but are you using them correctly!? I struggle with them to pick a time to use them as I can't go very long without weeing!! They do add to the frustration don't they. Hope you manage to get some clearblue ones, or rather hope you don't need them at all!
We couldn't be bothered dtd last night, will go again tonight though. Hope it won't make a difference, will be so annoyed if I've scuppered my chances by missing out yesterday. Will try not to peak too early next time, and try and use the opks properly so that I can rely on them as to when to get stuck in with dtd!! Can you tell I'm not feeling hopeful? Sad
Hungry what's the latest from work?
Kt HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!! Cake and Flowers heading your way! It's still early days for you to be getting many symptoms really yet. Cramps are normal though!

Kt1991 · 15/01/2014 19:19

Sorry hit post too soon! I would like to know how far gone I was! Metal I've had cramps all day today worried as that's the only symptom atm other than sore boobs and being knackered. It's my birthday today so went shopping and for lunch with my mum. Was lovely, but couldn't manage anymore shopping!

Kt1991 · 15/01/2014 19:16

Evening everyone how are you all? That's frustrating metal hope they send your scan through soon! If that was me I would like t

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 15/01/2014 18:28

Metal did I miss your bfp (or was i just too knackered to remember it?) Congratulations!!

SwedeAway · 15/01/2014 15:15

Monster, yes it is a pain. You can walk into your normal supermarket and they will be totally out of stuff like milk or butter, it's crazy.

Will keep doing the opk's, all I can do really.

OP posts:
Metalhead · 15/01/2014 14:39

Monster they didn't really say, but considering the scan is to determine how far along I am you'd think they'd try and get it done ASAP! For all they know, going by my last period and last negative test before my BFP I could already be 9 weeks now (which I'm certain I'm not, but they don't know that.)

Monstersaurus · 15/01/2014 14:00

Metal that must be frustrating! When should your early scan be?

Swede, ultrasound must be a reasonable way of looking at eggs. Sounds like you're doing all the right things. Shopping like that would drive me mad. It must make life tricky at times.

SwedeAway · 15/01/2014 13:38

Thanks Metal - that gives me some hope. Will keep testing and dtd and hope for the best this month.

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 15/01/2014 12:32

Argh, Metalhead, that'd wind me up! I hate waiting too.

Metalhead · 15/01/2014 11:53

Swede the egg may just take a little longer to mature this cycle. I'd keep testing until you get a +opk.

Just rang the midwives to make a booking appt, but the one responsible for my area is off sick, and her stand-in is on holiday, so will have to wait until one of them comes back. Still no word from the hospital about my early scan either... I hate waiting!

SwedeAway · 15/01/2014 11:01

Hungry - yes that is a problem here. Even though you visit a chain store, what you find in one you may not find in another (same with supermarkets). Its totally frustrating if you really want to get something and you cant find it. Going to keep up the dtd as much as possible and in the meantime go out and search for digis. I also thought that if the eggs were there, one must pop but I may be wrong.

OP posts:
Monstersaurus · 15/01/2014 10:54

Not done a digi but now done three non-digis, all very positive. Took 2 cycles last time. Midwife is a week on Tuesday which is very exciting.

HungryHorace · 15/01/2014 08:59

We take stuff for granted here, I think.

Is generally most stuff accessible for you or is your choice quite selective?

Let's hope you get a positive soon...if your eggs were developing one has to pop out, surely? As long as you both keep up the good effort, you'll catch it, I'm sure!

Have you done a digi, Monster? How long did it take last time?

SwedeAway · 15/01/2014 08:27

Monster - so happy for you! Get that booking appointment asap! Exciting times.

I am going out to hunt for digital tests but I think it will have to be tomorrow as I have back to back meetings until 3pm today.

DH is being a real trooper for sure Smile Very impressed with his efforts.
