So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Hello, may I join?
DS is 22mo, unplanned, so not used to TTC at all.
We planned to start TTC next month, but DTD without protection on DH's birthday earlier this month and now am really struggling to stop myself from hoping, just hoping, that I might have another surprisingly speedy conception. Haven't been doing any formal chating or OPKs just using a fertility app so not even sure if it was near to OV.
AF due tomorrow, according to app, and am rapidly losing the battle to be relaxed about TTC. We haven't even formally begun Confused.

Have skimmed through and will try to catch up with everyone but just to say better hope you are feeling not too bad tonight. Maybe the a&e can test on Mondays even if not on weekends, so worth another call?

HungryHorace · 19/01/2014 21:51

Locket?! Dear oh dear. Lovely, I assume!

Ooh, good luck with the scan...still a week til mine. Dietician for DD tomorrow though.

donnas1984 · 19/01/2014 21:45

well I got a necklace if that counts as a locket birthday hungry haha xx
I have my 20 week scan tomorrow at 11am feeling quite anxious x

HungryHorace · 19/01/2014 21:34

I was hungry too, Donna. And also in a hotel! :-/

I hope you had a locket birthday.

I've never used eye cream...I'll just be haggard, ha ha!

Lucy, yes, we're home now, thank god. I think you're right about the pillow. I must dig out 'the Labrador' (named because of how much room it takes up in the bed) as it hurts to lie on my side. That could be the problem, actually. You're a genius!

I'm glad your mum was sympathetic. And I'm sure it'll happen for you. It's crap waiting though, I know. :-(

We had a lovely time away. DD was very good :-)

donnas1984 · 19/01/2014 21:32

lucy that's rubbish I posted then 1st class almost 2 weeks ago! I have proof post so I think I can claim my money back. Sorry I hope you get some soon xx
birthday was great dd sang happy birthday very loudly to me at dinner tonight was very cute Smile

LucyJoJo · 19/01/2014 21:14

Ah this was your birthday weekend Donna! Happy Birthday! Did you have a lovely time? How are you feeling apart from the not sleeping?
Eye cream oh no...I've always wondered what age to start....
Also I keep forgetting to mention, the pee sticks never turned up Confused. Bloody rubbish royal mail, hope it didn't cost you too much to send them Angry.

LucyJoJo · 19/01/2014 21:11

Are you home now Hungry? DId you have a nice time? Pain doesn't sound like much fun, neither does not sleeping! It's all just fun and games isn't it this conception/pregnancy stuff! Might be worth asking someone tomoz if you can about it. Have you got those body pillows in bed with you yet? they helped me get a bit more rest, but I did suffer with insomnia alot when pg. Which is strange because I love my sleep and could sleep for my country! Luckily DD seems to be taking after me....
Metalhead get yourself an early night and I hope all goes well tomorrow.
Swede I think go with the car you want!! You deserve it after all you've been through! Sleeping with the competition hey...tut tut!!!
Better I so hope it's not a MC, surely at the stage you're at there would be lots of blood if you were miscarrying? What time is your app on Tuesday?
I had a pretty emotional day yesterday. It all just got a bit much and I couldn't seem to stop crying. I ended up telling my parents too, my mum could sympathise easily with me, she had a horrendous time when starting out a family. I'm not feeling confident for this month, so am really going to throw everything at it next month, hopefully I can convince DH to lay off the booze, he's not a heavy drinker but likes a beer every few nights, but I'm thinking sober as a judge all month, minimal caffeine, no processed foods etc etc. It can't hurt for one month and if it doesn't work then at least I know I've tried. i also will book a Drs app if this cycle is a fail in the hope I can tempt fate.

donnas1984 · 19/01/2014 21:05

better hope you are ok? id try to get seen tomorrow as the not knowing must be driving you insane. fx its all ok xx
metal get an early one lol xx
hungry I feel your insomniac pain! im waking ip at 3-4am starving lol its fine when your at home but last night all I had to munch on was some complimentary border biscuits haha spa treat was lovely even if I did fall asleep 10 minutes into it - the therapist iuld have gome for her lunch for all I knew haha!
so im now in the 30's gang time to start using thst eye cream s little more regularlyConfused xx

HungryHorace · 19/01/2014 20:11

Metalhead, sounds like a lovely day. I agree you should egg an early night though. Sounds like a long and tiring day tomorrow. :-/

And no, I don't sleep during the day. :-( I wanted to the other day but DD is teething and wouldn't sleep so I couldn't!

I'm quite achey / sore on the right hand side, but seems too high up to be pregnancy related, but I'm not sure. Wondering if I should call the EPU tomorrow. I'm at the hospital anyway, so it might be worth at least asking if they think I should be worried.

Metalhead · 19/01/2014 19:26

Evening all! Better I've got everything crossed for you that it was just a random bleed and not a mc. But if you're saying the cramps are getting worse I would try and get seen tomorrow. Like Hungry said, maybe ring midwives again and see what they say?

Hungry I'm not surprised you're shattered if you're up for 3 hours every night! Are you getting any sleep during the day?

Well my friends' little boy was just so adorable, and very chilled - not like my DD was at that age... I was so tired though and felt really sick, so I couldn't enjoy myself as much as I'd have liked to. Still, I'm glad we went.

Not looking forward to having to go into London for a work conference tomorrow though. Think I might have to head to bed shortly to try and recharge my batteries!

SwedeAway · 19/01/2014 15:52

Yes I think doing the opk's will drive me nuts!

You are right about the car, it's mine so I should decide. DH works at a bank (not the same one as me, our biggest competitors actuallyGrin).

OP posts:
HungryHorace · 19/01/2014 15:41

Is there no EPU who can just book you in for a scan, Better? That's not ideal if not, is it? Is it worth calling the midwives again tomorrow to see if there's a better solution than A&E? I agree it's not ideal with DD though. :-/

And my missing sleep is all in one chunk. I'm wiped out, it has to be said. :-(

Probably best for your sanity to leave it for now, Swede. Though EOD DTD is a good idea!

And as for the car, it's your choice! Your car, so your DH can have an opinion but no say, ha ha! What does he do for a job?

SwedeAway · 19/01/2014 15:31

Hungry - leaving the opk's for now I think. I usually can feel my Ov so if it arrives I should know. Going to wait out AF now so I can get my cycle right again. Will keep dtd every other day I think, just in case.

We are having huge car disagreements at home. I want something practical, been looking at the Ford EcoSport which I like. DH only drives BMW and wants me to get one of those but I hate those cars (far too expensive in any event). Anyway, we'll see what I end up with...

BetterNotBitter · 19/01/2014 15:06

And thanks Claude how's things with you?

BetterNotBitter · 19/01/2014 15:05

I agree hungry it might not be, yesterday when the bleeding started and the pain followed I was fully convinced the bleed would increase and it was a miscarriage but now the bleed hasn't increased! seems to be slowing if anything so fingers crossed it's not. I think that as I've always had that funny feeling this time I was almost expecting it, hopefully not. The only way to get a scan tomorrow would be to go and wait in a&e and I'd have to go alone and take dd and that would just be a nightmare, especially if a& e wait time was long! I obviously wouldn't hesitate if bleeding increased or if I got really ill though.

I've had a few thoughts of what of we go to the scan and they say 'it's fine! good strong heartbeat!' But think its dangerous to indulge in wishful thinking!!

Anyway! Enough about me!!

Is your 3 hours up all in one chunk hungry or broken up? I bet you're shattered :(

claudeekishi · 19/01/2014 14:00

Better
Flowers

So sorry you're having a rotten time of it. Hope you can get scanned asap.

Sounds like you need to get a hot chocolate and book and just go to bed and let dh deal with dd.

HungryHorace · 19/01/2014 13:23

Better, it may not be an MC. I really hope it's not. But I understand about not getting your hopes up. Could you have a scan tomorrow instead of Tuesday, just so you have an idea sooner rather than later?

And boo to your DH being an uncharacteristic nuisance. Strange creatures, men!

And we are having a lovely weekend, thank you. :-)

Swede, it really is a wtf cycle, isn't it? Are you going to keep checking for OV? Or just wait?

Excellent that your DD liked ballet. :-)

What car are you getting?

I'm so tired. I have about 3 hours awake every night in the middle of the night almost every night it's exhausting. :-/

BetterNotBitter · 19/01/2014 08:53

Thanks everyone. Bleed has continued but not increased in volume, still hasnt been a huge amount and there must be alot more to come. Cramps are awful now though, they seem to be getting worse.

Such a difficult one as dont want to 'look on the bright side' and try to think things are ok as that will most likely be setting myself up for a huge fall. But on the other hand, dont want to be over dramatic and worry everyone until its confirmed.

Was just at home yesterday with dd & dh, which id thought would be fine as dh is usually amazing but yesterday was uncharacteristically unhelpful!! He Decided to move all the upstairs furniture around and left a huge mess & was unusually rubbish with helping with dd. Bloody men!!!

I dont feel particularly sad yet as its not been confirmed so trying not to think about it but am exceptionally emotional, which I hate!!

Hppe youre having a nice weekend away hungry.

sorry your wtf cycle is being such a pain swede, are you going to get back in touch with your doctor?

Have a lovely day woth your friends metal.

Metalhead · 19/01/2014 07:44

Better hope you're ok. Also thinking of you here.

Swede don't be so sure you won't ov this cycle - on my WTF cycle I ov'ed on CD67! Hopefully you won't have to wait that long though.

We're going to visit some friends and their 2-month-old today. Really looking forward to seeing them, though I'll probably be shattered by then end of the day from all the driving and not letting on how sick I feel...

SwedeAway · 19/01/2014 05:10

Better, are you ok? Thinking of you.

Nothing to report here. No AF, no Ov. Think Ov is so overdue now that it won't happen this cycle. According to 'normal chart' I should be 5 dpo but don't think that's right either. Until something occurs I will not know.

Took DD to her first ever ballet lesson yesterday. She just loved it! Going to test drive a new car today. Need to get rid of my current one and get something slightly bigger. Love test driving but hate buying. Feels like wasting money but you cannot live here without a car (as no public transport).

How is everyone today?

Lucyjojo · 18/01/2014 20:36
