So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

You're right Hungry, I'll probably just see a little pulsating blob! Grin

I think my EDD is 10 or 11 September Kt, when's yours? You must be not far behind me.

Sorry you're in pain Windy, a couple of friends have had SPD and it sounds pretty awful. Hope you can get some physio or something to help.

Swede and Lucy, I've got everything crossed for you to get your BFPs this month!

My nausea seems to have increased over the last couple of days, feeling sick as a dog now for most of the day, as well as being constantly exhausted. Bleurgh. At least I haven't actually been sick, and I don't have that awful aversion to certain smells I had last time (the smell of my house made me gag, which was very unfortunate!).

LucyJoJo · 22/01/2014 08:53

OOh lots of exciting scans and updates coming up!
Better I am so pleased for you that everything is ok, I was thining of you yesteday and kept checking in for an update! You must have been so relieved, and what wonderful news for you. I hope you don't hsve any more bleeding and it is all smooth sailing for you now.
Windy I had SPD with DD. I can't remember when it started, but I did have to take early sick leave from one of my jobs (which involves lots of standing) pretty early on, about 10 weeks earlier than I was due to I think. I never had physio or exercises for it, my Dr just said it's one of those things that comes with pg and will go away as soon as baby is born, and it did! I didn't have crutches or anything, but it was pretty painful walking, I got intense pain on the right hand side of my pelvis, felt like the bones were grinding together everytime I moved Shock I used lots of pillows imbetween my legs at night time to ease the pain a bit. I just had to take it easy basically, and wait for the baby to be born! I can imagine it would be hard work when you have to run around after a toddler though. Anyway, sorry for the negative post, but that is just my experience. Hopefully if you can get to the midwife early on you will get exercises and some help if it does turn out to be SPD. I suppose I didn't really pursue it as much as I should have done, I just took things very easily and waited for the baby to be born!!! Drove DH mad as I was walking so slowly everywhere....Oh and I had one of those gym balls and doing a few pelvic exercises on that and just rocking on it did help ease the pain actually. Might be worth getting one?

Kt1991 · 22/01/2014 08:28

Hey everyone sorry not posted for a while, I have been reading though just not had chance to post! Thats wonderful news better! bet you feel very relieved! I’m constantly on knicker watch all the time cause I’m so worried something bad is gonna happen. I know it’s still early but I don’t have that many symptoms yet. I have my midwife apt in 2 weeks, feels so long away though, then gotta wait probably 3/4 weeks after that for my scan :(
Hope you both get your BFPS this cycle lucy and swede seems like you have done everything you can!
windy sorry your in pain, my friend had SPD in her last pregnancy and I really felt for her cause she was so uncomfortable all the time. Hope it’s not that serious for you.
Welcome to more newbies too :) this thread is lucky thanks to mrs :)
Good luck for everyones scans coming up! metal what do you think your EDD is?

HungryHorace · 22/01/2014 08:24

Utopian, is there an update from you at all?

Lucy, fingers crossed for Saturday. It may be a day too soon though! :-) Baby would be fine if you got plastered had a few drinks, however. DD proves that after I had 6 a few bottles of fruity cider the day before my BFP after having had a BFN before going out!

Windywinston · 22/01/2014 08:19

Thanks all. Going to call my mw today as I'm not due to see her for another 2 weeks and she might suggest that I need to see the GP instead. I'll look up the SPD threads too. It's not as bad this morning, pain is only triggered when I move my right leg - walking would only be painless if I dragged my right leg along! I'm just relieved it's improved a bit, but I'm shattered as the pain kept me awake for ages.

Swede your DH is a star! I really hope you get your BFP.

Engels how are you getting on?

Lucy I'm keeping my fx for your POAS party on Saturday!

HungryHorace · 22/01/2014 08:15

Awww, 7.5 weeks is a jellybean with a heartbeat! It's amazing how much they change between then and 12 weeks!

Bloody insane dream this morning. Can't even begin to describe it!

Metalhead · 22/01/2014 07:55

mrsm my scan's at 2.40 on Tuesday! I'll only be about 7.5 weeks though, so yours is probably going to be more exciting than mine. Still, hoping to see something resembling a baby or at least a heartbeat.

CallingAllEngels · 22/01/2014 06:11

better that is lovely to hear. Great news.

HungryHorace · 22/01/2014 06:03

I think you've done well, Swede. :-)

Really hope it pays off and you get your BFP.

Good luck! (This may be the longest 2WW ever though, sorry. :-/ )

SwedeAway · 22/01/2014 04:50

Better that is fantastic news!!! I am so so happy that all is well! What a relief.

So managed to dtd last night again (I keep saying it but DH really is a trooper). I went to bed last night to read and 5 mins later he came in and said 'let's do this'! So I think, given the circumstances and a WTF cycle we have done what we can this month dtd wise. I dont want to overdo it, just in case but we must have hit the most fertile part of the month. Today my ovaries are no longer hurting so I guess the main part of Ov is over. Now entering the 2ww, oh the joy!!

HungryHorace · 22/01/2014 00:32

ATruth, I'm exactly the same as you. Poor DH keeps bring told how worried I am about it. I feel like I have to manage his expectations. :-/ I've had barely any symptoms today. Just have to try to keep calm. My boobs haven't shrunk, so I'm taking the epic cleavage as a good sign!

I'm already massive, ATruth. But I still had a bump from my separated abs, so there was no hope!

And it's at 11am, mrs. 12 weeks still seems ages away as I'm only 10+6 tomorrow! I'd still love the baby to be 4 weeks further on, but knows that the chances of that are super slim. :-)

Windy, I've no experience of SPD or PGP. When are you seeing the midwife next? I hope you get some relief soon.

Good luck to everyone needing their DH / DP to man up and do his stuff!

HazyShadeOfWinter · 21/01/2014 22:59

Great news better! What a joy to see the little one flipping around in there Grin

Windy I had SPD with DC1, though not very severe - pretty mild pain that I coped with fine until about 30/31 weeks when it began to get worse and I went to GP. Was referred for physio which really helped - except by the time I got to the physio I was so far along it was just a few weeks til birth. So I'd say get to the GP soon and try to get referred. I had exercises which helped, and a bump band type thing to support hips.

guinnessgirl · 21/01/2014 22:50

oh Better, that's so wonderful! I actually cried a bit reading your post - really delighted that all is well.

So DH and I were supposed to DTD tonight but he's had a cold since yesterday morning and is feeling rubbish, so I've let him off on the condition that we try tomorrow instead... really want to make the most of fertile window this week and next month, as we've agreed not to TTC at all in March to avoid another Dec birthday and it would be SO lovely to have another little one before next year. Am I overthinking it? Wink

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 21/01/2014 22:18

X post. Thanks windy.
In othet news, I seem to have a bump!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 21/01/2014 22:17

windy - I have no experience of spd, but pretty sure there are threads about it. I'm sure I've seen an spd support thread. Worth posting there for advice? I got sciatica last time I was pg and saw a chiropractor who helped. I think my gp referred me so she might be a good first step.

Thanks mrs - I'm freaking myself out!

Windywinston · 21/01/2014 22:15

It's symphysis pubis dysfunction, basically the front of your pelvis pops out of alignment and is incredibly painful. I'm hoping I've just pulled something and it will get better but I'm in so much pain, just thought it worth mentioning in case anyone has any experience.

So lots of scans coming up. ATruth, I know how you feel about scans, I always worry before them too, but it's perfectly normal for pregnancy symptoms to come and go, I'm sure everything will be perfect for you, especially as you've had an early scan.

mrsm22 · 21/01/2014 22:07

Hi Hungry and ATruth - brilliant news both your scans are coming up soon. Hungry I told you it wouldn't be long until you reached the 12 week mark! I will text you Hungry on Monday, what time is your scan? I'm 2.30 on tues.
ATruth - don't be nervous. Everything will be fine, just be excited. I am the worst for worrying so I know it's easy for me to say, I'm also nervous about my 20 week scan next week. I am counting down the days and praying my placenta isn't low and that all is ok.
Windy - I'm sorry to hear you're having discomfort and unfortunately haven't any experience of it to share or try help. Sorry to be stupid but what does it actually stand for?

claudeekishi · 21/01/2014 22:06

Oh Better, I'm so thrilled for you. Can just imagine how emotional you and dh must have felt. Lovely to hear this news.

Windywinston · 21/01/2014 21:55

I'm so pleased for you Better, that's such brilliant news! It must be such a relief. The bleeding may be triggered by your illness maybe?

I think I might have SPD. Does anyone have any experience of this? I've been struggling with discomfort in the back of my pelvis for a couple of weeks, then today I was bending over sorting through washing then did DD's bath. I lifted her out the bath and since then I've had real pain in the front of my pelvis and every time I move my legs I get shooting pains up the front of my pelvis. It's so painful I can barely walk so have been in bed with a hot water bottle ever since! I can't live like this for the next 4 months, I have a job and a child!!!

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 21/01/2014 21:32

My 12w scan is two weeks tomorrow. I'm freaking out a little. My symptoms are coming and going so I'm panicking.

HungryHorace · 21/01/2014 20:52

That's fantastic, Better. I've been so worried about you. I'm over the moon all is well. xx

Yes, mrs, scan on Monday at 11+4. Really worried about it...hope my concerns are unfounded.

mrsm22 · 21/01/2014 20:48

Oh Better, that's amazing wonderful news!!! I'm so thrilled for you because I must admit, I was worrying for you. Often bleeding is unexplainable. But hard not to panic. I'm knicker watching every day, which is silly but you all know what a worrier i am! So pleased for you! x
I'm 19 weeks plus 4 days. 20 weeks on Friday and scan next tues. I'm really looking forward to the scan but also nervous as this is the big one really and just want all to be ok. I have been feeling baby move though, more than fluttering but not quite a kick. I love it though.
Better - did you say you were at SAHM?

Metalhead · 21/01/2014 20:48

Yay Better!!! I'm so so pleased to hear your good news!

mrsm I've also got my first scan next Tuesday - we can be scan buddies Grin.

ATruthUniversallyAcknowledged · 21/01/2014 20:45

That's brilliant Better. I am so pleased for you. Been thinking of you all day and am so happy to read that update.

BetterNotBitter · 21/01/2014 20:43

Sorry I haven't reported back sooner! Had manic time picking dd up etc.

All is well!!!!!!!

Hurrah!!!! The sonographer was amazing when we told her about bleeding etc she made sure she found baby & heartbeat instantly. Dh was in bits! I couldnt believe it as ive been bleeding again this monring but no sinister reasons apparently, unexplained. 13+1 due 28th july. Very active little thing aswell, backflipping and squirming about all over. Unbelievably relieved and surprised.

Thanks so much for all the support the last few days, it makes such a difference as I find I can speak more freely on here than in RL. Thank you mrs for starting the thread and everyone else for joining!!!

mrs I was wondering where youd been!! Bet youre getting excited for scan!!

donna how was it yesterday?

lucy I hope you cant drink at the party due to a bfp!!! How are you feeling? Hows dd? Anymore sickeness?
