So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

ginger shes absolutely fine shes one of those people who see a positive in everything. She's off to Spain for her friends hen weekend then going to Mexico with her husband for a second honeymoon. They got married in Cyprus last year and it was abit like the waltons all the family in thr same villa! Slightly jealous of her lovely holiday it looks amazing!
How are you keeping when are you next to poas?
hungry my friend got the citymini double 2nd hand on a Facebook selling page it, her dds are 2 and 7 weeks, im on the look out for a buggy board and would really like a baby swing - not the one you hang from the door but battery ones that are similar to bouncy chairs.

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 30/01/2014 22:57

guiness is it EWCM you are getting or more discharge-y? If it's the latter that can be an early indicator of pregnancy. I sometimes get ewcm later on in my cycle too, I've never used an opk later on though as I stop using them once I get a positive, so I don't really know what the reason is! And I think you should go to the pub on friday!!!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 30/01/2014 22:52

Hi kt! I was wondering how you were getting on too. Have you told anyone in your family yet? When will you tell DS?
Better Hope your get your questions answered tomorrow and obviously hope everything is still ok with the baby. It's such a battle isn't it this baby growing stuff. Getting a bfp is only the beginning. Everyday I find myself looking at DD and just making sure I remind myself how bloody lucky I am to have her and that she is healthy. My day off was lovely actually, just stayed at home and played, we did lots of painting and made a den to eat lunch in. DD helped me with the washing, and I got some cooking done to freeze some meals. Made some soup to take to work tomorrow too, very productive, bring on being a full time SAHM Grin
Toothpaste 18 weeks arr! not long to go until your scan!! How far along is your DSis?
Rum how is your sister doing?? (If I'm right in remembering it was your sis that lost the baby?)
Hungry pram shopping sounds like fun, double the fun! I remember seeing one somewhere which is just a normal pram but you can attach a car seat to it, I don't know how it would work once the little'un outgrows the car seat, but it could be useful in the early days. I always figured I'd go for the front and back style double pram, rather than side by side, must be a nightmare to navigate with!
Swede even I'm feeling time go slow for you! I think you should POAS tomorrow too though, might help you make your job decision!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 30/01/2014 21:10

Hi All
Better that's really frustrating. I think it's good to talk to your midwife. I know lots of people that had bleeds and went on to have perfectly healthy babies but it's not what u need I'm sure.
I know u asked a while back but I'm now 18 weeks and my ds is almost 16 months. I'm asking doing aloy of buggy research. Found a cpl that look ok but think best to look(I have already had to sell one on eBay at a loss!)
All these name changes! I need to keep a list! Hope we have another bfp soon!

BetterNotBitter · 30/01/2014 14:02

Hi kt I was wondering how you were doing. Any symptoma yet?

Hows your day off going ginger?

News here is that Im bleeding.....again!! Not worried about baby really. No pain or anything & the sonographer said the bleedong last time wasnt coming from anything baby related that she could see. Rang & got an appt with my midwife tomorrow, going to see if she can do any swabs or anything to try and determine whats causing it!

Kt1991 · 30/01/2014 13:13

Hey everyone sorry not posted much recently, no news here really apart from I had to tell two of the receptionists I work with as loads of people are leaving right near I'm due so I felt really bad sitting there not saying anything when they were asking if I was planning to leave! I only mentioned it to them but somehow a few other people have found out now, hoping they will keep It quiet until my scan though. Mrs i think you asked a few days ago how far I think I am.Going by my last period I would be about 8 weeks but I've put myself back a week cause of my long cycles.

Good luck to everyone POAS soon! Love the new name ginger lucy hope it brings you good luck!
Sorry to hear your dates were different at your scan metal hope when it comes to your 12 week scan that it will be more like your dates. That's what Im worried about.

How are you hungry glad that your scan went well, don't think I've posted other than on the fb page!

Sorry If I missed anyone out hope your all good!

HungryHorace · 30/01/2014 12:34

Better, I sent the scan picture by iMessage and mum emailed me with her response. She's having a bit of a blip at the moment, but emailed a few times getting increasingly enthusiastic! :-) I think doing it that way was appreciated as she's not good on the phone at the moment.

I sent texts to people she'd usually tell in case she didn't, but she apparently rang round them, which is good.

I'm very grateful she's paying for the pram.

I'm surprised that we will get about £30 a week, plus the arrears. It'll go up when number 2 comes.

I think you'll only have to call them to update as you're already in the system. Obviously it's more worth it for us as DH is self employed and has had a torrid 4 or so years. :-/

Swede, I'm still optimistic for you! :-) Maybe you could POAS tomorrow? How many DPO will that be?!

SwedeAway · 30/01/2014 12:26

Hey Gingerbread (love the new name)! Have told the other department that I may be interested. I am actually trying to hold out until next week when I can POAS. IF I would be so lucky to get a BFP I would tell them that I am not taking the job as I dont think its fair to accept when I know that I am pg and I know they really need someone. I am really happy in my current position (although the other position seem equally interesting) so I dont feel like I would lose out if I didn't take it (apart from some more money I guess).

No symptoms for me really. Feeling nauseous today but that's about it. 9dpo, time is going so slow...

Better - cycle 3, testing next Wed (if I don't crack before then and do it early!) Blush

BetterNotBitter · 30/01/2014 11:37

hungry you just reminded me re tax credits. Weve never got anything but think we might a little bit once baby 2 makes an appearance. Maybe £6 a week the guy on the phone said! Its the forms that put me off, theyre so long n boring! I'd rather go without the £6!! And re the great pram debate. We want a new one, but ive no idea what kind yet. Our one from dd is a mamas & papas one which is too heavy and takes up too much boot space even though we have a big boot. Yeah we'll get a buggy board too. How was your mum when yiu told her the news?

When are you going to test guiness? What number cycle are you on now?

Will post more soon, just been accosted by dd for a story.

guinnessgirl · 30/01/2014 10:25

Gingerbread - it's always strange having an odd day off with DC, isn't it? Being out of normal routine can be very unsettling, albeit nice to have a change.

Still waiting - days dragging by! Am feeling a bit confused, as still getting some EWCM a full week after when I think I was OV. We're not using opks so I can't be sure, but my cycle's usually reasonably consistent. Anyone else have any experience of this? Trying not to get my hopes up or get too disheartened by it - haven't DTD since last Wed so if OV is late then I'm a bit scuppered for this cycle. Gah! I've had to turn down the offer of a really fun sounding night at the pub on Friday just in case I am pg, so I'll be really p*ed off if I get a BFN next week! Sod's law says that's almost certain now I've played it safe, though Wink

HungryHorace · 30/01/2014 09:39

Hi Gingerbread! Great name! :-)

I've heard from work on one count: I'm owed an extra £103 SMP. Yay! Useful as my last payment is lower than the others have been. It'll pay for train journeys to work in March, anyway.

Just two other issues to hear back on now!

Rang and sorted tax credits this morning too. Not that we get a huge amount, but we should be due some arrears. The joy of dropping £11k in pay this year. :-/

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 30/01/2014 09:15

Thanks Metal! Hopefully baby will have a bit of a growth spurt! Feb 19th was it you said your next scan is booked for? It's encouraging that she said everything was looking fine though.
I am off work today as my mum is busy today, not sure what to do with DD as I'm not normally off on thursdays. Got a few errands to run but the weathers not particularly great!
Swede what are your latest thoughts on the job offer? Congratulations by the way! What does DH think?
Where is everyone today?

Metalhead · 29/01/2014 14:05

Hi Gingerbread - hope your new name brings you luck! Smile

I would have thought I was 7+2 at the very least, and even that would mean I conceived 5 days after dtd. Just doesn't add up. Anyway, nothing I can do about it now but hope that I will a) measure more in line with my dates in three weeks' time, or b) still be in line with the scan date but baby is healthy nonetheless and just growing a bit more slowly.

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 29/01/2014 13:58

Hi everyone, new name for me (Lucy) Hopefully a change in identity is what I need!! Lots to catch up on...
Hungry - your mum is pleased with the news then if she is going to buy you the pram? That must be such a weight off to be able to share your news finally! Was she ok with it? It does sound like fun being able to mess with your work, especially when you have all the knowledge that you are doing it right! I have just managed to swap the days around that I work as it works better for my mum in terms of childcare, annoyed that it has taken this long and I have been working around everyone else who don't have children, but it's all settled now.
Metal such a shame you haven't come away from your scan feeling better. they think you are 6+2 where would you put yourself? I would say don't listen too much to what she said, it is just the opinion of one woman, I'm sure it will change again with further scans.
Rum wicked witch is brilliant! It sucks to have to go through things like this with work. it makes it so hard to come into work everyday and get on with it when you are put in awkward positions and don't get on with people. Counting down the days for you!
Mrs hurray for the scan! Bet you have a great baby bump now Smile Very exciting about baby shopping! Will you have to try and refrain yourself from going ott though seen as you are having another boy!? I love buying clothes for my DD but she has got so many good quality hand-me-downs from her cousins that I feel a bit ridiculous buying her anything!
Better go anyway, just finishing up my lunch break x

HungryHorace · 29/01/2014 13:49

My work are crap, mrs! I'm dreading going back. But at least I know I won't be going back afterwards, unless I'm desperate!!

We've looked at all the doubles thereabouts and discounted a side by side as they're huge. A lot of the tandems aren't right either, hence plumping for the Oyster Max.

Baby shopping is fun, mrs. We need to sell our Silvercross as we won't need it with two and the Oyster Max can be a single too.

Fingers crossed your DS takes to his new bed better than you're anticipating!

mrsm22 · 29/01/2014 13:35

Hi everyone,
Hungry - your work need to to pull their finger out and let you know what's going on! I keep forgetting how young your DD will still be when your new baby comes along. What prams have you looked at? I went for a nice classic Silver Cross one for my DS so going to re use that as so expensive. I'll need a new Moses basket and play mat and other things. I can't wait to go new baby shopping actually.
How's everyone doing?
Going to try get DS a bed at some point before end of feb when I finish work. Not looking forward to trying to get him in it though. He might think it's a new bed for me and him. Bless him x

HungryHorace · 29/01/2014 13:18

I'm keeping fingers firmly crossed for you, guinnessgirl! :-)

And I am kind of enjoying it...when I get ACAS involved at the end of the process I'll enjoy it even more. Can't beat making a totally legal nuisance of yourself. :-) Especially when they're not allowed to make your life difficult because of it!

guinnessgirl · 29/01/2014 12:59

Hungry, it's all quiet ATM - am symptom-spotting obsessively, but nothing of note. I didn't have a clue before POAS with DS, so am keeping an open mind! This next week is going to really drag...

sorry to hear your work are still being difficult, but it sounds like you're almost having fun responding! Here's hoping they just get sick of it and pay you off sooner rather than later Wink

HungryHorace · 29/01/2014 12:48

Yep, DD will be 13 months, so a double is definitely needed.

We think an Oyster Max if we can get a decent second hand one. My mum has said she will buy it for us. Thankfully!

Will you get a buggy board for your DD?

Metalhead · 29/01/2014 12:46

Better I'm ok today, thanks for asking, though still quite anxious. I just know that, even given that I ov'd a few days later than thought, I must be at least 7 weeks. Have just booked another scan for 19 Feb, a couple of days before my parents are coming to visit. Part of me feels really silly for doing it, but I just know I won't be able to relax until my 12-week scan in March.

Thinking back to DD actually I'm sure I thought her scan date was out by about a week as well, and lo and behold she came 5 days early, which was much closer to "my" EDD!

Great news about your scan mrsm, glad everything was ok.

Sorry some of you are having trouble with work, that's just rubbish. I haven't told my boss yet but last time they were really good, so hoping it won't be a problem this time round either. I'm all for taking ML as early as possible, it's nice to have some time off before the madness of the early days post-birth kicks off!

BetterNotBitter · 29/01/2014 12:02

Yeah I'm fine, ironically in seem to be getting the odd bit of morning sickness & terrible headaches but my tiredness has finally gone. Like you yesterday though, if I over exert myself it hits me hard.

Pram shopping!?!? Exciting, what are you going for? You'll need a double won't you, with dd being a littley still?

HungryHorace · 29/01/2014 10:58

It just seems weird based on the OPK, Better. But I wasn't doing them the week before, and we DTD at the right time, so maybe it's right! Maybe the OPK picked up pregnancy hormones not LH.

Anyway, I gained a week of pregnancy and lost a week of waiting, so all us good!

I'm not too bad. Felt grim yesterday after a bit of a walk to the shops in the morning and then pram shopping in the afternoon. It was exhausting! Not so bad today, thank god.

How're you doing?

I'd still look at suing morerum, but I do it for a living so wouldn't think twice about banging in a small claim for what I was owed! Failing that, definitely see if early mat leave is an option. You have to give 8 weeks' notice of the change of date, so need to think carefully about it.

Work still hasn't responded to me regarding my appeal or my due date. An acknowledgment would be nice. I also discovered that my recent pay rise means my 90% calculation needs redoing! even though it only came into force on 14th Jan, thanks to something called the Alabaster ruling. I emailed HR about that too. Guess what? No response! But I'm making a nice nuisance of myself...come on work, just pay me off! :-)

Swede, how're you feeling? You too, guinnessgirl?

When are you buying DS his new bed, mrs? Good luck!

BetterNotBitter · 29/01/2014 10:15

How are you feeling today metal?

I wouldn't worry about you being a week ahead hungry you thought that could be the case anyway didn't you? I was put 5 days ahead, just pleased its 5 days less to wait haha! How are you?

Congrats on good scan news mrs and on boy #2, I think it's nice to have 2 of the same when they're close in age. Have you told ds yet?

Is early mat leave an option donna? I'd do it if it is. She obviously knows she's been horrid if she waited for you, too little too late though, sounds like a disgrace.

toothpaste how far along are you? Do you think it would be an option not to go back? How old is dc1?

Hi to everyone else!

mrsm22 · 28/01/2014 22:23

Hi Toothpaste - we were told a little boy today and could clearly see his little bits and pieces. Very pleased to be having another boy and totally agree, it's lovely now feeling the movements. I love putting my hand on my tummy and feeling him move particularly on a night when I'm laid in bed. When is your scan? How far are you now?
