So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Hello! I have a 17 month old daughter and started trying for no 2 start of jan. Good luck to everyone else trying on here! Dd1 was a bit ofca surprise so the whole 'trying' thing is new to us. I just bought a pack of preg tests from amazon but don't think I can be preg yet....although resisting testing once they arrive will be difficult!

HazyShadeOfWinter · 01/02/2014 21:49

Which film did you pick ginger?

I have been tidying the fridge (early nesting? Grin) and am about to have a warm bath with lavender and tea tree as I think I have thrush...joy. Last time I had reccurent UTIs, hoping this isn't the start of something similar!

Fingers crossed swede, whether for POAS or just AF remaining away tomorrow. If I were you I'd POAS tomorrow so if it is a BFN then you can distract yourself with family all day rather than having to go to work. then we all keep our fingers, toes, legs etc crossed for AF keeping away and you can POAS again midweek?

guinnessgirl · 01/02/2014 21:47

Ginger, I'm going to be sensible and wait til at least Tue (AF due Wed). I did go out last night and even had a couple of glasses of wine! It was weird though - I ordered dessert and then could hardly stand to look at it, let alone eat it. Not like me at all!

Tonight involves sofa, fleecy blanket and catching up on missed Call The Midwife. I love it but it does make me very weepy!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 01/02/2014 20:47

Will you POAS in the morning Swede? and Guiness? Good luck girls!
I did the clearblue ov test today, no smiley face for me yet, but I haven't had any ewcm yet so still a few days early I reckon.
What's everyone up to tonight? DH is at work til late and I'm feeling bored. I had cereal for dinner as I couldn't decide what I wanted to eat and now I'm trying to find a film I fancy watching!

BetterNotBitter · 01/02/2014 17:19

Good willpower swede, best way too. Fingers crossed x

guinnessgirl · 01/02/2014 16:59

Swede, I know the feeling. I've been having some cramps/achiness very low down today, which is often a sign that AF will be on the way soon... better to wait a couple of days rather than waste a test, I reckon. Brew Thanks

HungryHorace · 01/02/2014 13:46

I hope it's not AF, Swede. Good luck if you POAS tomorrow.

SwedeAway · 01/02/2014 12:38

Purchased a test but have decided against POAS today. Still have those pains and just convinced that it is AF.

HungryHorace · 01/02/2014 07:04

11DPO is just right for POAS. :-) I used a digi at that point and got a result.

I think you should do it! Can you not drink much and save a wee up?

Ginger, you can use those ones at any time of day, as long as you're consistent. I find FMU far more convenient than any other time.

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 01/02/2014 06:21

Ah Hungry I didn't realise you could use FMU, I've just been and had a wee! Will save some up and do it later on.
Ooh Metal I love Frankie and Bennys. You're making me want to go and eat a burger there...
Clever tactics Hazy Wink
Swede it might still be a bit early, so if you get a BFN it wouldn't necessarily mean you're not pregnant, would you feel too disheartened if you saw a BFN? In which case don't listen to me!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 01/02/2014 06:17

No, do it Swede!!!!

SwedeAway · 01/02/2014 04:51

Well, no AF this morning. But still have that crampy sort of feeling which could be start of AF. 11dpo today and another 3 days before AF would arrive. Too early to POAS???

OP posts:
Metalhead · 31/01/2014 23:51

Ginger I have another scan booked for 19 Feb, as by then it should be pretty obvious whether baby is growing or not.

Hazy I'm not the sonographer could have referred me to anyone as there isn't much to be done but wait and see.

We did have a nice evening out tonight, thank you. Went to Frankie & Benny's for a burger and then to see 12 Years a Slave. Quite depressing viewing really, but a very good film nonetheless.

Swede fx for no AF tomorrow!

HazyShadeOfWinter · 31/01/2014 22:14

Hello all sorry have been AWOL, really busy at work this week including two evening dos at which I sat drinking water with a full glass of wine by me in order not to draw attention to the non-drinking...

Will catch up properly tomorrow, but just wanted to say everything's crossed for swede, hopefully no AF tomorrow and you can POAS this weekend.

metal the early stages are horrid, especially after your un-reassuring scan, but I'm sure that if there had been a problem the sonographer would have been ethic or duty bound to refer it elsewhere or tell your midwives? Hope you had a nice meal tonight.

HungryHorace · 31/01/2014 21:31

Ginger, PIAP (piss in a pot) with FMU. Unwrap a stick and put it in the holder, lining up the two pink arrows. Take the lid off and dunk for about 10-15 seconds. Put lid back on and wait! :-)

When the stick is inserted correctly, a picture of a stick will appear in the little screen so you know you're ok to dunk! :-)

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 31/01/2014 21:19

Utopian I'm so glad you said that. Not glad that you're also feeling fed up/desperate of the whole thing but glad it's not just me! I took 8 years to arrive after my DB and DS so I am panicking a bit that maybe something runs in the family...I cannot even imagine having to wait 8 years....I hope your AF turns up eventually, or rather, I hope she doesn't! Definately rant away, and I will join you. Have you been POAS just incase?? I am beginning to get my hopes up again thinking this could be the month, which is awful as it just makes the day AF turns up even harder to bare.
Guiness tut tut! 9dpo is definately a bit too early. But go again tomorrow Grin
Oh Swede I really have everything crossed for you, I am feeling positive for you though! POAS party in the morning!!!
Metal you poor thing. I'm sure your nausea will come back with a vengeance. Do you think you will book in for another scan or just wait for the 12 week one?
Mrs do you remember I recommended the Emma Jane Maternity Bras? I found them to be so comfortable, and I worked my way through alot before I settled on them!! How many times do you think you will wash and fold DS' clothes before DS#2 comes along? Smile
Hungry thank you so much I finally picked up my sticks today!! Will start using them tomoz once I've worked out how to use them....

SwedeAway · 31/01/2014 16:07

Guinness, yes 9dpo was far too early to test so I have high hopes for you.

Hungry, traffic jam was caused by...rainShock We don't get a lot of it here and when it happens its like London when the first snow arrives, total disruption.

Ok so this is where I am, feeling very nauseous so it can't be my imagination. Have some serious pressure in my uterus or thereabouts. This can only mean that either AF is on her way with a vengeance (although I never have any pain before or during AF but since it would be the first one after the mc it may be different) or (keeping fingers and toes crossed) its implantation. I guess by tomorrow I will know as if it is AF she should be arriving soon given the pressure pain. The waiting game continues but if no AF in the morning I may go and get a test so I am ready to POAS!

Hi all!

Better sorry you had some bleeding again, could it be a cyst on the cervix or something like that? One of my friends had that and bled quite a bit, but it wasn't dangerous.

Good luck to all the poas'ers, hope we get some good results soon!

Sorry your work are still being rubbish Hungry, I bet you can't wait to leave it all behind.

We told DH's parents last night about the pregnancy as they've come down for the weekend and they knew we were trying, though I have warned them it could all go wrong over the next few weeks because of the scan. I've been a bit of an emotional wreck actually these last few days, keep swinging between thinking it's all going to be fine to being convinced they'll tell me that baby has died at the next scan. It doesn't help that my nausea seems to have eased off a bit since last week...

At least DH and I are going out for a meal and then to the cinema tonight, so that should distract me for a while!

HungryHorace · 31/01/2014 15:12

Swede, what caused the traffic jam? Was it an accident? Nothing worse than being trapped in a car without being able to go anywhere.

Good luck for all the POAS action, both on HPTs and OPKs!

Better, I posted yesterday but it vanished. I wonder if it's an ectropian like I had (or erosion)? Did you bleed last time?

Mrs, no, no word from work. I hope they're not planning on springing a meeting on me as that would be a pain. But it would show them to be unreasonable. It has to take place by a week on Monday, so we shall see!

mrsm22 · 31/01/2014 15:03

Good afternoon all!

How is everyone doing? Just a quick one to say hi and hope everyone is ok. I'm at work, counting down to 5pm. My bra is really uncomfortable today, feeling tight and digging in a bit so think i am ready now for maternity one's. i got some good one's from M&S in my last pregnancy so i'm going to see if they still fit. If not, i'll have to go get re-measured.
Ginger - I was confused at first by the name change, but great name! How are you? I am looking forward to going baby shopping but i'm not going to let myself get too carried away, you are right, i already have a lot of baby boy things. I need to go through my DS's clothes at some point and sort through which things are ok and which are not good enough to save.
Better - I am so sorry you are having bleeding again! It is my worst nightmare as for me I would need that bloody Anti D jab. But it's awful for anyone experiencing it. I agree with others though, it is most likely to be nothing at all and most likely an unexplainable thing. I had bleeding with my DS twice, once quite badly after intercourse (looking back, i'm sure it was the sex that cause the bleeding) but at the hospital they said it was nothing to worry about as baby was ok. I still was terrified though.
Hungry - Any news re work? When are you due to go back, if you do have to? Good news re the tax credits. Sadly we don't get much too but i will have to update when i go on mat leave so maybe we will get a bit more.
The weather looks awful! Is anyone up to anything nice over the weekend?

guinnessgirl · 31/01/2014 13:50

Swede, wish I'd read your post before I just cracked and POAS - 9DPO, what did I think I would get?! BFN of course. It's like an addiction, isn't it? Could hardly help myself, even though it's got me nowhere... Still planning to POAS again on Wed as you never know. You poor thing, sitting in traffic for 4 hours! The worst thing is you can't even use Mumsnet to pass the time! Wink

SwedeAway · 31/01/2014 11:23

Hello all. 10 dpo today and no symptoms what so ever apart from slightly achy ovaries. Trying to hold out and not POAS until at least after the weekend. Last time I POAS'd on 9dpo and got a big fat bfn so I dont want to chance it.

Was stuck in traffic this morning for 4 hours!! Missed a legal conference I was attending as I was late. Not a happy bunny today:(

hi ginger loving the new name. I am the same as you. Been theoretically ttc for 4 months now but af has still not returned, despite ds being now fully weaned for 4 weeks and taking ttc pills to supposedly balance hormones.

Ds was so easy, and the absence of af so obvious, that I just feel like a total failure. plus there is a history of people in my family having one easily then really struggling for the next, and dh was an only and Hated it,so I feel ddesperate and sick of the whole thing at the same time. Just came on to rant really, as I don't want to talk to anyone in rl about it. hope no one minds me.

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 31/01/2014 09:34

Ooh Spain and Mexico, I am also very jealous! That sounds like a nice big bundle of sunshine right there. My car this morning said it was 2 degrees outside. Brrr!!
I'm in limbo land at the mo, AF finished but not started dtd yet. I will be POAS today Rum! But only on an opk. Not feeling at all confident anymore that it will ever happen, can't even be bothered thinking about being pregnant or having a baby anymore.
Guiness 8dpo hmm, sounds interesting! Enjoy your dinner tonight, and your Wine Do you think you will give in and test on sunday, 10dpo?

guinnessgirl · 31/01/2014 08:54

Gingerbread, not sure which it is, but there is lots of it! Trying not to read too much into it... did have some cramps last night for 2 or so hours - it would be perfect timing for implantation, 8dpo...

am going out for a meal instead tonight, can still have a glass or two of wine!
