So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Hi Engels, glad you're ok and looking forward to your 2ww to be over, hope next month is successful for you!
Sorry you're not well Gingerelle hope you can get enough rest and feel better soon.
Claude I also said I wouldn't go down the opk route!! I have just bought some clearblue smiley ones though...still no smiley but they are fun to use!! (Smile Hungry!)
God Swede talk about bad timing! Have you come to a final decision about the new position? I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm hopeful for you this month Grin

SwedeAway · 03/02/2014 12:25

Thanks Hazy and Claude (my voices of reason). You are right of course and in any event, I want to do it first thing in the morning. Problem tomorrow is that I am going for that chat about the new position that was offered to me and if I get a bfn or a bfp, will I be able to concentrate...

HazyShadeOfWinter · 03/02/2014 11:27

Agree with Claudee, disappointment at work would be horrible swede, hold out a few more hours.
Or on the other hand, if it is a bfp you'll have to keep excitement under wraps at work but can as excited as you want if you do it at home.

claudeekishi · 03/02/2014 11:19

Argh if it was a negative I mean, Swede.

Sorry - head is all over the place today.

claudeekishi · 03/02/2014 11:18

Sorry, posted too soon. Swede you must be climbing the walls. Hang in there, hang in there....I doubt I'd be able to take my own advice if I were you, but then you'd have to deal with disappointment at work which isn't easy.

I don't even remember what the very early days were like with DD - I didn't find out until I was about 7 weeks and getting MS, it was great in a way.

Anyway, yes to welcoming in February CallingAllEngles

claudeekishi · 03/02/2014 11:15

Hi everyone, sorry it's been a while! Have been enjoying catching up with all of your updates.

I'm only a couple of months into this and beginning to realise what a long haul ttc is, especially because I have long cycles :( It's such a funny state, isn't it? All of this waiting around. Need to get into a dtd routine now, I think, set us up for the month...

I bought OP sticks a few days ago - the ones with lines as opposed to digital smilies. I swore I wouldn't go down that route but there you go!

claudee, ttc #2 cycle 2/3 (not sure which to count as 1st cycle we started too late!). DD is 2.

SwedeAway · 03/02/2014 10:57

I wish you guys were physically here to chain me to my desk. I just want to go and buy a test and POAS!!!! Soooo afraid of being disappointed though:(

HazyShadeOfWinter · 03/02/2014 10:51

Oh fingers extremely crossed Swede. My implantation cramps lasted for ages, too. And like you I kept thinking AF was coming, both times. Hence why I took so lobg to POAS first time, and why I had a sneaky suspicion second time!

Gingerelle hope you feel better soon

guinnessgirl · 03/02/2014 10:15

Gingerelle, sorry to hear you're not well. hope you feel better soon - good thing you can rest today.

Swede - got everything crossed for you today!

HungryHorace · 03/02/2014 09:30

Implantation generally takes place 6-12 DPO. I imagine the cramping could happen after implantation not necessarily on the day as the embryo buries deeper and makes itself at home. :-)

I've got my fingers crossed for you.

Hi to the new people. Sorry you're ill, Gingerelle. I hope you feel better soon.

Hope everyone is doing well and that there's plenty of POAS going on!

Gingerelle · 03/02/2014 08:08

Hope these odd pains are a good sign swede, fingers crossed for you.

ive got a horrible stomach bug so in bed, and poor dd is off for an extra day at nusery.

hope you are all ok xxx

CallingAllEngels · 03/02/2014 07:58

Morning ladies! Just checking in to see how you all are.

Welcome gingerelle and henrietta.

Love the nc gungerbread and morerum .

Swede I am so impressed with your willpower! Keeping everything crossed for you.

Still waititng here. Just over 2 weeks till next AF arrives and then we can start ttc again which is very exciting. I feel like a weight has lifted with the beginning of February (January is my least favourite month of the year!).

SwedeAway · 03/02/2014 07:27

Morning all, seems I dont know my own body at all. Last night I was cramping something terrible, like a downward pressure in uterus area. It was super intense and lasted for about an hour or two. I totally expected AF to arrive but it has not? Saying that I never have any AF cramps so this is totally new to me. What it did remind me of was my implantation cramps that I had with DD (just around when my AF was due). I remember it so well as I was sure that my AF was about to come on then as well but obviously it never did. But, I was 12dpo yesterday, is that not far too late for implantation??? Tomorrow is D day!

HazyShadeOfWinter · 02/02/2014 21:52

Welcome Henriette and Gingerelle!

We're having early terrible twos here too, though mostly when DS tantrums its still amusing more than difficult to manage.

I've had pretty strong AF type cramps before both BFPs swede, and continuing now on and off metal Like you said at this stage there is not really much you can do apart from try to keep your mind off things and wait.

Good will power though swede, not long now til Tuesday.

Think I've seen that film Gingerbread, the one about sisters? Why is there never something great on when you have control of the remote?!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 02/02/2014 20:37

Swede how you getting on??

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 02/02/2014 20:37

Henrietta we had a bit of an intro to the terrible twos a few months early too! They're exhausting, but amazing.
Oh no Metal. I had those cramps for weeks with DD too, kept worrying when they felt just like AF cramps, but Dr Google always reassured me that it was normal in early pregnancy, so please try not to worry! Waiting is just rubbish. Patience is not one of my strong suits, or most other womens either probably!

HenriettaTurkey · 02/02/2014 16:50

Thank you all for your warm welcome! DS will be 2 in April, Gingerbread - but seems to have reached the terrible twos early!

Metalhead · 02/02/2014 16:19

I've been having AF-type cramps too today Swede, keep expecting the worst every time I go to the loo, especially because of my worrying scan result on Tuesday... It's so frustrating when you don't know what's going on and all you can do is sit and wait!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 02/02/2014 15:54

Do you normally get that pain Swede? It's so frustrating when pg symptoms can be so similar to AF symptoms. I know how it feels not being able to think about anything else, maybe try reading a book or watching something to try and take your mind off it for a bit. There is nothing you can do now to change what is coming, so just try not to drive yourself crazy waiting!
I guess it will take a while to settle down Gingerelle, maybe the one mid january was your real period? I guess just keep dtd as often as you can be bothered and see what happens! Are you going to use opks?

SwedeAway · 02/02/2014 14:51

Urgh, now it really does feel like AF is on its way, this continuous pain in uterus area. Sorry to keep going on about it but can't think about anything else at the moment.

OP posts:
Gingerelle · 02/02/2014 11:54

gingerbread hi yes I had a mirena coil removed 3rd jan. 3 days later I had what I thought was a period but then had another 2 weeks later so no idea what's going on! I was on the pill for years before dd so not totally sure of length of my cycle but I think its 4-5 weeks. so I may be coming up to possible time but to be honest with a poorly dd not sleeping well and ending up in bed with us quite often at the mo, chances to dtd are pretty slim!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 02/02/2014 11:12

Morning ladies, hello to the newbies, welcome! You are more than welcome to join, I think us ttc'ers are being outnumbered by pregnant ones, which does mean it's a wonderfully lucky thread!
How old is your DC Henrietta?
Have you come off of any contraception Gingerelle?
Hazy I watched 'Rachel Getting Married' with Anne Hathaway, it wasn't great, I didn't actually finish watching it. Ooh you've just reminded me I got thrush quite a bit when pregnant, not pleasant. Angry Recurrent UTIs must have been horrid, hope you manage to escape them this time.
Ooh good luck Guiness! Glad you had a nice meal out. I read the book Call the Midwife but never quite got into the programme, maybe I will try again, I could do with some good series to get into for escapism! Maybe a baby centred one isn't wise though?!

Probably wise not to have POAS then this morning Swede with guests, hope AF doesn't make her appearance for you, and I am still feeling hopeful for you Smile

SwedeAway · 02/02/2014 05:39

Welcome Henrietta and Gingerelle! This is an excellent thread to join with lots of lovely supportive ladies!

Update from this side, no AF yet but as due only on Tuesday I am going to try to hold out until then. Wanted to POAS this morning but we have guests staying over so did not feel it was the right time and I might as well wait it out I guess. I am surprised at my own willpower but maybe I know deep inside that this is not my month. Not feeling positive today.

Can't read the posts back at the moment but someone was watching Call the Midwife last night. I am sooooo jealous, love that series. We are waiting for the next season here but not sure when it will start. We are way behind the UK thoughHmm

Hey there - not sure if you're full or still looking for newbies but we are starting TTC#2 in about 2 weeks, right after DH celebrates his 40th. It was ridiculously quick first time (1st month off cerazette & I only found out at 8 weeks) And I'm a bit nervous that it'll be so different this time as I'm not as young as I used to be...

Can I join? Smile

Gingerelle · 01/02/2014 23:35

Hello! I have a 17 month old daughter and started trying for no 2 start of jan. Good luck to everyone else trying on here! Dd1 was a bit ofca surprise so the whole 'trying' thing is new to us. I just bought a pack of preg tests from amazon but don't think I can be preg yet....although resisting testing once they arrive will be difficult!
