So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

better I was thinking the same about mrsbri poss hungry?
im not sure about finishing work early id love to as the atmosphere is terrible hut its only 2 days a week. physio is helping but they have said I wont get better till the baby is born.
if dh was working id leave work and its a shame coz he knows that and feels guilty about itSad.
sorry about your bfn and where the heck is swede today? x

HungryHorace · 05/02/2014 09:34

OK, so my profile has gone bonkers. Grrrr!

I'll have to reset it.

MrsBri · 05/02/2014 09:32

Oops...shouldn't have used that bloody name on here. Bugger!

Anyway, yes to peanut butter, especially in cookie form.

How're you doing, Better?

BetterNotBitter · 05/02/2014 08:45

gingerbread you've made me realllly want peanut butter cookies!!! Like really want them! I've got really into baking since being diagnosed with coeliacs as it's the only way you can get nice cakes and biscuits, the shop bought ones are appalling. How's your husband doing with FFF?

hungry are we allowed peanut butter whilst preggers?

morerum how many weeks will you be by your next appt? Is leaving work by then a viable option? Sorry you're in pain, have you had any physio yet?

BetterNotBitter · 05/02/2014 08:41

Hi everyone!

Hope everyone's well.

Fingers crossed for swede

Sorry for the BFP guinness

Sorry I think I've missed a name change mrsbri? Am I being thick?

MrsBri · 05/02/2014 08:29

What CD are you now, Gingerbread? You're leaving it late, aren't you? Hmmmm...

Sorry it was BFN Guinness. :-/

Swede, where are you?!?!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 05/02/2014 08:15

OOh sorry Guiness, but yes, still hope for you hopefully!

Swede I'm dying for an update here!!!

I'm off to work now. Still no smiley Hmm

guinnessgirl · 05/02/2014 08:13

POAS... BFN. But it was a cheapie one, so there's still hope.... Confused

Any news Swede?

MrsBri · 05/02/2014 05:58

Swede...it's 8 o'clock for you. Have you POAS yet?! I'm very hopeful!

Guinness, I think you should POAS today too!

Gingerbread, I'm a bit more relaxed now, especially as this one is a dynamo like dd was and I can feel him batting round like a loon. :-) I alternate between feeling shit and being starving. Ho hum!

Morerum, I'd definitely finish early if you can. I'm still weighing up what I'll do with work. I'm thinking about going back until I'm 27 weeks, which is 9 weeks' work. The commute got too much at 29 weeks last time, so I'm not going to risk that again.

Hi to everyone else too. :-)

guinnessgirl · 04/02/2014 22:36

PS. Swede, I am seriously impressed at your self discipline. Looking forward to hearing from you tomorrow!

guinnessgirl · 04/02/2014 22:35

hi all! All quiet here - ankle thankfully not as battered as it could be thanks to plenty of rest and ice. AF due tomorrow so may POAS on Thursday if she's not shown her face by then... no symptoms ATM of either pregnancy OR AF, so I'm baffled!

morerum, sorry to hear you're so sore. I thankfully didn't have any pelvic problems with DS, though the two weeks after the due date were pretty uncomfortable once his head was engaged - could barely walk to the corner shop. I've had friends with pelvic trouble though, and it really is grim. You have my sincere sympathy.

Gingerelle · 04/02/2014 21:47

hello! hope you are all ok and v impressed swede you held off testing! work stuff sounds exciting!

im feeling much better today, and even managed to dtd this morn (perk of week off work and dp working from home). I think some time this week could be our best shot this cycle so need to up our game! dp is a bit anxious about second baby though so im trying to subtly increase the bedroom action. ..!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 04/02/2014 21:12

Ah nutella! What an amazing idea! I normally make choc chip cookies with a dollop of pb in, but just went for straight crunchy peanut butter cookies this time. Definately using nutella too next time!!!
I had pelvic and hip pain with DD, was not fun, just to had to ride it out to 40 weeks though....Hope you start to feel a bit better soon, and make sure you take it easy lady with that toddler of yours running around! maybe you should suggest DH books you another spa trip?Grin
If your midwife expects you to give up work maybe it's something worth considering? Especially after your recent events with work!

Where is everyone!?

morerummorefun · 04/02/2014 19:57

swede everything crossed for you! I really hope this is your month Smile.
ginger glad you have found something you love! xx
hello all the newbies!
ive been abit quiet lately just knackered and very soreSad. was at mw on Friday and my bp was a tad low but nothing serious just to take it easy and she fully expects me to have given up work by my next appointment!?
did anyone have pelvic issues with 1st dc? my pregnancy was a breeze but this one is brutal lol. ir must be a boy! xx
also ginger I looove peanut cookies have you tired making them with some nutella? Omg there gorgeous I need to go make some now haha x

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 04/02/2014 16:31

Ooh excellent about the job Swede, you will have that to look forward if you do get a bfn tomorrow, which I'm sure you won't Grin No AF sounds promising.
I have just made some peanut butter cookies and devoured two of them house is smelling delicious! Also about to apply for a new job, it's only a top up of 8 hours a week so nothing life changing, but it is in a book shop and I looove books!

SwedeAway · 04/02/2014 15:25

Ginger- my meeting went well I think. Job sounds super exciting so I am very tempted. Have until the end of the week to decide (giving me time to POAS). Still no AF here so if its still gone tomorrow I will POAS tomorrow morning. No more willpower left in me and only holding out for tomorrow as I want to do it first thing to get the best result, whatever it is.

Time difference to the UK now is 2 hours ahead but when you switch to 'summer time' it's only one hour.

It's been so quiet here today. How is everyone??

OP posts:
GingerbreadBabyPlease · 04/02/2014 14:47

Swede, I count the 20th as being 15 days ago, so I think you will get a definite result whatever it is. (positive surely!!) Your willpower is very impressive, I think I would have given up by now too, can't stand the not knowing! You know what is right for yourself though. How did the work meeting go? What's the time difference with the UK?
Hungry yep I've got the hang of them now!! I'm a bit addicted to it actually, I look forward to using the little machine! I can see why you are addicted to POAS after using them, they should make pg tests more interesting too!! Still no smiley though.
We DTD sunday night, so cd 10 and will go again tonight I guess. I can't decide whether to do SMEP or to DTD less frequently this cycle to -in theory- make the swimmers a bit stronger?? Not sure if SMEP will even work this month as DH and I hardly see one another over the weekend. Are you feeling a little more relaxed and settled about all being well now Hungry?
Hazy FFF is going quite well, I'm struggling a bit with cutting down the caffeine, but have been eating ridiculously healthily and neither of us have had any alcohol. If I conceive this month my due date will be the same as it was with DD!
Sorry to all the nausea sufferers, horrid, but I found ginger helps, whether biscuits or tablets, and constant snacking too Smile
Glad you moved your scan Metal, hopefully bring you peace of mind a bit earlier on!
How are you feeling Gingerelle?

HazyShadeOfWinter · 04/02/2014 06:35

Good to have open mind swede, plus whatever the result today things could change so you need to make the choice for you regardless of bfp or bfn. Will you be able ro wait til tomorrow? For fmu?

Sorey about your ankle Guinness, but agree there must be some position thay works. Plus those endorphins might help with pain..

Gingerbread when will you start dtd? Looking forward to fabulously fertile feb?

Nausea sounds rubbish Monster, but its great you have the same midwife. Im hoping for same one too.

SwedeAway · 04/02/2014 05:20

Morning, wish I had read your messages last night (no power in Ipad). No AF this morning but I also did not POAS. My reasoning was that I want to go to this job meeting with an open mind and I thought knowing either way may sway my decision. I've brought the test to work although I doubt that I will have the courage to do it here. This all might sound idiotic and it probably is, although in my head last night it sounded like a brilliant plan. So the summary is that I am sitting here, not knowing if I should POAS, whether I should wait a day as I am unsure which day I actually did Ov as I got the smiley on the 20th Jan but did not do an Opk on the days before that. The meeting is at 10 (my time) so I think I will focus on that now and see how I feel afterwards.

HungryHorace · 04/02/2014 03:47

Any news Swede?

Guinness, you DTD lying down. A sore ankle shouldn't get in the way! Hope it's better soon.

guinnessgirl · 03/02/2014 20:56

hi all. Monster, sorry to hear about the nausea - I remember constant nausea in the 1st trimester and it being horrid. Hope it eases off in the 2nd! I found that crystallised ginger helped a little...

Metal, glad you've bought the scan forward. Hopefully it will give you all the reassurance you need.

Well I've come a cropper tonight - my ankle turned over at the bottom of the stairs and I landed badly. Major twisted ankle now Sad so no more exercise for a few days at least! And probably not much DTD either. Angry

Monstersaurus · 03/02/2014 19:30

Hi all

Sorry I've been away for a wee while. Swede, have everything crossed for you. It sounds promising and the possible new job sounds exciting too. Your willpower at not POAS earlier is quite impressive.

Too much has happened since I was last here to namecheck everyone. Hope February is a good month for you Engels.

As for me, I'm now at 7weeks and have nausea all day. Its worse at night which might explain my lack of posting. My booking appointment was last week, and was lovely. The midwife was the same one as last time and remembered lots which was great. Now counting down to the scan in early March.

Hope the BFPs keep on coming.

HazyShadeOfWinter · 03/02/2014 17:38

Swede if I were you I'd spend some time tonight making notes for tomorrow's meeting. Eg what points you want to make, questions to ask, maybe even set out decision parameters eg if they agree x I'll take position. Then whatever the result of POAS tomorrow you have done all your thinking plus have notes ro read over and help focus mind.

Metal its totally understandable to worry and I think irs great you've been able to move private scan. Hopefully it'll be extra reassurance on top of the midwife's.

Metalhead · 03/02/2014 17:01

Defo poas tomorrow Swede, like Hungry said at least then you'll have a better idea of what situation you're in re: work. Fingers firmly crossed for you, those cramps do sound very promising!

Hope you feel better soon Gingerelle.

I've just had my first midwife appointment. I told her about my fears re: the scan, but she said she wasn't worried and that this early on scan dates are unreliable. Not sure what to think now, maybe I'm being a bit paranoid... I brought my private scan forward by a week to next Wednesday, hopefully that will finally give me some ansers (one way or another).

HungryHorace · 03/02/2014 15:11

Good job I wasn't here earlier, Swede, as I'm afraid I'd have been a pom pom waving POAS advocate! :-)

I definitely think you need to do it tomorrow though as I'd have thought it'd be best to discuss the new role knowing whether you're pregnant or not so you can make an informed choice.

Gingerbread, glad you're enjoying POAsmileyS! You've got to grips with them now then?! :-) I thought they were great. Have you started DTD yet this cycle? SMEP says to start EOD on cd8 which is what we did this time.

Engels, it seems to have come round so quickly that you can TTC again! Fx for you next cycle. :-)

I'm so tired today, shit night's sleep last night. Boo.

Hope that everyone is OK.
