So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

yay miniengels bet you feel rested this morning :)

CallingAllEngels · 13/03/2014 06:39

DS slept the wholenight in his own bed last night! First time since November or October. Wandered in at 6.45.

mrsm22 · 12/03/2014 22:32

Hi Badgers and welcome to our party! I started this thread at the beginning of September and can't believe it's still going strong with so many members on board. We've had white a number of BFP's so far , fingers crossed you'll nee one of those to come soon.
Hi Better - I love Ilkley too, it's a lovely place. I'm actually in Leeds but we have been to Ilkley many times. Your open uni course sounds really interesting, can you take your time in doing and completing the course and are fees really expensive as I know fees for uni degrees have gone crazy?
I don't have anything big to buy Better, we still have our cot from DS and the Silver cross pram is still fine and I like it. We've bought a new play mat from mamas and papas with the gift card I got from work when I left and one outfit. I will buy some new clothes and may need a new Moses basket as my DS loved his. Not really much else needed but I'm sure there will be lots of little things.

CallingAllEngels · 12/03/2014 15:15

Welcome badgers. I'm a few days into the 2ww. AF due 23rd so trying to take my mind off it. My DPs X are coming to see us the weekend afteraf is due so will either have good news or be able to drink when we go out for a meal.

cannot be bothered to work with this lovely weather.

BadgersandToddlers · 12/03/2014 10:32

This is my,my first cycle. So won't be too disappointed if it doesn't happen this month but no doubt I will become a mad symptom spotter squinting at several tests by the end of the month!

SwedeAway · 12/03/2014 10:14

Welcome Badgers - Never too late to join this party! This is a lovely lucky thread. How long have you been ttc for?

OP posts:
BadgersandToddlers · 12/03/2014 09:56

Hello bit late to the party. I'm badgers TTC no2, dd is 15 months. Today is the first day if the tww feels like its going to be a long one!

SwedeAway · 12/03/2014 09:50

Better - I am definitely finding out. Not that it matters one bit what it is but I or we just want to know. When I found out with DD I felt like I was able to bond with her as I knew that she was a she, if that makes sense. Also I am an organisation freak so I want to prepare as much as possible before arrival and I want to know who is coming so to speak. Also, I hate surprises and am a control freak so could not stand not knowing:)

And also mrs I had to hunt out my copy of Elizabeth pantleys 'no cry sleep solution' for a friend with a 6month old (amazing book, can't recommend enough if you're a softie like me who can't leave them to cry' and noticed that it had listed she also does another book specifically aimed at toddlers and preschoolers, just if you're thinking about purchasing something to aid with your ds's sleeping, that might be a good option!

BetterNotBitter · 12/03/2014 08:23

Ps. gingerbread not long until you can start the next thread.......!

BetterNotBitter · 12/03/2014 08:23

How is dds teething hungry? And how are you finding work this week?

You can wait till it's late to test loves!! It's the best way! Although I know hungry will not be happy with my discouraging as much poas action as possible.....sorry!!

I suppose they have to write something by way of explanation in the notes gingerbread but still horrible to see it written there. How are you doing?

So are you going to find out what you're having when you can then swede? The jury is still out on whether we are, 24 hours to decide!

Do you have anything big to buy mrs? Presuming all is well at the scan I'm going to make our list tomorrow night. Obviously there'll be bits and pieces like clothes but we also have quite a few bigger things we want too. When I say we, I probably mean I.....! I used to live in Ilkley mrs so a little out of Leeds but great train line into work and I just loved the area. My degree from Leeds uni was in 'international business and finance' which was very boring and quite hard but got me a good job. Problem was, I didn't like the job! I'm doing a childhood and education one with the open uni this time. I'm only 3 months in but so far finding time has been ok, finding it harder as the tiredness from pregnancy increases & the first module finishes in July (when baby is due) so planning to have a 6 month break before starting the next part as imagine it'll be virtually impossible with a newborn & toddler too.

mrsm22 · 11/03/2014 21:59

Hi everyone,
Ginger - yes I think it is just me who knows what sex they're having, and I'm thrilled about another boy. I wouldn't have been able to wait to find out! Glad your appointment was ok, even if just a blood test, maybe Hungry is right and you should book a follow up with the gp to discuss ... That's if you don't get your BFP beforehand. I really hope you get your BFP soon! Your DD and my DS are the same age, my DS is two years and 2 months too. Is your DD into everything?
Hungry - look hue organised you are! Buying nappies each month isn't actually a bad idea, I hadn't thought of that. I have made a start going through old baby clothes and seeing which will do for new baby and have made a start washing them and putting then away in baby wardrobe. Mostly sleep suits and little vests in 0-3 months. Then I can work out his much I need to buy. Are you still feeling tired from work.
Morerum - how's the heartburn? I have had a bit but not been too bad with that.
Hi Better - where was your house in Leeds? I'm just wondering if you were anywhere near me. I've never been to Northumberland but it sounds like you're very happy and settled there. I'm from Leeds and so is my DH, although my DH lived in York before we got together. I went to uni in York actually and did my first degree there and then a Masters degree, so I'm hoping when I go back to work eventually that I may be able to use that although my line of work now is not at all related to my two degrees. What did you study at uni? It's amazing and very impressive that you're doing a degree with the open university, how do you/will you find the time? What is that in? I studied English Literature. I think is quite like to study psychology if I could go back but I don't think i 'd have time now.

SwedeAway · 11/03/2014 12:03

Hungry - Yes I am 8 + 5 today. DH is convinced it's a boy, but I honestly do not have a clue. This pg is so different to my previous one but I am not sure if that is because a. its my second, b. I am older, or c. its a ds? Only time will tell.
Asked gyno yesterday when he will be able to tell me if its pink or blue and he said that if I want to find out then the professor who is going to do my downs testing, will probably be able to see at 13 weeks!!? If not then gyno will be able to tell me at 16 week scan. Not that I care what it is to be honest. Just want to get through the next 4 weeks to reach the 12 week mark which will make me feel less stressed.
Still buzzing from hearing the heart beat though:)

AF due on the 21st but not coming this month cos i'm thinking positive :) They have to write something on the notes it doesn't mean anything just a way of filling in all the boxes on the form i'm sure.

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 11/03/2014 09:17

I think only mrs knows what she's having? (a boy!)
Cake I have 6 days til AF is due, due on on 17th, DHs birthday Angry, Going to a party saturday night though so will POAS in the morning to see if I can drink or not, haven't really been 'trying' this month ( we have, just trying not to think we have in the hope it brings me a BFP..) so I fully expect bfn. Good luck with waiting!! When is AF due for you?
toothpaste they were the day21 blood tests, testing for LH, FSH and progesterone levels, and any thyroid issues. It was marked 'secondary infertility' in the notes Sad
Brilliant news engels! You've waited so long so I hope the next 2 weeks fly by for you.
Hope everyone is ok.

lovesmycake · 11/03/2014 09:02

oooh sock puppets brilliant idea I have lots of spare material I can include in the box :)
ginger do you have 6 days till AF is due or till you can test?
I have one lonely clearblue in the drawer and I rather stupidly optimistically think I can wait till AF is late to POAS. Anyone want to take bets on when I crumble and head to the pharmacy for some overpriced FRE'rs!
I want to know who will be finding out what they are having too if not can we guess Grin

HungryHorace · 10/03/2014 20:46

Toothpaste, it apparently means girl. We shall see though.

And I've a feeling you may be right!

Toothpastekissesno2 · 10/03/2014 20:37

Yay swede that's fantastic! Over the moon for u.
Ginger what were the tests for? Think I missed that.
Cake - what about some sock puppets to make? Nice idea to make a box.
So my leg hair is slow too! What is that supposed to mean? I've only vaguelly been aware of it but u mentioning it makes me realise that's it's def the case! Who knows what they are having?
I have a feeling we are due another bfp!!!

HungryHorace · 10/03/2014 19:26

I just wanted it all done and dusted so I can just forget about it!

The isofix base and mattress came today, and we've had the cot bed a few weeks now. They're all the big items, along with the double pram.

I'm buying two boxes of nappies a month for a while too so we have enough 'stock' to see us through the first few months!

And yes, Better, it does, doesn't it. As we suspected. :-)

Baby is having a wriggle now. It's lovely!

DD has the reddest, roughest cheeks going, poor thing. I wish her top teeth would just come through now as she's really suffering.

BetterNotBitter · 10/03/2014 17:52

hungry your feeling sick supports our theory of lack of sickness so far being due to being at home & lifestyle!! Although I'm sorry you feel rubbish of course!! Kicks are lovely too! I can't believe you have nothing left to buy, I feel very behind! We've literally not bought one thing yet!

HungryHorace · 10/03/2014 17:28

Excellent news, Swede. Does that make you 8 weeks' pregnant?

Gingerbread, maybe make an appt with your GP anyway to talk about the results? It can always be cancelled when your ironic BFP comes this month! :-)

Better, I've nothing left to buy now. It's all sorted. We didn't need too much anyway. Though maybe I'll need more cot bed bedding for when they're both in the nursery. That can wait though.

I'm having a 50:50 baby too. Great, isn't it?!

I'm exhausted after a full day at work. I'm hoping it'll get better as I also feel sick. :-(

I've had kicks though, which is good!

Hi everyone else too!

CallingAllEngels · 10/03/2014 17:13

Great news swede

Ov here! The next 2 weeks are going to go very slowly!

BetterNotBitter · 10/03/2014 16:49

How long will it take for the results gingerbread? I'm so hoping for a BFP for you in 6 days so hopefully the results will become redundant. I also have a character for a 2 yr old, she's 2 and 302 months so not much behind you. Can't believe how much of a little person she's growing in to!

Great news swede , you can start to allow yourself excitement now. All bring well on Thursday I'll join you in the excited club!

Hooe you're doing abit better kt how's your ds?

I don't know re leg hair hungry it made me curious enough to google old wives tales re baby sex & by the boxes I can tick of each list, I'm having half boy half girl! So thoroughly inconclusive. Have you got much left to buy? I haven't made our baby list yet, waiting for the all clear on Thursday. Hope your works been ok today.

How's your day been today mrs? That's pretty much my plan too, stay at home until all children are at school. I've just started an open uni degree though to allow for a career change when the times right. I loved loved loved Leeds, still have lots of good friends there & I do miss it. I'm originally from Northumberland, just moved down to Leeds for uni, all my family and best friends are here plus my husband is from here too so when we found out I was pregnant with dd we set the wheels in motion to move back up here. Which is how we were able to accommodate me being a SAHM as we sold our Leeds house and bought our house up here based on only having my husbands income. If we'd stayed in Leeds I would have had to keep working as we had a much bigger house etc so needed my income too.

How are you other than the heartburn morerum?

morerummorefun · 10/03/2014 15:55

swede great news! must be a relief finally see your little bean Grin.
