So, here it is, Part 4! May it bring lots of BFP's for those of us still waiting and may it bring happy healthy pregnancies for those who are fabulously pregnant.

Yay for the smiley, Gingerbread :-) Isn't it great having that perky face grinning up from the stick? Day before and after has worked for me both times, so good luck!

Can't wait to hear your news tomorrow, Guinness.

morerummorefun · 08/02/2014 22:50

guinness good luck for tomorrow Smile xx

guinnessgirl · 08/02/2014 21:58

Gingerbread, hurrah for smiley face! Smile yeah I am totally POASing tomorrow morning. Will update in due course...

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 08/02/2014 21:20

Arr Engels, the cheek of him! Hope he was mortified. Not nice especially when you are trying to get pg. Not long to go for you now though till you can get back to it Wink
Well girls I finally got my smiley face today!!! I was so happy, did a little dance around the bathroom. Cd16 so quite late, but it's step in the right direction and I am hoping I will get a luteal phase of at least 10 days this cycle. Obviously no AF at all would be even better! Dtd fri morning, and will go again tomorrow morning, as DH is at work all day today, so hopefully we will catch it.
Guiness I definately think POAS in the morning, have you still got some sticks?
Claude hurray for the same cycle days! What day do you usually get a positive on?
Metal hope DD is ok, good to get it out the way before new baby makes it appearance though, hope you are ok too and DH is around to help out! Rubbish about everything breaking on you at once!
Zara congratulations on the bfp!!

CallingAllEngels · 08/02/2014 18:46

I was so taken aback that I just said "No" then let him ramble on about his girlfriend who he's known for 6 months who is now pregnant

Have added him to my shitlist of people who have asked me if I'm pg (always when I'm trying to get pg and never when I actually am!).

guinnessgirl · 08/02/2014 18:00

oh Calling, how thoughtless of him. People can be so rude without even realising! Brew hugs

morerummorefun · 08/02/2014 15:03

calling how rude! I hope you put him in hs place!
zara congratulations! 2nd bfp this weekGrin
metal my dd had chixken pox before Christmas and I was about 14ish weeks as long as you have had them you will be fine and its only ever a problem in the last few weeks of pregnancy xx jope you dd is ok xx

CallingAllEngels · 08/02/2014 14:38

Sad just headed out for an hour at local shopping centre to run some errands, browse and clear my head (ds is being really clingy and it's driving me slightly potty). As I walked up stairs from car park bumped into a friend of DH who straight away asked me if I "had soemthing to tell him" while pointedly looking at my stomach.

FFS! What is wrong with people? Now sitting home feeling chubby ( and most definitely not pg). Needless to say was not really in the mood for relaxed wander round shops after that comment.

HungryHorace · 08/02/2014 12:23

POAS, Guinness! :-) The law of sod says wine = BFP. Baby would be fine though (I was hammered the day before my BFP with DD as a test that day was BFN!).

guinnessgirl · 08/02/2014 10:47

oh Metalhead, what a rubbish week. Sympathy, hugs and Brew from me! Hope DD doesn't suffer too much with the itching.

STILL no AF here... 3 days late now. Wondering whether I should POAS again tomorrow now. Bit Confused as I was so convinced I wasn't pg that I enjoyed quite a few Wine yesterday with my friends...

claudeekishi · 08/02/2014 10:36

Morning. Congratulations zara! Gorgeous news.

Metal that is truly a crappy week. Hope your little one isn't too miserable.

Gingerbread, we're at the same stage so I can keep you company waiting for the smilies! Day 16 here and my cycles are about 35/6 days long. Not much ewcm here, a bit but expecting it to ramp up soon.

HungryHorace · 08/02/2014 10:33

Oh, I'll go back to work, but probably not to where I work now. If I do go back there it'll be while I look elsewhere.

They won't do part time and it's 90 minutes each way. It's just too much.

HungryHorace · 08/02/2014 10:31

Congrats, Zara. Very exciting!

Gingerbread, I'd stop doing them twice a day and only do them in the morning. Everyone has 2 or 3 cycles a year when they don't ovulate. You may be having one of those this month.

Metalhead, what an expensive time you've been having. Bloody typical, isn't it?

Re chicken pox, I'd give your midwife a call. I think they tend to be relatively relaxed about it if you has it as a child. If ATruth is about she'll be able to tell you.

Metalhead · 08/02/2014 08:26

Morning all, and congratulations Zara!

Ginger sorry you still haven't got your smiley, but if you haven't had much ewcm yet either that would suggest you haven't missed it and are just ov'ing late this time. I'd keep going until you get a smiley. That's a bit rubbish about the job, can't believe they're actually allowed to do that - surely that's false advertising?!

I've had a really shitty week. First our washing machine broke and we had to fork out £££ for a new one, then our broadband broke and BT took ages to fix it so I had to go into the London office on the day of the tube strike, DH's computer broke so he's having to go into his office twice next week, and today DD has come down with chicken pox!

Anybody know if there are any precautions I have to take re: the chicken pox? I had it as a child so hopefully I'll be ok, but might have yo ring GP on Monday. (oh yes, and of course now I will have to take more time off work to look after DD, after I just had 2 days off sick myself a couple of weeks ago...)

Hope everyone else is having a nice weekend!

guinnessgirl · 08/02/2014 07:37

Zara, congratulations! Great news!Grin Thanks

Zara1984 · 08/02/2014 06:04

Hi all

Haven't been on in a while (work! DS! millions of friends coming to stay!), hope all is well. Hope shagging plans are going well and that OPKs start behaving and showing those LH surges!!!

Got BFP yesterday and confirmed it with a digi this morning. Delighted! Hope it's a sticky one! No symptoms yet, unlike last time! Going to find the Oct antenatal thread... DC2 and DS could potentially have the same birthday ShockShockShock

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 07/02/2014 20:36

I know that's what I thought, why advertise something totally different! I guess if you're unemployed you'll apply for anything and take it... will find out next week anyway if I was even successful.

Yeh I don't know what's going on with the lack of smiley. I definately got a positive last month on cd15, the line was as dark as the control line. How long do I keep using them for though!? It's getting expensive doing it twice a day!

He thinks it's silly to start messing with your body and getting all sorts of horrible side effects, but he wouldn't be able to stop me taking anything! He's happy to go for the tests, but if the problem was with him he wouldn't want to take anything. I'm sure he would change his mind though or at least be open to suggestions as he knows how much I want more children, it all depends on what the Drs say really, I'm probably jumping a bit ahead of myself here!

9 weeks isn't too bad, hopefully it will be worth it for the extra money as you say, and hopefully they won't make the atmosphere horrible for you! Will feel so good to be rid of them I bet! WIll you go back to work after mat leave with DC2?

HungryHorace · 07/02/2014 20:28

That's weird about the lack of smiley, Gingerbread. I've used them for 6 cycles in total and always got a smiley. :-/

Would you take clomid or would your DH not 'allow' that either? A bit harsh to say the doesn't agree to anything.

I go back on 6th March. The minimum is 5 weeks, but I hope to do 9, hop just for that extra month's money. We shall see. I've not pissed them off with ACAS yet so I'm still hoping they will tell me not to bother!

And that's bonkers about the job. Surely not many people would be able to do something different from the ad?!

GingerbreadBabyPlease · 07/02/2014 20:20

Hi everyone.
Still no smiley Sad what the hell is going on?? I did it this morning and was gutted to not get one as today is cd 15, but then I thought well I usually do it later in the day anyway when I get it, so did one about 6pm and still no bloody face. So either it is going to come later, or I have already missed it. I haven't really been getting much ewcm either. Few cramps though. Why does my stupid body have to do this to me, it's bad enough that I have been trying for so long and now it's all going to pot as well. Angry DH is still being annoyingly optimistic and chipper all the bloody time. I got a bit cross with him earlier as he never lets me have a moan about how much it sucks. He doesn't agree with having any drugs/ fertility treatment either, so we're f*ed if there is an issue.
Phew sorry for the rant, lucky I have you ladies to moan at!
Anyway, the interview went very well, but they were a bit cheeky with the advertisement, it said 8hrs/week but they said in reality it would be more like 20, spread over 4 days, which I wouldn't be able to do. Oh and it's possibly only for 6 months. So I couldn't give up a well paid job to risk being unemployed after 6 months. Gutted, as I would loved to have worked there.

Hungry when do you go back to work? Have you decided how long you will go back for?
Rum that food sounds deelicious! The cookies sound so good, defo an improvement on pb cookies, will have to try them next! Shame about the pram being rather pricey, maybe wait for no.3? Wink
guiness hope you have an awesome weekend, girly weekends are so much fun, I'm hoping for one soon in manchester, filled with lots of alcohol and dancing!
Better very strange and peculiar re. the funeral, at least you will have a dress that works though!
Swede hope you are tucked up in bed and have a nice chilled weekend.
Kt sorry you're not well, and poor little DS, that is so cute!
Think I've got everyone...sorry for the very me me me post!

HungryHorace · 07/02/2014 20:14

Ooh, that's lovely.

DD has a Silvercross Linear Freeway which we are selling now we have the Oyster Max. It's lovely and snug and brilliant for newborns as it's so comfy. :-)

The Elegance is a better class of pram though!

morerummorefun · 07/02/2014 19:55

hungry it was a silvercross one, elegance in black it was beautiful! about £700!
swede put your feet up and chill out it is the weekend after all!
dinner was great not very Jamaican but still tasty.
gingerbread how did the interview go? xx

HungryHorace · 07/02/2014 18:27

My hunger is back today, Swede. I cannot stop bloody eating!

Gingerbread, any smiley yet? How was the interview?

Kt, I'm fine. Totally knackered though. I'm dreading going back to work!

I hope you manage to help DS get over his fear.

Morerum, what pram? How much?!

SwedeAway · 07/02/2014 17:21

Ah, finally home tucked up with a nice cup of tea. Dd is watching Sofia the First and I'm going to read my book. Early night tonight, lovely.

I am constantly hungry!! I want to eat everything! Think I will need to watch it so I don't end up like last time. I gained a lot of weight and looked like a hippo, really.
