So it's my first cycle of ttc number 3. I'm only 2dpo but I'm so, so impatient! Grin

Anyone else entering the 2ww madness? X

I can definitely see a line!! Try testing again tomorrow morning and it will hopefully get darker
How exciting!

sebsmummy1 · 14/01/2014 07:29

Ok so faint positive on a pink dye test this morn. No more blood at all whereas normally I'd be spotting. I think I might have done it! Only thing I'm concerned about now is whether the line will get progressively darker or it could be a chemical. I'll add the photo here;

Vickitoriana · 13/01/2014 23:02

The one i used was called 'answer'... A Cheapo one from my local chemist.

I'm spotting a little now... That never happens to me, nor does AF ever come early. This is a bit frustrating.

sebsmummy1 · 13/01/2014 22:15

Except for the test i used and then any faint positive is a blimming evap line unfortunately!! Its all over the internet as the worst test you can buy for false positives Sad

Always best to use a pink dye test and to keep testing to ensure your line gets darker Then confirm with a digi before you start announcing it to family .....ehem Blush

GlitterLily11 · 13/01/2014 21:59

Squeaky, if the line is grey or colourless it is an evaporation line. If it is pink or blue (depending on which test you're using) then that isn't an evaporation line, that's a faint bfp. Only the detection of HCG in your pee can react with the dye in the test to create colour xxx

Vickitoriana · 13/01/2014 21:58

I'm not gonna test now until sat... That'll make me late. I think it was evaporation earlier. :0)

Lottystar · 13/01/2014 21:35

Ooohh, fingers crossed Squeaky, let us know how you get along Smile

Oklahoma · 13/01/2014 21:22

I was wondering what an Evan line was but assumed it was just my new-to-mumsnet-ness!

Squeakybeaky · 13/01/2014 20:52

Evap!

Squeakybeaky · 13/01/2014 20:52

Welcome to all you newbies and very exciting vickitoriana! I'm not 100% how many dpo I am but couldn't resist testing this morning. Ridiculous really as still WAY too early. I couldn't see anything initially but when I returned some time later there was the faintest of faint lines there. I mean crazily, stupidly faint.

Prob an Evan line but it still gave me that pang of excitement! I should really wait a few days before testing now but so know I will do it in the morning - who am I kidding!

GlitterLily11 · 13/01/2014 20:37

Welcome Missmagpie fingers crossed for you hun xxx

Hi everyone. This is my first post though I do come on here to read what people are saying fairly often!

Reading this thread is very comforting for me. I have been ttc #1 for 12 months now. My cycle is irregular and I have not done any of the tests to track ovulation...yet. I was just going with the 'dtd two or three times a week' method until I realised it wasn't going to work. I read a Zita West book and have found out loads more about my fertility and I have gone to my GP and got the blood testing underway to see if anything bad shows up.

Though ovulation may be an issue for me, since I found out more about cervical secretions, I do think that I ovulated earlier this month - and now am waiting to see if I did and if it worked.

I have had many of the common symptoms of early pregnancy in past months and every time it has just been AF on the way. This month I am approx 10dpo and don't have any of the symptoms yet so don't know what's going on! I am very bloated but not had this before so no idea if it is related or something else.

I am not doing a test until at least Friday but it is driving me crazy!

Bless ya lotty. I can understand why you might be a little bit nervous xx It's funny, my DH says that I have baby brain already as well hehe.

Just praying the next 8 weeks go fast and smoothly. Same as you I will relax a lot more after the first scan xx

Lottystar · 13/01/2014 18:06

Sorry to hear that Smorgen, it's amazing after the 'what ifs' and expectations that we manage to pick ourselves up month after month. Hoping Feb will be your month too!

Welcome Oklahoma and Cheshire Smile

Viktoriana, that's fab - what brand was it? Your first morning wee should hopefully give you a clearer indication. First response are the best as far as I'm concerned.

Glitter, with your heavy books and multiple posts I think you have pregnobrain already Wink The pain has subsided thankfully. I just feel like I'm carrying a very precious cargo the size of a poppy seed at the mo, overly aware due to mc.

Oklahoma · 13/01/2014 17:02

Hi Chesh, I'm in exactly the same boat as you. TTC 1 and first month and also crap at waiting. I'm 9dpo and have already poas twice (both bfn unsurprisingly!). Nice to have other newbies on board.

cheshirem2b · 13/01/2014 16:48

Can I join in ladies? I'm new TTC #1 and first real month trying and tracking etc.
using the ov test I ov on Sat/Sun - we DTD (of course) so now we wait... I'm not very good at waiting! :-)

Vickitoriana · 13/01/2014 16:41

Sorry mrsmorgan... Thats so crappy.

I decided to do the second pregnancy test and there was the faintest of faint lines there.... I could hardly see it. This happened the first time i tested last year with my lost LO. Wondering if its a evaporation line... Any ideas?

Maybe i should wait a few day instead of driving myself nuts. Hmm

smorgasborgen · 13/01/2014 16:00

hey guys. feeling really sad! started bleeding today. bright red blood on the way t work. just feel really down about it. I had aching breasts all night the night before last which stopped me sleeping ...exact same symptom as my first n last pregnancy which failed at seven and a half weeks. Sad Sad Wine Wine

GlitterLily11 · 13/01/2014 14:29

Sorry girls, my phone is being super moronic and posted far too many times lol. Sorry xx

GlitterLily11 · 13/01/2014 14:28

Haha! Heavy, aching books..... lol. Stupid phone!

Try not to worry about the little pains, I am lead to believe this is your uterus beginning to stretch and also, as the little apple pip has now latched on, you may get the odd twinge as it grows rapidly over the next weeks.

Vikitoriana, your symptoms sound promising. Based on a 30 day cycle you may have to wait another few days yet though to start seeing some faint lines. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Keep us updated xx
