So it's my first cycle of ttc number 3. I'm only 2dpo but I'm so, so impatient! Grin

Anyone else entering the 2ww madness? X

Oh dear sebs he does sound a bit infuriating! The line should continue to get darker over the next few days to prove it to him Hmm but I'd say you're definitely PG as that's now 2 tests (that I've seen, anyway) which have been positive.
I'm afraid I may be heading for AF, though. Now on CD 28 and the spotting started yesterday evening. I know some people get spotting which doesn't turn into AF but it is following the same pattern as the last few months so I'm pretty sure AF will be here in a few days. First fertility clinic appt in about 3 weeks, though, so we have something to aim for at least.

GlitterLily11 · 15/01/2014 09:59

Hahaha! Part of the puzzle! Lmao. Bless him! He is maybe just being far too cautious. Have you taken a test this morning? Xx

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 09:47

Thanks Glitter that makes sense xxx

I asked him to explain why my period seems to be missing. He said, aaaaaah, that's just one part of the puzzle!! What a knob jockey lol

GlitterLily11 · 15/01/2014 09:43

After doing much research, online and with my fellow chemists I work with, I can say he is talking nonsense. The test line has a separate chemical in it to detect HCG only. This therefore makes it harder to get a stronger colour because it is collecting a very tiny amount of what it wants out of the sample, where as the control line collects much more of the sample (your pee) meaning it has a more prominent colour.

Chin up love, you can have your moment when you slam down a positive test in front of him :-)

Xx

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 09:10

Oh bless you Vicki, that sounds bloody hard to go through a loss and still have him refusing to believe it!!

I don't think it helps that my partner works in the field of pharmaceuticals and so says they would never build the tests with a control line that dark if the test line also wasn't meant to be that dark too. He said if a faint line was positive the control line would also be faint.

I just can't be arsed to argue about, particularly as I'm scared he is right. He did text me half an hour ago to ask if if done a further test with a line that he could actually see. I said no.

GlitterLily11 · 15/01/2014 09:08

Morning girls. sebsmummy sorry to hear you don't feel you're getting support from your DH. Maybe he is just a bit like mine. He didn't want to get excited about a possibility, just to be let down, and also didn't want me to get hurt by getting my hopes up before we knew for certain. If he doesn't want to hear of the faint lines, do what I did and just leave it out for him to see by himself xx

Loving all these symptoms for girls in the 2ww. Sounding very promising. I had cramps and back ache before my bfp :-) no ibleed for me though, just noticeably different cm (tmi)

Xx

Vickitoriana · 15/01/2014 08:46

Men!!! They are simplistic creatures. Last year, when i was pregnant, mine didn't believe i was pregnant at all... Even when i lost it he was very unsupportive. It's like because they can't see something it's not happening. I'm still not sure he totally believed it because he doesn't live with me and didn't see anything other than the CB digi... I haven't even bothered talking to him About the scare... There doesn't seem much point. If i am pregnant i intend to do it alone... I have a nice home, a reasonable job and have done it all before. Scary stuff though!

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 08:08

We have been trying for 7 months, he desperately wanted this child. It's just he won't accept it at this stage and do ruins it for both of us.

In his defence we have had a couple of false starts where I thought it was a line and convinced him and then got my period. But this time I know it's a LINE line Bd he is still acting like I'm living on cloud cuckoo and so we've fallen out as I've started trying to organise some practical things and he thinks I'm mad. There is no baby!! etc.

Totally infuriating.

Vickitoriana · 15/01/2014 07:54

Oh no, thats so shit. If it helps, my exH was like that with both of ours... He really shouted at me when i got pg with DS. It made it so hard. Is he happy about the possibility at least?

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 07:46

Ha ha you would think so wouldn't you!! We are not talking, he has left the house this morning with no word of whether I have done a further test and what the result was. He knew my period was due today, didn't bother to ask if it had stayed away. So pissed off with him right now, I've not told anyone in real life yet bar him and he has totally ruined the whole thing for me, AGAIN!!!

mrsb87 · 15/01/2014 07:45

Sebs mummy thats deffo a line!!

Vickitoriana · 15/01/2014 07:21

Awww... My cousin has a little boy called sebastian... You must be super excited right now?

Vickitoriana · 15/01/2014 07:19

By the way sebmummy... That line is looking good! :0)

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 07:18

I didn't know there was a pregnancy line you could ring!!

Just one other child, a little boy.

Vickitoriana · 15/01/2014 07:13

Pmsl fishnet!

It was a clear blue so who knows. How many DCs have you got?

I spoke to Tommy's pregnancy line yesterday and they thought it was likely the be implatation... She said the timing was about right. I guess it's no over til AF makes an appearance, huh!

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 07:07

Fishnet - faint

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 07:07

Now Vicki I have always (well twice!!) got a fishnet BFP on the day I see implantation blood. I would agree though that you don't get a decent line until maybe three days after.

How bloody annoying !!! Really hope that was implsntation and you get your BFP xxx

sebsmummy1 · 15/01/2014 07:05

Hey girls, threw myself out of bed this morn to see if the line has got darker and I think it has a tiny bit. OH and I aren't talking as he refuses to accept I am pregnant until the line is as dark as the control line!!

Roll on getting my digis through the post.

Here is the latest pic;

Vickitoriana · 15/01/2014 06:53

Morning!

The saga continues... Tested first thing this am and still BFN! The spotting stopped last night but there was a bit more this morning which isn't getting any heavier (at the moment anyway).

I was like an internet obsessive last night, furiously googling implantation bleeds and how long to leave it before testing... The consensus seems to be about 3 days before BFPs. Maybe i should never have sex bare back again to avoid this shit. ;0)

Lottystar · 14/01/2014 23:18

Hi ladies, sending good vibes out to all of you on the 2ww, it's the most crappy time of wishing days away to poas! Thanks

Poly, no offence taken, as happy as we are for others it's hard seeing BFPs popping up when you are too early to test or get a bfn. I also think we have a tendency to all get excited together and then go dwindle our pregnancy test horde. I have about 50 of the cheapies still sitting in my cupboard but that is probably a fraction of the number I had last week. It's just all too emotional at the time our hormones are nuts anyway albeit one way or another.

Glitter, try not to worry, I had twinges on the left side yesterday, I think it was wind or uterine stretching. Lasted around an hour or so and then went. Worth mentioning to your GP to ease your mind. I figured that if it was ectopic surely we wouldn't feel it when they are the size of a poppy seed?

PolytheneGirl · 14/01/2014 22:48

Yup. This 2ww takes the P. I had to take a couple of days off from MN this week because I felt like my crazy was feeding off everyone else's (no offence ladies!) felt like it was all getting a bit much and it's only my first cycle. If things don't go well this month I'm planning on focusing on healthy living next month with healthy eating and trying new recipes, a little exercise and a bit of pampering too. I'm hoping a happy healthy me is going to = a pregnant me!

MooMa1d · 14/01/2014 22:42

I know just wish there was a way of knowing!! Thought about it all the way home today lol I almost wish you still JS'ed and didn't have the internet to refer too!!

I had excessing cm over the last week which only just started drying up - and wasn't normal for me, I had back pains and tummy pains - tummy pains intermittent now but to be honest it could've been anything.

I wish there was a symptom that was a defo like.... I don't know..... you got a purple dot below your belly button as soon as you got pregnant. This dot would go away after a couple of weeks but if you got the dot, you was pregnant, end of. No guessing.... Now I'll go off to la-la land

PolytheneGirl · 14/01/2014 22:37

MooMa stay positive. I'm exactly the same as you. Have had my negative head on all day. Got my first bfn this morning (11dpo). But it ain't over till it's over! Don't know how I'm going to get through the next few days but we all will x

PolytheneGirl · 14/01/2014 22:35

They just don't get it do they!
