January 2014 bus. New year, new bfps!!!

Hi everyone,
Haven't been on for a while to post, just been lurking.reading all of your comments and my friend text to say shes been to the midwife this morning for her first appointment. Feel just like you in that I'm happy for her but jealous. She started ttc the month before we did.
Anyway, also a bit sad cus of work. A woman I work with made it clear she wouldn't be pleased if i got pregnant as this is my second year there and it would mean changes for her again. She said it as a joke but seemed all too real to me.
Just being sensitive I guess. Sorry to come on and moan!

So hard to stay sensible in the 2ww though! Impossible actually!!! I'm dreading the next 2ww and I haven't even approached ovulation yet! :/

sazzle I had those same tight/tugging sensations last week at around the same DPO as you - in fact they felt massively like early braxton hicks to me. I had BH from just after 20 weeks so I am very familiar with the sensation too! Who knows what it could be, weird bodies.

I think I have had twinges before mama, but not sure about a pulling sensation. But really i have convinced myself of several symptoms over the year ttc so i should really know better! It is an odd sensation though, like a tug, but surely too high up and too early on to mean anything really if i have my sensible hat on!

Sazzle! Have you ever had these symptoms before??? I've never had that! And that can only be a good thing!!!! Write everything down, that's what I do so that I can try and keep myself sane.....hasnt really worked though has it?!!! :/

Thanks ladies... Just had a good moan with my mum and feel a little bit better now. I just wish I hadn't said what I said. I did text her after to apologise. And obviously I'm absolutely over the moon for her.

SUCH strong pulling sensation in my tummy - what is going on.... I still can't work out if i'm 5dpo or 7dpo?! Arghh i need to write down these symptoms so i know not to get my hopes up every month!

English don't worry it is completely natural. I cancelled seeing a friend for nye because she announced she was pregnant after just ttc for one month (her second child,) and of course i was happy for her, it wasn't her fault it was easy for her and not for me.... just so sad for myself at that particular time. I feel better now, but sometimes you do need to wallow a little so you can move on. and to cheer you up xx

Awh English I'm sorry to hear your feeling that way! I know it's hard but I'm sure your friend will understand!! All these feelings are natural and can not be helped!! We all have them but it's not because we are not happy others are pregnant, it's just because we want it so much ourselves also....and that does not make us bad people and should not make you feel awful! you are only human my love! Chin up! Xx

Having a little cry... another of my best friends has just told me she's pregnant. That's 3 of my close 4! And i blurted out about my mc (which she didnt know about) and now i feel awful. and sad. and jealous.

Is there a Feb bus on the go yet??

Congratulations to all the BFP's!

I have had no internet access for the last week which seems to have made the 2ww even longer!

On CD35 today, I thought AF was due Sunday but it was yesterday going by last month. Decided to do a test this morning and it was BFN, however after getting a bit upset realised the line hadn't appeared in the control window! Too scared to do another one today so will wait until the morning I think. For the first time ever I actually poas, when I was testing for DS always did it into a pot doing the test that way and I think that might have been where I went wrong!

Thanks onelife! I'm ok really and your right we are entering the fun part so that will perk me up ;) I haven't warned DH re the pedaling....want to keep it for a surprise ;) hahaha!!!! just to see his face really!!!!

DH is so broody at the minute....well actually he has nbeen for a very long time....but more now than ever, I am too but he is so so broody! I've never seen him want something so much! Just makes it hard sometimes to see him like that and not get a bfp! Also so so many people around us are announcing pregnancies....some even with twins!!! and I'm thinking "twins! I only want one!!!! I'm not even being greedy! Just the one would be perfect!" I know that's silly and I'm super happy for everyone who is pregnant as it's such a special blessing! But you know what it's like just wanting it so much as well!

But hey, I know all you ladies feel the same way! I'm just venting!!! Anyway must dash......have some pedaling to be getting on with ;)

I've no idea where I am in my cycle after the MC so just kinda DTD when we feel like it and concentrating on our holiday - 6 weeks til we go, very excited!

Those fertility stats are really old Nordic and rubyshoes - I looked into it and basically everyone just reuses ancient data from the 1930s (as large enough studies are very rare). Data for modern women is much more positive - for late 30s and even 40s. So don't let it get you down! Will try to find the article I read on it in the observer.

Bfn this morning at 11dpo. Feeling pretty low. Hoping for a better outcome when I test again on Friday.

I'm in my fertile window now so want to just get on with it but I had a smear yesterday which went ok and my cervix looks very healthy...but nothing else does. I need to see a doctor, apparently. So now I'm panicked that if I fell pregnant this month all the rummaging won't help, plus what if I need treatment for something? I'm also now really, really sore so the idea of DTD is not an appealing one.

TTC really messes with your head doesn't it?

English thanks and good luck to you - I am not sure the village pharmacy has FRER but also I run the risk of running into colleagues or village gossip, I really couldn't buy anything here. I could poss drive off at lunchtime but I think I'd need FMU at this stage.

I didn't really mean near the max line exactly, but on the test strip, but just right at the edge before the paper starts. It really looks like the test line should be much higher so I guess it's just a hazard of using an IC. I definitely didn't dip the stick too much, and I rested it flat, but who knows.
